Beach Liquors

Rude ass employees went in to grab a few snacks 5:15 Sunday the 1^st of May! Couple bags of chips I think a drink to I was looking to buy a big bag of Doritos the rude cashier said they ran out ! so I bought 2 – 3 bags of little ones like 2 $ each who cares I’m hungry I know you guys are pricey but a owner has todo what he has todo ! But as I’m waiting in line I see them hook up people by not letting them pay and then grabbing like $ 10 out the register and puts it in a tip jar and looks at his co worker like we need it bro! WHAT KIND OF GHETTO ASS LIQUOR STORE has A TIP JAR? Never Of my 25 years of living I’ve seen that So I nvm that I get ready to pay. paid it came out to be like $ 12something with $ 1 cookies and 1 $ Arizona and 2 chips! Then someone behind me said look they have the big bags of chips even tho the cash register dude said they didn’t so I grab it and say he I’m gonna grab this instead of all these chips ! Then he’s like its $ 2 more then I was like wait I just gave you hella money those chips came out to $ 2 something each or more and the big bag of Doritos are $ 4.something he was like yeah so it totally confused me so I paid the difference and accidentally took the other chips that I didn’t want I literally walked outside and was standing right in front of the store getting yelled at by my girlfriend cause I was taking to long in there and I was telling her what happen inside ! Then the worker comes out and was like «You stole our chips «I was like what !? I swear it was by accident I didn’t mean to I’m not one of those people todo shit like that! Or else I wouldn’t have been standing right in front he tried to
Embarrass me! It was totally by accident cause I was so confused about what the fuck just happen in there ! Maybe they were treating me like shit because of my race and I’m African American idk but the owner needs to check these rude ass good offs in here hooking up all there friends with tip jars !

Good hours, good prices, good location. Parking sucks, but all else is good. Not the usual markup you’d expect from a place like this. 3.49 full size odwalla… Just like at safeways!

This place is located on Beach Street, almost directly across from the entrance of the Santa Cruz Pier. Let me start by saying that everything in this store is overpriced, the cashier/​owner was very rude. I went into this place to grab a few last minute supplies for a picnic on the beach. The prices were double to triple that of any other local stores. I guess if you are desperate and need something quick this place is ok. I was surprised that the cashier overcharged me on their already inflated prices.

Your basic liquor store with a very decent selection of snacks. :D

Located on the other side of the tracks, Beach Liquors is a small overpriced liquor store with minimal selections. It’s expensive because tourists will buy alcohol regardless of price. It’s small because there’s no selection and there’s no selection because it’s small. This place truly sucks. The cashier also seemed grumpy. He acted civil towards us, however, the stench of asshole was overwhelming. This is probably the worst beer store in Santa Cruz. That became evident after only one visit.

THIS PLACE SUCKS!!! Listen this place is way over priced! A tall can of Rolling Rock should not cost $ 3! I will make the extra third of a mile trek to 711 where the same product cost $ 1.70. They do not put the price next to any of their products. SCAM!
The only thing that this place has going for them is that it is right next to the Boardwalk.
This place is a tourist trap.

Very fancy selection of beers. I came here in the Summer just to buy beer to drink at the beach with some friends. We swam in the dirty beach and walked across the street to this store in our bathing suits and bought a bunch of different beers. We wanted to try something «new» so we bought a bunch of beers we never tried before ha like australian, german, and indian beer.

Ah yes, the place that kept our company offsite party going. What else do you do when you’ve exhausted a hotel’s immediate booze supply? You walk to the nearest liquor store of course. Four of us made the brave 125 foot trek down and up the hill again buzzed out of our minds carrying cases of booze back to our hotel. Thanks for hooking us up Beach Liquors!

I love this liquor store, it’s right across from Ideal Bar and Grill, so pick up a couple of shooters before heading to the bar and save yourself some money. Greg Kristy and everyone else who work there rock for putting up with me and my drunk amigos.
