First the positives: The front desk staff and hygienists are great and when Dr. Clevenger was head of this practice, I felt really comfortable and that my teeth were cared for. Since, Dr. Refaee and Ansarinia have taken over, things have changed. They’ve covered everything in layers and layers of plastic. The patient chair is covered completely in plastic and changed after every patient. Besides being very uncomfortable to sit on shifting, sticky plastic, it is also a big hazard to the environment when you think of all the layers they go through every day. When I asked about this, they said it was because they didn’t want to ruin the leather of the chairs with sani spray and wiping. My advice: buy some pleather chairs. Now for my biggest issue: I needed an old filling replaced. After the procedure, I went home and realized in the first day that food was getting caught between my teeth and was causing major gum pain. I returned two times over the next few months and was told that the«contact was ideal» and there should be no problem and that to redo my filling again they’d have to drill out more of my real tooth but we could try it. The tone from the dentist was condescending, and they basically defended their work and implied I must be wrong about my pain and constant need to floss food stuck between the new filling and the next tooth. After consulting a new dentist and seeing photos of this ‘filling’, I am appalled. The tooth is completely butchered. It looks like half a tooth. And the new dentist assured me they could redo it and avoid removing more of my real tooth. In other words, Dr Ansarinia did a very bad job and tried to cover it up with a condescending ‘Doctor knows best’ attitude. On top of that, I never felt like they cared about me as a patient, very dry and inauthentic bedside manner.
