Lil Kickers SCV

My son has played soccer with Lil Kickers on and off since he was barely 2 years-​old. The parent and me classes, and independent classes up to age 4 were all wonderful! The coaches are all friendly, very hands on, and did a great job encouraging the little ones to participate. The activities the children play were all developmentally appropriate and built basic soccer skills.
Unfortunately, our last experience here was not very good. Now that my son has turned 4, he was playing with children that were almost 6. In this older group, there were fewer skill building activities, and a lot of waiting around for a turn since there was only one coach with 12 children. There were also a lot of scrimmages, which wasn’t great because there were 12 children on the field with only one ball. Four year-​olds are just not able to stay focused in this kind of situation.
Overall, the staff at Lil Kickers is great and we were very happy with the younger classes. The program would be much better if the groups were smaller, and the coaches were more aware of engaging all children in the older groups.
