I wish there were more than 5 stars on Unilocal because if there was she would deserve every one of them and more. I can’t begin to explain how absolutely wonderful this woman is. I dread going to get an annual but somehow she makes it less horrifying than I can ever remember with past doctors. She is friendly, professional, personable and very intelligent. Despite the fact she is seeing everything you have to show you barely think about it because she is good at distracting you from the awkwardness. She is the only doctor I will see for my girly check ups and I hope she never leaves! If you’re looking for a obgyn I highly recommend Dr. Michelle Van Ooy.

Going to the doctor is never at the top of my list of fun — or even remotely enjoyable — things to do. Having said that I also need to say, if you need to see a doctor — anything related to OB/​GYN — I think your first stop and number one choice needs to be Dr. Van Ooy. I believe you’re cheating yourself out of top notch care if you don’t.
I am not at all comfortable in a doctor’s office. I would do almost anything to stay out of them all together. This particular time my body had other ideas though… I ended up with a fairly serious medical issue that required immediate attention. I was told to see Dr. Van Ooy — she would know what to do. Not having a tremendous amount of love for, or faith in, the medical field I was skeptical.
Meeting her for the first time I realized I was in good hands. She’s very approachable, compassionate, very knowledgeable, VERY competent without a hint of arrogance AND… a real bonus… she has a great sense of humor!
Getting me healthy again became her goal and she’s seeing it through to the end. She has calmed my nerves and answered all my questions through the entire process. I know I’m in the care of a true professional.
