This is the most amazing place! Our daughter is so at home here and Capoeira is such a beautiful art form. We are so lucky to have such amazing people in Santa Cruz like Papiba and Melanie. I love watching the kids work so hard to master their moves. Amazing in all aspects — music, language, culture, movement, art, history, and dedicated teachers.

My kids go here and love it. So different from your regular dancing gyms around. Teachers are great and the cost is fine. Its been six months and they seem to be more open to trying things since they have become good at this. Very happy I enrolled them.

I have been training Capoeira with Mestre Papiba for 2 years now and I absolutely love it!!! I trained with other Capoeira groups before, but Raizes do Brasil, and Papiba in particular, made me feel like I was part of a family. Now they have a beautiful new space, more energy, and way more classes, all of which serve to further Raizes do Brasil’s wonderful presence in the Santa Cruz community. If you have ever thought about trying Capoeira this is the place to do it. The classes are affordable, especially when compared to a gym membership that doesn’t offer the same benefits of community, and the teachers and students are friendly and welcoming. It really will change your life!
