Nice bowing alley. But I absolutely love the bar! And they have good reasonably priced bar food.

No competition, but it still stands out as a fun evening in Santa Cruz

I’ve been to Boardwalk Bowl a handful of times. I went when I would buy the wristband at The Boardwalk. I love bowling but I’m not a pro, but it’s always a fun time in there.

No place for kids. They don’t have any ramps to be used for children which makes it much less exciting for them and for you. They don’t think they need to carry them either. After talking to an employee they said they were«too busy» to have them around. Across the street from a family Boardwalk? Also the one game I wanted to play in the arcade was out of order.

Misleading information on pricing for parties, no way to confirm the price but based on a verbally given price by phone. When got there, it turned out to be triple what they gave me over the phone. No confirmation e-mail, no prices on web-site. Bait and switch comes to mind… Yuck!

This isn’t old school bowling alley it is completely computerized. No more using a score card and arguing about the score. Score is computerized, simply bowl and everything else is taken care of. Makes the games go by a lot faster. The animation of bowling a strike or spare is kind of cool.

Wow would you say about this horrific establishment. Bad music and the music karaōke are horrible. Then the security guards act like Paul Bart(mall cop). Stay away this establishment is horrible. Dont go not a family or stay at home. Bad times at this placen

Pretty nice bowling place around where I live. Good food, not messy and greasy. They have a bar right next door. Witch is good for someone who wants to drink. The place is also clean of trash and all that.

my boyfriend and I met up with some friends to bowl. My boyfriend purchased a pair of shoes for him and I and two games. After paying for the games, sales clerk told us we had 20 minutes to finish those two games and was pretty smug about it. I really disliked the fact that he intentionally took our money only to tell us after the fact that there was only 20 minutes left to play. We had five people in our group. not likely to finish those two games in 20 minutes. Prior to this experience, I have always had a pretty fun and carefree time at the bowling alley. I just really don’t like feeling as though businesses cheat their customers out of money.

What a fun local alley! My boyfriend and I went in on a Saturday night around 8, and expected this place to be packed, but it really wasn’t. We waited about 15mins for a lane. The prices here are excellent, it was about 24 $ for shoes, and bowling two games. It was a nice activity to do after dinner, and a way to try and beat my boyfriend at something he’s really good at. My only downfall of this place is that it really smells of pot. I get that this is a surfing town, but my goodness there’s children that play here.

They stole my beer! They were holding my grocery bag at the counter because no outside food or beverages were allowed – when I got my bag back after bowling there was 2 beers missing from my 6pack.

My friend and I bought a ticket at Costco that allowed us a free game of bowling along with unlimited rides at the Boardwalk, we had so much fun here! It was pretty empty on a weekday, so there wasn’t much noise or cramped lanes, so that was pretty nice. In Livermore, Granada Bowl can get pretty packed, so this was a nice change of pace. This place seems clean enough for a bowling alley, and even if you don’t have a free game pass, it’s still pretty cheap(we ended up doing a second round). Employees were friendly and food was cheap and deliciously greasy and unhealthy. We’ll probably go back here when we next stop by Santa Cruz.

Not the greatest place to go bowling, there’s other spots way better than this place. There was an older lady working that was unpleasant and made us feel uncomfortable as well. The place is small and feels overcrowded. Only reason I gave it two stars is due to the price which is fair but other than that I don’t believe I’ll be back here.

Not a fan of bowling but the kids are and it was football Sunday. Kill two birds with one stone. The place is well kept, the associates were really nice, they go around cleaning the areas of dirty plates and empty beer pitchers which is nice and the kids got to bowl a free game for bringing in a can of food to donate. Sweet.

This is a medium size alley, I made a party reservation for my daughter’s 4th birthday. The reservation process was annoying for I suffered many failed attempts to get a hold of a coordinator to reserve the party. Finally after a fourth attempt I spoke to Will and I was able to make the reservation over the phone. I suggest doing your homework and check pricing. If you go over the amount you paid when the reservation was done a balance will be given at the end of your party. The day of the party was a better experience. BB has a staff member available to party goers. Diane our staff member made sure things ran smoothly the entire time. Having her there made it less stressful on my part and she made the entire experience much better than the booking part. Overall the later part of my experience while have my family returning in the future.

Even though I said«never again» in my previous review, I was convinced by my family to give it another try. We had a great time. It seems service and conditions have improved signifigantly. Looks like they’ve won be back over. :-)

Terrible, terrible place to bowl, but it’s better than not bowling at all! First of all, the staff comes off as unfriendly and unenthusiastic. Nothing steers a customer away more than a pissed-off looking worker. Also, when we went to our two assigned lanes, we tried entering our names on the monitor and I swear, BARELY any of the keys worked. It took us a good 5 minutes to have 3 or more of us have to punch in the letter«C» for one of our friend’s name, and we ended up giving each other really weird names because many of the keys on the keyboard were not working properly. What a great start to the game already. Otherwise, our bowling process went pretty smoothly. But no thanks to the bored looking workers or the broken keyboard. Tip: Half-off games are Wednesday Night! Pretty good deal — 1 game and shoe rental = $ 6.00 :) Not sure what the time frame is for half-off games, but we went at 10:30PM and it closes at midnight if that helps!

Just stopped in for a couple of drinks and it looked like a lot of fun. Drink prices weren’t bad and the bartender was cute. I noticed that they had a band setting up as we were leaving. What more could you ask for?

We went on a crazy busy Saturday night. The prices are good, and the place is fun. My Problem was how the bar kept over-serving the drunks next to me. My 10 and 12 year old daughters had to put up with hearing the F word shouted repeatedly, spilled food AND drinks, and a girl literally falling onto our laps. There is no excuse for that. I talked to the security guys — who did nothing. This was 7pm… so REALLY? If you want to bowl — it will be fun. But don’t expect much from management or security if things get dicey.
