Please take the negative reviews here with a grain of salt as they are obviously written by troubled kids who may never get better because they don’t have what it takes to do it. Consider that some punk is complaining about the food… we’re talking life and death here! Amazing. I just checked my son in of for the second time in 3 years and he attributes his 2−½ years of sobiety and the fact that he’s actually alive to the help he got at Janus the first time around. Anyone familar with relapse knows that you don’t always get it on the first try but these folks do know what they are doing. Granted, it’s not Betty Ford but it’s also not $ 100,000.

My brother went here and now he has almost 4 years clean and sober! He was a bottom of the barrel heroin addict and now he’s a straight A student transferring from Cabrillo to a 4 year university. The staff is friendly and inspiring. It has a beautiful location(a block away from the beach) with a solid program. Bottom line is I got my brother back and we owe it to the excellent start he got at Janus. Wish I could give it 6 stars. If you have a genuine desire to get clean this is the place to do it.

Our experience with Janus has been nothing short of fantastic. I read the other four reviews in shock as their descriptions are nothing like what we have experienced. The admissions staff of Amber and Heather were super responsive. They were able to confirm coverage and complete the business end of things very quickly and with compassion. They are treating us like we are family. They have been accessible along the way and continue to work to battle for insurance authorization, and it’s a mind blowing crime that we even have to fight this battle. From there, the residential care team took over and have been there at every twist and turn. And with addiction, there are many twists and turns. Ralph is a superb, brilliant counseling technician and Les the program director has been all about us getting the help we need. I cannot thank these people enough. They are saving our lives. And they are doing it with patience, humor, and incredible compassion, which is amazing considering the level of despair and struggle that comes through their doors each day. The staff at The Camp were also very gracious and professional, and so we are very lucky to have these two programs in town. If you have a young adult who is struggling with substance abuse/addiction, please call them and see if they can help you. I am thankful every hour of the day for the help they have provided us so far.

The most For-profit, non-profit you will ever find. It is all about the money on the front end and they will tell you anything to get that money. their treatment plans and model’s are out of date. The hands on counseling staff rotates in and out so often you would think they were patients. Again do not trust their admissions dept. They will be focused on money only. They can INNOWAY promise residential treatment for the entire program through your insurance. They will lie just to get a few days paid for than its out patient only. Don’t lose your loved onto this facility or ANY annex of it. It’s days of honesty and caring are long long gone.
