the food is ok. it’s close to my work and it’s convenient. the waiters(two of them) are very nice. service is fast and efficient. the only thing i don’t like is the owners(i think they are owners). sometimes the place gets really busy and clearly the two waiters are rushing and doing whatever they can to accomodate all the customers. but the owners just stand behind the register and never offer help. the wife takes take out orders, the husband swipes the credit card. but that’s it. the place can be chaotic and you simply ask the owners who clearly are not busy for a straw, or hot sauce, and instead of moving their lazy butts, they boss the waiters around to get it for us. i hate that…

If you want good food, fast pleasant service — and cheap this is the place. I work nearby and they never fail to deliver. The beef in the beef bowl is so tender.

Not better than Lucky China in Carson. Three Flavor a bit too salty and over cooked.

Good food, great service, unbeatable prices! I work nearby and come here weekly with a coworker for lunches. The main waiter, a middle aged man, knows our order by heart and confirms with us every time and almost never misses a beat. He is always very quick with the service, with food to the table within five minutes typically. The food is cheap, getting a cup of soup, a side of steamed or fried rice, and your entrée for about $ 8. It’s all really good, too! In the year I have been coming, there was just one off day and he apologized and gave us free rice the next time we came in. The service is just absolutely outstanding, I can’t speak more highly of these folks! The decorations are great, all paintings of wildlife that keeps it feeling cool and alive in there. Plus, they pump in great orchestrations, so the ambiance is unique and lovely. Great place to get in and get out.

I got the chicken and broccoli. Instead of the dark sauce, it had a white sauce on it. It was kind of bland.

This place isn’t exactly the best Chinese food I’ve ever had, but it’s certainly gets points for trying. Tucked away in a small business park in Santa Fe Springs, they’ve got the art of dining for the business man on the go down to a fine art. The lady that owns the place is super polite and the servers that work there are friendly and fast with drink orders, refills and clean up. Most people call their order ahead of time, come in, sit down, eat, pay and go. If you’re on a 30-minute time crunch, no worries– you’re sure to get a fresh cooked meal for you that includes fried or steamed rice, soup and an entrée– all for under $ 10. You can’t beat that unless you’re doing take-out! Jaime P. and I usually get the chicken chow mein and the orange chicken when coming. Like I said, it’s not the best in the world, but it’s good for lunch. I prefer it over a lot of the Chinese takeouts in the area that are sometimes twice as much and slow to deliver. Where else can you see acrylic paintings of jungle animals while eat? Check before coming. This place is open during business hours and is in a business park. If you go between 11 – 1, it will be busy!

Place is tasty. Sometimes you’re just in the mood for some Chinese food, and the fact that its close to the office makes it even sweeter. The Orange Chicken is delicious(great proportion of chicken to the batter). The spicy chicken is very good. And the pipin hot chow mein… yum. Couple that with fast and timely service with the affordable prices and I’ve got myself a staple for lunch throughout the week!

This place is great! Super friendly Korean lady, grumpy Korean man, delicious Chinese food. Fav. dishes. Asparagus chicken and Fish in black bean sauce. Very fresh and really tasty! On a budget, their small chicken bowl is $ 5 after taxes, and worth every penny. Fast service, and great to order to go. Always have ur order ready, and never have to stand around waitin to pay. or wait for the check. smart business people Kung Pao savory tip: try the greasy chili in the plastic tub on table. you may have to ask for it. Really puts your dish over the top. adds great flavor and spice(perfect with asparagus chicken mentioned above, and great with chicken bowls) In summation, join the Kung Pao Nation! It will change ur life

A sort of hidden little spot that I occasionally visit for lunch. Service is quick and effective. i think they mainly cater to the local corporate lunch crowd so they get your food to you fairly quickly. I stick with the Tofu delight which is good dish, but nothing spetacular. Most people I have went with echoed my sentiments about other dishes.

Wasn’t as good as I remember at all… — portions were small for their price. I had $ 7 orange chicken on a small dish with rice. — if the orange chicken was good then I wouldnt complain but it wasnt good… so… — water tasted horrible. like the mother of all tap waters + service is good + if you check in on Unilocal, they give you a discount BUT you have to talk to the cashier/manager

How strange, the last two times i reviewed this restaurant, my not-so-positive review was mysteriously deleted !(both times and I can remember what i wrote each time)! So i will write one again and see what happens!(again) WEIRD! And by the way, this is a REAL review written by a REAL person, who spews the truth ! Every review should be read and heard, whether good or bad, if not then that is just not fair, what is it, pay Unilocal to delete reviews or something? I work in the business park, somewhere, across the street, and have had some just OK food from here. Food is edible, however, not to be mean, just not very tasty, they need a new chef/new recipe ! Each time i leave this place, slightly disappointed. My coworkers and i really only go here in case of emergency, i. e, short on time that day and want quick edible food. But we all agree the food here just isn’t memorable !

Nice place. Most of the food is very good. However, I had to stop going here after I had two bad lunches in a row. Twice I had to send food back that my group ordered off their ‘Specials’ menu. One shrimp dish was just awful — the shrimp were obviously old because they were very soft and had a bad aftertaste. The manager was apologetic and took it back and took it off the bill with no problems. I’d come here again, but only order typical chicken dishes off the menu.

I LOVE coming here with work peeps! I don’t think we come here enough, actually. It’s a hidden Santa Fe Springs gem located in a small business complex tucked away from the main street. Since it’s well-hidden, people usually hear about this place by word of mouth from coworkers. I don’t believe they have dinner hours or even weekend hours, since most of their business comes from nearby companies for lunch rushes. My coworkers have gotten me hooked on the orange chicken and orange shrimp. It’s seriously so addicting! We usually get one of these as a lunch special, along with Kung Pao chicken and a veggie dish. Everything comes out super fast, and since we usually order from the lunch special menu, everyone gets a choice of soup and a choice of either white rice or fried rice. The hot & sour soup is pretty tasty. I do believe the owners are a nice older Korean couple. really nice, fast and efficient. The restaurant is small, and the walls are uniquely covered with random brightly painted animals. I almost want to say they’re swamp-ish animals. Sounds odd, but they’re actually quite entertaining. Definitely one of my fave lunch spots! One last thing I wanted to mention: beware of Kung Pao Bowl in Norwalk on Imperial Hwy… don’t think they’re owned by the same people. The quality of the Norwalk location isn’t as good as the SFS one!

The Kung Pao bowl is a great lunch spot. Cheap, fast and there are lots of tables. I’ve never had anything other then the lunch special… Kung Pao bowl. I avoid the hot peppers and I’m satisfied getting that every single time. It’s not the best meal I’ve ever had in my life, but I prefer this simple yummy bowl of Kung Pao to Geezers down the street where I can’t seem to spend less then 20 bucks on a lunch I can never finish.

This place has business lunch down to a science. I used to go here a lot back when I worked in SFS. I guess it might be a little too long since I’ve been there to write the review, but I can still remember how good the place was(plus I wanted to snag the FTR!). If you’ve ever been to SFS, you’ll know how industrial this area is, so I can’t imagine Kung Pao having much business after their weekday lunch rush. But snuggled in a little strip center surrounded by offices, Kung Pao runs an über-efficient operation. The lunch specials all come with sweet-n-sour soup, rice and have big portions that are fresh from the high turnover. The parking lot does have the narrowest spaces I’ve ever seen, but I was always able to find a spot.
