Karen is a true healer! I was referred to Karen by a friend and I am so grateful! I have been in chronic pain for four years, particularly in my hips and psoas as well as my neck and shoulders. I also suffer from bad allergies and anxiety. Karen did a full acupuncture treatment on me in just my first session and I’ve felt amazing ever since. She takes the time and care to make sure she really understands what you’re dealing with. Karen is warm, intelligent, and insightful and truly has a deep understanding of her practice. I was impressed by how easily she was able to understand my issues and move swiftly and gently to apply needles precisely. If you are suffering in any way physically or mentally, I would strongly encourage you to make an appointment with Karen. There are a lot of practitioners to choose from in Santa Cruz… Karen is a miracle worker, so choose her! :-)

What a blessing to have found Karen! She in an incredible healer, and such a warm, positive, and understanding woman.
She manages to fit me in when I ask her last-​minute when she can see me, and I always, without exception, leave her office feeling better by leaps and bounds. I’ve gone to her with hormonal imbalances, skin issues, lackluster energy level, HIGH stress levels, fighting infections and sickness, knee pain, etc, and have experienced marked improvement, and complete alleviation after a visit to Karen.
I really felt like I had an intimately connected doctor/​patient relationship, she remembers little details and gives sound dietary and lifestyle advice. She gives you credit for what you’re doing right (thats always nice, isnt it!) and gives good suggestions on improvement.
I’ve moved away to another city, but I would happily make a trip down to receive a treatment from her. Once you find an amazing practitioner, it’s hard to imagine trying to find a better one!
Additionally, I was blessed to have insurance, but I know that Karen’s rates are extremely fair. If you’re thinking of trying acupuncture for the first time, or experienced and looking for an excellent healer, I highly suggest Karen Jew.

Karen Jew is an amazing Acupuncturist. When I first called her and left a message, she returned my call promptly and set up a time to come in for a consultation and treatment. Karen is kind, compassionate and goes out of her way to make sure her patients are given the absolute best care. Karen sat with me and went through my lifestyle, helping me work on a better diet and exercise routine to aid in my overall health. She is so incredibly knowledgeable and definitely knows what she’s talking about.
Karen spends so much time with her patients. When no other patients are waiting, she will give me extra time to relax and work through the process. I went to Karen for Chronic back pain, as well as circulation problems and anxiety. Karen worked thoroughly to treat these issues and I would leave feeling like a new person. Karen spends much more time with her patients than I have ever witnessed or experienced with other Acupuncturists.
