We love this store! We support their efforts with the homeless by shopping here for unique gifts. Most of the items for this store are made by the homeless to benefit their programs. We purchased their lavender healing lotion, honey Shea lotion 13.00 each and their womans lavender perfume 8.00 and men’s Bay Rum. Both of these are a solid salve, nice and fragrant not over powerful. Their lotions feel so luxurious and smell wonderful. We’ll definitely be back to try other things!

Just bought an AWESOME heart shaped flower wreath for a gift. High quality flowers and work on the wreath. Hannah that checked out my purchase was very friendly, and turns out she made this one. Beautiful, and very fair price for the quality! Thanks! They also had a nice assortment of other gifts, soaps, clothes. Will come again.

A nice collection of cool gift items hand made by the HGP interns and consignment items from local artists and crafts people. HGP is a great cause that helps homeless and people with challenges develop a sense of responsibility and value though their organic garden and the products that they make from what they grow. It’s also fun to visit their farm and farm stand on the west side near Natural Bridges, Shaffer Road at Delaware Ave.

Saw the a-frame board for the shop outside while strolling downtown Santa Cruz one day and decided to check it out. This is a great little tucked away shop, supporting a good cause! Lots of handmade and unique items for everyone. We walked away with a few beautiful cards of Santa Cruz scenery that are now framed and hung on the wall.

Sometimes people go through predicaments that are controllable but more often than not, people face hardships through no fault of their own. When you’re a at what seemed to be a dead end, death can come to mind because it’s an easy escape; bewildered — it may appear that there isn’t an answer because there is nothing and nobody out there that understands, sympathizes, and empathizes w/you. I’ve been there. What I can’t believe is that I found this gem just from frolicking around. I absolutely hate staying home on the weekends and it’s because I am confined at my desk for 40 hours a week, sometimes more and I’m confined in my car between 10 – 14 hours a week. The weekend is meant for me to relax and do the things that I enjoy: explore and sight see. Anyway. When I walked by this place, I didn’t take any notice but when I saw the sign in front of the store, I knew I had to make a purchase just to support this organization. Vocational schools cost money. Universities and colleges cost money. Any type of assistance require that you are either extremely poor, have more than 3 kids, or simply disabled in some way or form. A lot of folks out there do not know the endless resources that are out there to help them. This is one of them. This organization provides training and transitional employment for the homeless. And not just that, they offer support to help build self-esteem and confidence. Proceeds go towards funding such programs to help people off of the streets. I know that when you’re at rock bottom. there is nowhere else left to go but up but a lot of people have a difficult time conceptualizing that. It’s something I have learned through the many lessons as I was growing up. Life fuckin’ sucks but I love my life.
