Really enjoyed this place for what it is. We got takeout and brought it there to eat(which they welcomed) and had a great, reasonably priced night of great beer. My only complaint was the very loud live music. I get that a lot of people like it, but I like to hear my friend talk. We went on a weekend, so I would imagine that weekdays are quieter. BEERNERDSTUFF: The Hoppy Red was outstanding. Reminded me a great deal of Modern Times Blazing World, my all time favorite. Chocolate Stout and IIPA were also supurb. Didn’t care for the honey pale(surprising lack of citrusy hops) or the bitter(just kind of bland).

finally went here! so fun and nice to have a true brewery in the neighborhood. they have board games and frequent food truck events, plus staff are just so super nice. they really care about the clients and the beer and you can really tell. going to be coming by very often!!! beer review: I liked the chocolate stout on nitro vs CO2, it’s interesting bc you can tell the difference. I like the variety vs some younger and similarly sized breweries night just have 1 – 2 brews and usually pale ales. great variety and actually decent pricing too! I want to go back and try the nuptials and some more dark brews. the bitter ol grandpa is surprising and I highly suggest it. my guys liked the old road a lot. the info cards are cute, fun and really add to the beer tasting experience! :)

I first reviewed Pocock two months ago, October 2015. At the time time they hadn’t even had a full opening yet and they were working out the kinks. See my previous review. I decided now that they have had their official opening and I’ve visited enough times I can give a more thorough review. That being said… Thank the Maker there is finally a decent place to grab a beer in SCV thay isn’t a chain resturant with crap beer or a bro bar where it’s more about getting drunk then enjoying the drinks. The atmosphere at Pocock is very welcoming and friendly, the Brewers are all SUPER nice and love talking about everything including the beer and the whole process. It’s come to my attention that I’m there at least once a week for the last month. They added board games, they have a tv for sports(but not 30 so you can’t still have a discussion, plenty of seating, a great selection of food trucks on Saturdays. And coloring! Look for my Los Angeles Kings coaster, you’re welcome. The other thing that I can really appreciate is they take the time to get to know their regulars, from saving you a seat at the bar to knowing which beer you order. Todd and Sara really are great. Typically I make a pro and con list when I review but honestly there are no cons that I can think of short of they aren’t open every day! That’s just wishful thinking though, makes my Saturday that much better.

Finally the Awesome in Awesometown. Two weeks after their grand opening, and a few months after their soft opening, had the opportunity to sneak over on a Sunday afternoon. We happened to arrive just after 12 and were greeted immediately. Let them know this was our first visit and they walked us through not only the beers available but the Pocock operation as well. Did a flight of their lighter beers(mango ale and First 13) with the Mrs and was very impressed. Sara asked about the types of beers we liked and helped guide us from there. That led to the discussion that Pocock is her maiden name and the brewing is a collaboration with her husband and brother-in-law. As we talked further, Sara would reach over to the taps for«small pours» that she wanted us to try. They were out of growlers so settled on a crowler of Bitter Grandpa which thanks to one of those«sneaks from the tap» we got to appreciate. Food trucks on Friday’s and Saturday’s but feel free to bring your own food. They can even make suggestions of places that deliver. Local residents bringing something worth visiting in SCV? Count me in as a regular.

Nice beer, but limited selection was available on tap. This place has many great sounding beers on their website, but when we went there last night they only had 5 available. They say they will have the rest for their opening on Dec. 12th. Disappointed they did not have the mango, imperial stout, scotch ale or chocolate stout available. The brown ale was okay. Red had little flavor. The bitter was good. Pale ale and double IPA were okay. No food. Good atmosphere. I hope this place does well and works to have more beer varieties available, or at least update the website so it is not misleading as to what is on tap. $ 2 for 4oz. tasters and $ 6 pint.

Everyone has already spoken on the beer. It’s good like really good so you cannot go wrong. But there are a lot of intangibles that make this place great. It just has a cool vibe whether it’s super crowded or not. Just a welcoming energy. The food trucks addition is huge. Can’t wait to see where Pocock Brewing goes! Nuptials Ale is awesome IMO. Cheers!

Lovely new brewery in Santa Clarita! I might just have to move here just so I can stop in for a beer and a chat :) I tried the mango ale which was amazing and very refreshing! They use actual mango purée which I think is what makes it stand out from other fruit beers I tried– very well balanced! I also tried the old road brown and bitter grandpa and loved them both! Got a Crowley of the old brown to enjoy at home and got another of their IPA for the bf :) hopefully they will have the mango ale available for the crawlers soon cause I’ll take it all! Definitely recommend stopping by!

So glad to have another brewery in the SCV! This place is off to a great start with a variety of brews. Everything from a light mango ale all the way to a very complex stout. Really enjoyed Grandpas Bitter tonight. Nice change from everything west coast IPA.

Just visited for the first time. Excellent beers. They are still putting in the finishing touches on the place. I tried every beer except the nitro brown. Mango ale was delicious. Something new and fun. Dangerous at 7%. Old Road Brown is even better. Nice to have the malt flavor come through without tasting too dark. Witch Doctor Stout: wow, I will get back to this later. No…now. Here is what you do. Take the significant other to dinner, no appetizer, just main. Order dessert to go. Drive to Pocock, order a Stout and eat your dessert with it. It’s 9.2% so share a glass. Original 13 pale ale is Honey all over your tongue. This will be my go to for a pint. Letter of Marque IPA. big and hoppy. Been there. Good beer yes, but not Pocock’s strength. Grandpa’s IPA: session beer. 4%ish. Hoppy Red: Interesting beer. Reminds me of a Danish Red. I liked it, but I am going to have to try it again. I did not get to the Old road Brown on Nitro, but I bet it’s delicious. I had to drive home. They have Growlers and Crowlers.(32oz Cans to go) As of this post only Crowlers of the Grandpa and the Hoppy Red were available. They need to build up supply. Understandable. I know that they need no suggestions now, but I would love a spicy habanero Witchdoctor! Welcome to Valencia Pocock Brewing!
