The store has good product variety. The problem is the workers and paying for your stuff. The workers walk around the store doing nothing if you ask them something they don’t know anything. And waiting to pay is the worst. Today I went in the line was so long and then they open a new line I step out cause the lady says I will take you sir and then says she meant someone else. So I said enough with this lousy service. I will not shop there again. You know people are going to be shopping there, why not open more registers so people can be out of there fast. The manager is no help either if she is even the manager. I don’t care that it is a 99 cent store hire enough people and train them to know something. Lousy store atmosphere

So happy to have a location near me! I love to buy water and other beverages. I love to buy groceries for baking and breakfast. I love the chocolate selections they have at this location! I also buy the reusable bottles here.

THISPLACEISINFURIATING. I hate that all the isles are completely, always filled with boxes and sometimes you can’t pass other people and you can’t reach merchandise. It is never an easy, trouble free experience. I needed to get candles for a birthday cake, they only had one box of candles, that is it one box. I also wanted to quickly get measuring cups, I had a giant wall of boxes blocking the whole area could not get to the baking, kitchen supplies. I started moving boxes out of the way but were heavy so I just walked out of store. Traveled ½ a mile down to dollar tree which had a better selection and was happy. Manager should be held accountable for the state of store, corporate should do a surprise visit, they would be appalled. The merchandise they sell are great, prices are great, they have the stuff I want to buy but no thanks, will take my business elsewhere. This isn’t a unique description of a bad day, this is their store everyday.

Just left this 99 cent store beyond annoyed. I came in for 1 item. Grabbed it and went to check out to find only one checkout with a cashier and 4 people whoring with multiple items. Than the cashier needs change. The manager calls for someone to come open a lane. Instead of taking the people who have been waiting like myself who was next, they take the last customer in line and the other manager who war to being change was taking her sweet ass time. Never once apologies except for the cashier but she had no control over the managers lagging or not being swift on their toes. Very annoyed with this location I’ll stick to the pico rivera store.

Great place with great things. I liked it here. You’re average 99 cent store. Julian was a nice cashier. I spent $ 50.00 here so they had some good stuff. I notice they don’t sell alcohol like other stores but that’s ok. Great parking. Some stores the lot is small or tight. The lot here is great. I don’t see their times here. . Mon-Fri 9am to 10pm. Saturday –Sunday 9am-10pm.

Another good experience today on thanksgiving! This newer location is so much better than the one near my house in Norwalk! The cleanliness, the staff and the wider selections! My cashier today was a middle aged woman, extremely sweet and calm. I was also surprised at how many things they have here. They even have real Oreos lol! Anyway I found my new dollar store near home! It’s with the extra two minute drive to get good service and a clean store.

Not packed… sweet! I really do like this 99 cent store. It’s always kept clean and the employees always have a great attitude. I also enjoy that they have plenty of parking space. They are on their A game. November 1st they were already putting up the Thanksgiving decorations. Love it!

I love this place! The selection some weeks is better than others but that shouldn’t be a surprise. I scored some water babies SPF50 sunscreen today(catch-expires in October), some pirates booty individual bags 6x$ 0.99, and a few others items. Love finding expensive produce like ginger and organic salad mixes. The cashiers are friendlier than most other 99 cent stores I’ve been. Greet them with a smile and they’ll 98% of the time respond in the same manner. Stop by, you never know what you’ll find :)

This 99 cent store replaced what was previously a super terrible, no selection having, over priced grocery store called Jax Market. I hated the fact that we didn’t have a decent local grocer and was so hopeful when Jax finally gtfo. It turned out to be slightly disappointing when 99 cent store was announced to take Jax’s place because we needed a good market in this shopping center, but they’ve proven to be pretty convenient, especially for quick, last minute dinner items when I forget while shopping elsewhere. Since they do have a small produce and grocery section, and the prices can’t be beat, I’ll continue to shop here on ocassion. No fresh meats, but you can find some essentials including real butter, dried spices, sugar, salt, and so far, I’ve had pretty okay experiences in that department. I have found some pretty neat items here: solar powered garden lights for our garden, clear plastic deviled egg trays that look like cut glass [haha], kitty claw trimmers, cat toys, cheap party supplies, baker’s chocolate, 16 count box of Lara bars for 99 cents during opening week, and lots of good snacks. No 99 cent alcohol D:

This 99 Cents Only appears to have opened up recently, as I remembered it as a little Mexican market — Jax Market. Wow, I do live under a rock. Well it’s about time, it’s in a good location off the freeway and in a well populated area of a mini strip mall(not too small though). Which is good because parking lot is a bigger one that the usual ones that are filled with cars and have to park further. Good thing about all of them is that people are constantly going in and out. It’s got that new store smell(Yay!) Fresh produce w/no gang of visitors in sight roaming and landing on the veggies & fruits(lol — gnats, like a family leaving a kids birthday party taking lots of large foiled plates home w/no shame), frozen section and since it is a bigger store, they seem to carry an abundance of items — more so than the surrounding areas(Whittier/Whittwood one has become so disappointing in the recent 10 years, it’s slim pickens there unless you get there awfully early on a weekday & Pico Rivera where the location is not a great one — busy Whittier Blvd right before the freeway & you have to do a u-turn & store is dirty, items is a little more limited than the other stores) So knowing I have those two choices, I usually save my shopping to my weekends & go to the one on Central Ave in Brea/La Habra border) Soooo, in saying that this was a pleasant little surprise and a lot closer. Employees were also helpful and friendly. This is going to be my go-to store nearby, next to little one in Montebello on my way home. I hope it remains nice for a long time, as Whittier’s store use to be before it got run down & limited in supply, but one can only wish that as time & people will wear it out. *Fair warning* — that store & shopping plaza/area continues to have the ongoing problem of a lot of soliciting & constant nagging panhandlers, so be prepared, because they are very pushy.
