Customer service needs major improvement. I blame it on the store mangers for not training the staffs right ! Drive thru is a complete chaos… They don’t seem to get customized orders right and I have to repeat 5x. Come on … Coffee bean!

This is the best coffeebean yet. Their staff is very competent and polite. Everyone works synergistically together as if they were family. For the past month and a half, I’ve been ordering coffee and tea from this location. I’m glad Alma knows«Nikki’s» order by heart. Alma also smiles at every customer and is by far, one of the most professional employees there. Also Amanda«the barista champion», thanks for the small talk. You will be a phenomenal psychologist one day! Lastly, Chris, I’d like to personally that you for keeping calm under stress. When Nikki’s finger was bleeding, you were very prompt and had a quick sense of urgency. I can see why customers love this location. Keep up the excellent customer service and work ethics. Sincerely, a usual customer, Randall.

AWESOME& friendly baristas! Cozy dining area. YUMMY drinks. I ordered the hot Matcha Green Tea Latte with soy milk, no foam, and extra hot. It was delicious! My husband ordered a hot Mocha Latte and it was also yummy! Can’t go wrong at this place! I was here early morning and there were already quite a bit of peeps so I can imagine that throughout the day, it was get crowded. Convenient location because it’s located at the Westfield’s Mall.

To my shock and horror, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has decided to discontinue offering their classic Dark Chocolate Latte. This one drink was the sole reason I chose them over that other brand from the Emerald city. Hopefully it was only this particular store that will cut ties with that delicious confection but I will be shocked if it’s statewide. I decided to try the Matcha Latte instead and was not impressed in the least. I had to look inside my cup to check if they hadn’t inadvertantly put fish food in my drink because the potent flavor and smell reminded me so much of the flakes I would feed my pet goldfish, Juggernaut. I miss him so, but I digress. These two miscues from this establishment have really shaken me to my core. Please bring back my favorite drink or risk losing me forever CB.

I visited this location on a Saturday night around 8PM. It was pretty consistent, but it wasn’t particularly busy considering I have experience as a barista. We(my boyfriend, my one year old son who I was wearing on my chest, and me) walked in and two people were in line in front of us and two ended up behind us once we were ordering. The front cashier was sweet and friendly. Can’t recall her name, but she had to constantly go back and forth between cashiering and help the barista because he didn’t know pretty self explanatory things. He didn’t understand what steeping tea for longer meant. The whole ordeal made me wonder why they didn’t just switch places since cashiering seems easier, but whatever. We ordered a hazelnut iced coffee and a hazelnut iced americano. Easy peasy stuff. We ended up waiting 17 minutes for it. Excessive? Oh yes. The barista, named Alex, was aggravating to watch. He made drinks out of order. A customer behind us ended up getting her drink before ours, and we got our drink before a customer in front of us. So who knows how long they had to wait. So this location is in LA County — which means if you’re working in the food industry, you need a hat. Alex was not wearing one. I don’t get grossed out by things like that, but am very aware of food health and safety laws. Also, since Coffee Bean uses powders instead of syrups, they are forced to whisk your drink. He decided to just shake ours up a bit instead which resulted in a great drink until the last half, then it was super bitter and hazelnut-less. On top of that, he added brewed coffee to the americano and one espresso shot. Nope, no brewed coffee is technically supposed to be anywhere near an americano. It’s literally just espresso and water and ice(and hazelnut in this case). Overall, I prefer Coffee Bean over Starbucks because I feel like Starbucks’ drinks are inconsistent tasting. But this location sucked during this visit.

Better chai tea than starbucks, but worse selection of treats/food. A nice change of pace when we visit the SCV, but they have a lot of places to improve

My favorite Coffee Shop since the early 90’s. I’m not even a coffee drinker but I love their tea lattes and bran muffins. Anyway, Love this place!

I greatly prefer their coffee over the competition. I sometimes prefer my coffee plain(no sweeteners or milk/cream) and the flavor is fresh and robust. Iced or hot, it is consistently served this way. Their happy hour is generous. From 3−5pm I can get my drink half off! I don’t have to buy one to get one and that’s a major draw for me. Their featured, limited time only beverages are innovative and help to mix things up. The variety, freshness, and overall quality deserve a 5 star review, but the customer service bring my rating down to 4. I am in customer service myself so I understand the pressures and demands, but a smile once in a while, especially to a returning customer, wouldn’t hurt.

This coffee bean has seriously the worst service. I love the coffee but not the customer service the staff is rude. They take forever for my drinks when there’s no one in the store. And it’s always dirty in there. I’d prefer to go to the other coffee bean! This one sucks!

Excellent service and selection. I like CB&TL much better than I do Starbucks and since the selection is better it is a no brainer to me. I wish they had as many locations as Starbucks though.

Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf makes my absolute favorite iced tea! Any tea on their menu can be made iced, but my favorite is a Cherry Blossom iced tea. It’s a green and it’s a little floral and it’s great! They’ve also got great holiday drinks. The red velvet hot cocoa is so yummy! This one’s at the mall so there’s lot’s of seating in and outside and ton’s of fun shops to browse while sipping your drink. The employees here are friendly, they sell a bunch of their drink mixes and teas(loose leaf and bagged) to make at home. Coffee Bean beats Starbucks

Friendly employees, fast service and hand crafted drinks made the way I want them. I’m in! Unlike those other people, the coffee here is not burnt and your latte is made to your specification. They use non fat milk automatically and i’ve never had an unfriendly barista. Into teas? The tea selection at coffee bean is second to none and they will happily go over the extensive list with you. I absolutely love the layout of this location and even though it’s in a mall, it’s not rushed and has a family type feeling to it. Everyone here will work to get to know you and your preferences so that day you don’t know what you want, they can suggest something. I absolutely love it here and choose this shop over any of the others in the mall anyday.

I have always preferred Coffee Bean to Starbucks. So whenever I have a choice, I come here. This is a small store but the setup is pretty good, almost like a snake pattern. You get in line, hook around to order, then wait at one of the chairs/tables or over by the pickup counter. They have outdoor seating, which is always good for one of my favorite past times, people watching. Plus its at the mall so its nice to get some coffee and then do your shopping. On this particular day, I ordered two coffees. One came out in a timely manner but the other didn’t. Turns out they forgot the second one so when I went up to the counter after waiting for an extra few minutes, one of the baristas asked me if i was waiting for something. Obviously I was and explained the situation to him. He investigated and realized my order had been inadvertently overlooked. He, and another barista, were extremely apologetic and immediately upgraded me to a large size(I originally ordered a medium) for my inconvenience. As far as I’m concerned, the matter was solved appropriately. Some people might bitch about this being horrible service, but, hey, no one is perfect. Stuff happens. They gave an explanation about the orders being accidentally reset. They apologized, provided compensation and we all moved on with our lives. Well done.

Great location. Love the vibe and feel of the layout. Can’t wait to come here with a good book(and then spend the entire time on my iPhone scrolling my Facebook news feed, who am I kidding?). Still, great little spot with plenty of parking.

Cool spot, especially to stop by while doing some shopping. Venue is definitely one of the smaller locations but they do have outdoor seating that comes in handy when it’s a nice day out. Parking can be a drag when everyone’s out shopping at the mall, otherwise the cashiers are friendly enough and the baristas churn out drinks at a relatively good pace. Also, free Wi-Fi, sweet.
