I have to agree without negative comments… Brazilian blow out was completely gone after 3 washes. Despite using all right sulfate free products. Yumi was very nice but did her job very quick(aprox in 40 mins). Versus other places that will spend around 2 – 3 hrs on a treatment. Do not recommend .:(

I got my lashes done and loved them! i decided to maintain them and again they looked good. I had several questions after to ask since people told me they damaged lashes and she did reply back but on my last e-mail she told me not to ask her anymore questions and i told her why that’s rude to say and she said too many people ask questions and its hard to keep responding so i told her if i cant ask questions anymore i wont be coming back. her name that did my lashes was Yumi Youn. I don’t get all the bad reviews here. I’ve been going here for years… back to when the place started at Monique’s on Bouquet Canyon. I’ve had nothing but great experiences and the services are great. Flexible-same day appointments are also a plus here, which works great with my work schedule :-)

I purchased a groupon for a Brazilian blowout last week. I called to make an appt and I ended up sending a text to schedule it. Not typical, but more efficient. I received a text back asking for my availability. Since I work during the week, I booked the appt after work. Yumi was very accommodating. I arrived promptly and I was instantly greeted. The location is in an industrial center. Not an issue for me. This was going to be my third blowout. All of them done by different places. My first lasted maybe two months. The second one did not last that long. Maybe a month. So I decided to give it one last shot. The procedure took about 90 minutes. I had a very pleasant conversation with Yumi. I found her to be very sweet and accommodating to her clients. My appt was at 5pm and she had another appt scheduled for 8pm at her other location in Beverly Hills. She says that she schedules appts as early as 6am for her regular clients. How often do you hear that? My friend loved my hair so much, she made an appt with Yumi. She was able to work around her schedule too. My friend’s hair is very coarse and kinky curly and she texted me pics afterwards. It looked great! She had similar experiences with it not lasting the last time she did it If the blowout lasts a reasonable amount of time, I would definitely do it again with Yumi. Don’t hesitate, know what to expect and enjoy a bargain. Thanks Yumi for the great service!

I received a Brazilian blowout and it lasted maybe two weeks. By the time I washed my hair, I could tell that something wasn’t right. My guess is they are skimping or cutting the product or using something else because it certainly isn’t the Brazilian blowout that I have received at other places. Spend the extra money and go somewhere else. Evolve in Newhall is amazing.

I have had an exhausting amount of stress over the past few months and really needed to get the tension out of my body. My massage therapist was NANA. It was the most relaxing and thorough massage I have ever had. She was very sweet and made me feel so comfortable. I am looking forward to returning many times in the future.

Recently purchased a promotional special from Spa Shizen(two hour facial/massage combo)…I made my appointment a week prior directly with the owner… I then took the afternoon off from work so I could enjoy my two-hour session prior to the holiday… when I got tied up myself that afternoon myself… I attempted to call the owner on both her telephone numbers… but got no answer on either number and no one returned my call… so I made sure I got there on time so as not to inconvenience the spa by any delay on my part… I arrived promptly at my 2 pm appointment time… only to be greeted by the spa owner with the words, «I have bad news»…and proceeds to inform me I can only have«half of my session and will have to reschedule the other half» .and adds that she cannot even start the half session for at least 30 minutes. She explains the delay was due to traffic«that morning» which got everything off… That morning? Of course, by that time I am totally frustrated that no one called me ahead of time to let me know about the delay and the fact that she was canceling half my session. The owner then leaves the room telling me she will«see what she can do»…leaving me sitting in the outer waiting area overhearing her conversation with another staff person that she is going to «just give me a refund.» She returns to the lobby; hands me the refund in cash, dismissively tells me that it would not be relaxing at that point anyway. Wow… completely disappointing and quite frankly, surprising. What would have appreciated would have been a phone call when she realized she was so delayed and would be canceling part of my session… the refund was nice but that did not give me back the time I took off from work… did not give me back what should have been a wonderful relaxing couple of hours. Needless to say, this spa will not be on my future Christmas list… and not on my lists of recommendations… too bad…
