Carpet One Santa Cruz

This review is solely for two flooring installers of Carpet One. When you choose your floor, David and Rolando are the best possible installers. They do an excellent job, are detail-​oriented, clean up every day (even dusting sawdust off the outside plants), are experienced and knowledgeable, show consideration to the customer in every possible way, work quickly, and are a pleasure to work with. They do not smoke, do not play a radio or make other unnecessary noise, and are generous in taking the time to help you set up your furniture exactly the way you want it afterwards. They set up their saw outside, even in moist weather, and they vacuum the house every day. They work very hard and well together. It took just two days and a couple of hours the next day to finish three closets, a large room and two lengths of hallway, as well as one subfloor completely built from scratch, and that included moving furniture repeatedly to make room for more flooring and then to reset it all afterwards. David and Rolando are pleasant, cordial, honest individuals with as much integrity as anyone we have met in any walk of life.

I was disappointed by the customer service I received when I went in and asked for help and information. I was looking for samples that all the Carpet One’s carry or can order for a house we own in a far away town and the man I talked to at the Santa Cruz store seemed disgusted that I wouldn’t be looking at his more expensive carpets, even though I wasn’t going to be putting carpet in a house in Santa Cruz and thus couldn’t buy the carpet from him. He acted like he was in a hurry and I was holding him up, he didn’t find someone else to help me even though there were several other employees in the store, or offer to give any prices, just pointing at a couple of sample areas and turned and left. It was discourteous to me and to the other Carpet One business owner who had sent me there to see what was available. I have had to cancel my appointment with the other Carpet One owner because I don’t have time to travel to the other town to pick out carpet at that store.
