We have been coming here several times a month since they opened. The place is always clean and the food freshly prepared and consistently good with generous portions. Service has always been quick and friendly and they never complain, even if you walk in right before closing. Coupons in the mail make it a really good deal but even without, good value compared with the other rice bowl places and a lot healthier than regular fast food. Recommend the honey walnut shrimp, big succulent shrimp lightly battered and crisp, with just the right amount of sauce and walnuts. The tilapia is nice and it helps that they cook it to order so it isn’t overcooked or mushy. Disappointed in the orange chicken despite the fresh orange sauce, too much batter, hard to tell that there’s much actual chicken. Just wish they had brown rice but that’s not really a Japanese tradition.

This food has gone downhill and this food is absolutely disgusting! Their orange chicken is rock hard and cold, you can find higher quality frozen orange chicken from a supermarket. The teriyaki has no flavor and it is obvious that Yoshinoya uses the cheapest chicken pieces possible, I have my doubts that it is actually chicken. Do not eat here you will regret this food!

DISGUSTING! Came here once and never went back. Meat and chicken tasted old and frozen and ye sauce was also gross.

I grew up on Yoshinoya and it’s nice to know they continue to expand. This location can get pretty busy and the food is still consistent with the good flavors the beef and chicken bowls are known for. The Asian BBQ wings are very good too with garlic, ginger spices and green onions that’s finger lick’in good. I usually ask for it plain with the sauce on the side and they happily oblige. Beef Bowl still hails as their signature order and it’s nice that their combo meals are available for the undecided. Personally I think they’ve added more rice than needed but hey, they wanna give more I’m not complaining. Yoshinoya.it’s what’s for lunch or dinner. ;)

Good Yoshinoya. Orange chicken is really good and comparable to Panda, but more of a Tangerine flavor. Jazmine was at the register and she was very polite and professional.

Just a heads up to Unilocal. No this Yoshinoya ISNOTCLOSED, my wife just stopped by today and ordered their new orange chicken with white rice and saved some for me. Think Panda Express only a bit sweeter. Actually not bad. They were also accepting resumes and scheduling appointments for hiring. Somebody told you wrong! 11−24−15.

I can’t get enough of this place. Chicken and orange chicken done better than most Yoshinoyas I’ve been to. Great polite service every time. Keep up the great work, to the staff.

Let me start by saying we really like this establishment and enjoy their food very much. This location is hard to access but, worth the trouble. Today, unfortunately we had a bad experience. We arrived at 9:40 pm. This place close at 10:00pm. We arrived and order the usual. Enjoying the meal and talking with the Mrs and two children. At 10:00 pm we are still eating inside the restaurant then, the guy behind the counter comes to our table an says«you know we are closed and need to start cleaning up»… I get it, these people need to close and I’m sure there lots of things they have to do BUT, is it necessary to say that? He could have simply said something like: we are closed and we are going to start cleaning hope you don’t mind… The message is the same but presentation a bit better, in my opinion.

Very inexpensive and clean. They cook it fresh too! Don’t forget to get the ginger and red pepper flakes and cheesecake for dessert.

Great if you overpriced mushy clumps of rice slathered in grey meat in a funky sauce. Their teriyaki is palatable but the veggies were did not taste fresh at all despite obviously being frozen. Nice employees, though I feel sorry for them. I have actually enjoyed other locations when I was younger, but I just can’t anymore.

What else is there to be said about Yoshinoya? Good tasting, hunger filling and inexpensive fare. Hard to beat the value of this go-to-when-you’re-hungry joint. The fact that this chain can be found in Japan makes it legit, unlike other teriyaki eateries this side of the Pacific.

Good food and quick service. Tried the wings for first time and enjoyed them very much. Usually get the«spicy» chicken bowl which is always satisfying.

Great fast service, and did I mention the food is great? The combo bowl is always super satisfying, and the new grilled tilapia feels like a steal for the price I pay!

It took awhile but there is finally a Yoshinoya in Santa Clarita. It is the only location in SCV. The restaurant is located at the corner of the busy intersection of Sierra Highway and Soledad Canyon Rd. It’s a small location that seats about 20 – 30 people. The service is great here. They are very fast with orders.

It’s Yoshinoya! I liked eating this in the valley and when I lived in Bbank so I was excited when I saw they were putting one in CC. It’s fast food asian food its good. You dont go to McDs expecting gourmet lol so don’t expect homestyle cooking on this one. Its decently priced cheaper than flame broiler. If you want the«healthy version» of yoshi go there but if you want your food in a minute and like skin on your chicken this is your place. I gave it four stars because theres no drive thru –_–

Their Beef Bowl may not be the best among the many Yoshinoya I’ve been to but well, at least it is close to home. The beef could be a little more tender for sure! As for the Chicken bowl, please skip. The Teriyaki chicken from Sarku Japan in Valencia mall’s food court easily beat Yoshinoya’s hands down on the taste scale. You might just fare better cooking your very own.

I’m reviewing for my partner because I couldn’t eat anything here. I don’t eat beef or dark chicken and that’s all they have. I also stay away from white rice, but they didn’t have brown. My partner had a beef bowl and she said it was«ok», nothing spectacular. They give you a TON of rice. They also lose a star because they only have pepsi(gag). The staff seems pretty clueless too. I asked if they had chicken breast and they said Yes, the manager overheard and corrected her.

So I woke up, and hoofed it down here for breakfast today. I got there, and of course, I had a coupon. It was a buy one bowl get one bowl free. My coupon had expired on Thursday 4/18, but since this place opened on Friday 4⁄19 the manager happily accepted the coupon on Saturday, 4⁄20. Thanks to me, the new people behind the register got on-the-job-training with coupons. I ordered a combo bowl, and a beef & Vegetable bowl. I asked that they pack one up to go. The total was about six dollars, and I went back to a table to wait. I looked and saw that there were balloons all over the place, and the place is clean and pristine. I hope it stays that way. The Manager brought freshly inflated balloons outside for their sign. My number got called and I went up to grab my tray. It was quite heavy with both of the containers on there. I brought it back to my table, and opened one up. It was the combo bowl. Chicken, shredded beef and vegetables lay on top of a bed of rice, and the whole thing was warm and spritzed with teriyaki sauce. I grabbed the fork that was provided and speared some chicken. It was quite flavorful. I tried to spear a bit of the beef, but despite it being shredded, it seemed to be one long piece. I had to break a part off with my fingers to not get the whole piece in one fell swoop. After trying each piece individually I did my best to scoop up a combination of items from the combination bowl. It was very tasty. I scarfed the rest of the bowl down in a few minutes. My belly was very full, and I had a second meal in a few hours after I got home. I’m quite glad this place has been added to that location. it’s another restaurant I can walk to after I get home from my day at work. Good job Yoshinoya, I’ll definitely be back.
