Everything is microwaved. The service is on the funny side the person that rings you up is rude but funny.

Employees were extremely rude when asking a simple question about the menu. Then continued to be rude throughout the whole ordering process. The food was also below average and the tacos were so spicy my friend was unable to eat them and had to pick apart her taco to get anything out of it. Will not be returning to say the least.

I love this place. I like to eat here because the food is good and the price is right. I got charge without being told $ 1.75 for changing the meat. That was shady and when I came back to question the discrepancy the cashier bolding tried to hide it… it is kinda sad but I am unfortunately not supporting this business never again. I would have been okay with paying 10 bucks for the burrito if I was charge that much. It is just the small detail of squeezing a little here and there. I would have not noticed if it was for my friend who is an accountant lol

Me and my friend came here for lunch at 12:30 pm on a Thursday. The cashier was friendly but the food was possibly the worst Mexican food either of us have had. I ordered the taco plate and the tacos were tiny and the beans and rice were below par, they also charge an extra $ 2. for chips and salsa and the salsa was terrible imagine tomatoe sauce ketchup mixed with jalapeños, my friends burrito was also falling apart. I’m not gonna be returning

Perfect place to grab a bite right by the beach/Boardwalk. All the crispy tacos are great, and the chimichanga is fantastic(though you’ll probably need a friend to help you finish it). Staff is very friendly and service is quick! Ronnie is awesome too :)

I enjoy the staff. They always greet me with smiles and make me feel welcome. Quick, friendly service. Oh! They make a good chicken quesadilla and a plain chili verde burrito if you ask me. Cold Beer too! Happy hour food/drink specials are only $ 5.50. Three outdoor seating areas, indoor as well. No restrooms. Street Parking meters only eat quarters and dollars so bring change. There are a few free spaces to park behind restaurant while you eat. The Beach Boardwalk, wharf, beaches, surfers, downtown are within a very short walking distance. ATM inside. Free cold water. Upon exiting, please dispose of your trash and clean your area for the next person to sit. You’ll be happy you did! M

I buy any tacos or burritos from this place with chicken as my choice of meat. It is always filling, and most of all it is very affordable, especially the burritos. Their menu is simple and they can cook it to go quick. More enjoyable than that are how filling their servings are which overall makes this a great place to swing by for a bite. The only challenge with this joint is how small it is and how it only takes cash payments so I only pass by when I have a couple bucks to take something to go. Just recently I tried«ground beef» on tacos and found if to be watered down grey mush. Seemed like canned food and I’m not sick, but definitely not willing to try that again. Like I said, chicken on anything and you’re set.

Great little lunch place for tacos. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Simple, but very tasty menu. I got the lengua and carnitas tacos, and they were reasonably priced, with rice and beans, and the meat was tender and flavorful! The staff is very friendly as well.

I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl. This place is still awesome, and really well priced. There’s free parking available, as well indoor and outdoor seating. Two tacos with rice and beans is around $ 8.00. The shredded beef and carne asada are really good, and the beans and rice are delicious, and made fresh. It’s within walking distance from both the wharf and the boardwalk, making it easy to find while walking, driving, or biking. Family owned and really worth the wait if there’s a line. So happy it’s still amazing after all these years!

Solid little dive taco stand! We got there to grab breakfast before they were officially open and they went ahead and opened for us. I had the Chile Verde breakfast burrito and it was great!

I should of left when I walked into this place and flies were everywhere. Then to top it off waiting for my food i was surrounded by wild dirty birds inside the restaurant. Moreover on the food. Mexican food is cheap to make. This place was awful 3 enchiladas rice and bean with a coke $ 13.00. By far the worst Mexican food I have ever had. Year to date I have been on earth for 37 years. As the day went on I almost sh^% my pants twice. Iam not coming back!!!

Had a taco de carne asada and it was truly disgusting. Carne asada is my favorite thing to order on a menu. Who doesn’t love little strips of steak in a tortilla? This place decided to use ground«beef» and disguise it as carne asada. The tortilla was cold and sticky like it had been microwaved. On top of the mystery meat was 2 – 3 chunks of white onion and gelatinous green salsa that was putrid to say the least. It was the worst taco I have ever had in my life.

So normally my fellow Unilocalers are on the money. But everyone that said this place is a good place to eat. Might want to get their taste buds checked. Because that food was tasteless. There was no seasoning and it tasted of grease. My deep fried taco just tasted like burnt tortilla. And my shredded beef burrito had whats less then zero flavor. Never again would I try this place or recommend it. It was so bad I had to tell my guy. I ate half of the burrito, don’t want to waste your money can I please throw this away. The low price now makes absolute sense. For what we paid for 3 meals it still wasn’t worth it.

This place USEDTOBE great. But unless you want a crispy chicken taco, don’t bother. Yes they have that item locked down and they’re really good at it but that’s it. The can’t get your order right if you simply ask for no this or add that. They won’t put ground beef in a burrito but they will in a taco? Plus the service is shit mainly because of that prissy little snatch that works at the registry. Younger Latino dude with orange hair. NEWSFLASHYOU’RE A CAREERTACOSLINGER. YOU’VEGOTNOREASONTOACTLIKEANYTHINGELSE. That prissy little trinket of a man will try to belittle you, generally will be rude and screw up your order on top of that. Not even worth the crunchy tacos.

This is the real deal here. Two buck fifty per for some of the best tacos I’ve had in awhile. BBQ pork(soft taco) and shredded beef(hard taco), and they top it with real grated cheese, fresh diced veggie and saucy chile verde. I love love the way they make their hardshell. Small place, but the guys that work there as super friendly and casual. Water in the corner to alleviate a spicy mouth.

The prices are ok, but the tacos were nothing besides common. Probably the are better options around the boardwalk area.

It’s a solid California style Mexican joint in Santa Cruz. It’s cheap, has good food, cold beer and it’s a block from the pier. Watch the sunset with a cerveza and a big plate of their chips! The chile Colorado is awesome!
