I had a huge knot on my back that was causing me excruciating pain. I saw my Chiro earlier today and he readjusted me and popped me back into pain. It didn’t really alleviate the pain at all though. My 1 ½ year old won’t let me put him down these days and only wants momma. We were at the mall and my husband convinced me to try so relax. I was skeptical but 7 min into my 15 min chair massage I started feeling the pain go away! The pain was immobilizing me all day so it was so obvious he knew exactly where to go and what to do. Was he a bit rough? Yeah he was. Did he perform what I believe short of a miracle in 15 min? He sure did and it was worth every single penny.

I got the 30 minute chair massage and it was a cross between a Thai massage and a Swedish massage. The massage was good but they did not ever ask if there was an area that they should focus on or even if the pressure was OK. At least twice I had to ask to ease up on the pressure. Then 20 minutes into the massage they point out a tight knot and that an additional 10 minutes would be a good idea to do for $ 10 more. I decline because I still had 10 minutes left on the massage and the area he was working on was not one of my problem areas. When we were paying there was a problem with the transaction not going through so we ran it through again. But the first charge is still showing as pending on our account. If you call the store — the call goes to a data or fax line. No person ever picked up. Seriously folks be professional and get a voice line. All that to say that the massage was good and I felt great but there are some customer service improvements to make this a better experience.

The man offered me a ‘free sample’, but he only massaged me for half a minute before asking for me to pay for a full massage. I was in need of one, so I did, even though it felt a bit scummy. I regretted it later. He was incredibly rough. He really hurt me. There was not a single part of the massage that didn’t hurt. I came away feeling bruised and aching for days. He also kept trying to get me to go for ten more minutes of this torture. Maybe some of the people here are good at what they do, but this fellow definitely was not.

As A Sign Language Interpreter, I work 7 hours every day interpreting in the V.R.S. setting. I decided to stop by So Relax on my way home last nite and see if they could relieve the knots and pain I was feeling. *Kevin, was friendly and had just the right amount of pressure to relieve my discomfort! Although he doesn’t speak English, he has great professional demeanor and we communicated just fine! I am working today, free of pain and thankful to have tried this quaint little spot in the Westfield Valencia Mall! Thank you Kevin! I will definitely use him again~! A.S.L. Interpreter

If you have not gotten a massage before, it will most likely hurt since they focus on pressure points. You will also be sore the next day. This is a small price to pay for relief in the long run. I come in whenever I tweak my neck or back and they fix me right up.

I agree with the«wish I could leave negative stars» comment. I should have read that first! The worst massage I have EVERHAD!!! The guy didn’t speak English so I couldn’t explain how to do a massage to him. I finally just told him to stop. I paid him then he asked for a tip!!! He obviously had had NO training in massage ATALL!

I have frequenting the second floor kiosk for the past 9 years and have never had a bad experience. The staff always does a great job. So if you are ever at the mall and have a few minutes for a massage do so, they are great here. It sure beats spending $ 80.00 at a massage parlor.

I wish I could give a minus star to this horrible so called relax massage parlor it was absolutely terrible after repeated attempts in body language to indicate pain from his un-relaxing attempts to massage me I was certain the«ouches» would for sure get him the message however when that didn’t work I told him vocally only to continue to be roughly prodded continuously as I prayed it would soon be over had it not been a gift from my fiancé who was present at the time I would of stopped it and left however I let the assult continue now I type this review one day later with a very brushed neck and shoulder so bad I’m out of work for the next two days at least. Don’t make the mistake for a quick massage… go to the ivy day spa instead…

I was looking for a quick massage while shopping but the shop was busy so I did the kiosk on the top floor. Same prices but should have been less because it’s noisy. Massage was great, no problem there but i bought a 30 minute massage and apparently whr I thought he said«2 more minutes» he said«10 more minutes?» So they tries to add that in during and charge more. That really annoyed me and will not be going back. It wasn’t that cheap to begin with. $ 38 for 30 minutes and tried to charge $ 48 with the 10 extra minutes. I will Be going to the foot places only or a real salon.

This place is really good and inexpensive. I was skeptical at first but it was worth it. I felt so good after going to this place. Definitely recommended.

This place has many other massage places beat. It’s well air conditioned and a quiet place to get away from the mall. Best part is the table massage. They take time in a 30 minute massage to get every part of my body even the temples on my head. I was worried the massage would be too rough but it was perfect. They even offer you water. Will always come back when I need to relax!

This place is pretty amazing! Staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is the nicest I’ve seen for a massage place in which you’re massaged around others. Masseuse was very aware of the needs of my body. I feel so relaxed and rejuvenated!

I was finally dragged into the mall this holiday season by my youngest daughter who felt that she did so good at her dance performance that we «had to» go to Build-A-Bear. After that ordeal, and picking up cupcakes, was stretching my stiff neck on the escalator when I noticed«So Relax» at the bottom. There were a few others being massaged when I walked in but was taken immediately for my 15 minutes chair massage($ 18 + tip). They were professional, worked out my knot, and achieved exactly what I was hoping for in that 15 minutes. Longer services are offered, including table and foot massages, but don’t know if I’d dedicate a whole hour trying to relax across from a carousel and Red Robin. For a quick fix, I’ll definitely stop back in!
