PLEASEDON’T GOSEETHISRHEUMATOLOGIST —– HEALMOSTKILLEDME! I was taking a medication that he knew about and he wrote another one that said right on the paperwork NOTTOUSE if you’re taking this other one. Serious complications. He likes to over prescribe. I wonder if he gets a kick back? I’m thinking he does. I was on about 5 different prescriptions. Now I’m on only one with my new doctor. Please go to someone else! Don’t take a chance!!!

Since RA made its introduction to me in 1998 it’s been a roller coaster ride of PAIN, various MEDICATIONS, and 5 Rheumatologists. The 6th Rheumatologist was/is the charm!!! I’m not a spiritual guy, but Dr Yoon Min is a «Godsend»… After patiently getting to know him, and understand his style of practicing medicine I came to really KNOW that he’s businesslike, very smart, compassionate, and trustworthy! For me, the best quality I’ve found in Dr Min is that in treating this sometimes wickedly painful disease called RA, he’s never reluctant to get agressive in his quest to help me get better, and out of the many Docs I’ve had in my almost 70 years on the planet I’ve not trusted any one of them more than I do Dr. Min! The Office & Nursing Staff, led by a lady named Sonny are the ones that make Freedom Arthritis go! Carlos, Alma, and Virginia are knowledgable, friendly, and very thorough people who deserve lots of credit for making Freedom Arthritis a first class center for the treatment of auto-immune diseases, and I couldn’t post this without giving a shoutout to Myah and Chelsea! All of the above mentioned people have always gone the extra mile in my behalf, and I’m grateful…

I wish there was an option to give zero stars for my experience with Dr. Min. My mom has been seeing Dr. Min for over five years. He is familiar with her and her status, both physical and mental. The office manager and Dr. Min are aware that we have a POA for my mom due to her Dementia/Alzheimers. Every visit Dr. Min acts as though he is unfamiliar with her case and mental condition, the POA on file with their office, and her mental alertness and dementia. This is becoming tiring, annoying, and disheartening. Every time we go, we have to re-introduce ourselves and re-tell him about mom’s conditions, when he sees us on a regular basis every six to eight weeks. He acts aloof and uncaring, and we have to remind him to talk to us about mom, because we are her caretakers and make the medical and legal decisions for her. Mom has been diagnosed with RA and she is in pain, and has trouble sitting in one position for long periods of time. Every visit for the last five years, we wait, with the total time at the doctor being 2.5−3 hours, and 15 minutes of that is spent with the doctor. Let me make this point clear; Mom is not there for new treatments, different conditions, worsening symptoms, etc. Her appointments are follow-up maintenance visits for refills of medications. I have made our concerns known to the office manager, who suggested making the first appointment of the day or the first appointment after lunch in order to alleviate the long wait times. On our most recent visit, scheduled at 2pm, I commented to them that the office seemed empty with no patients. The office manager replied that yes, the first appointment after lunch cancelled(the 1pm appointment). I thought that we may then get in on time for the 2:00pm appointment! We were not called back for the appointment until 2:40pm, to my dismay. This visit was the last straw– when he was doing the routine questioning for mom of her symptoms, I reminded him(after five years), that he would have to talk with me because she has dementia and we are her caretakers. He rudely responded back in a condescending tone, «I am speaking to HER». That was it; the three hour waits, his lack of caring, etc. means we are done. We have found a new doctor for mom and want nothing more to do with Dr. Min. The empty waiting rooms will speak for themselves.

Dr. Min is a great doctor however his front office staff and Office Manager is horrible. I had rescheduled an appointment and I drove an hour to arrive at my scheduled time only to find out that the person I spoke with never put my appointment in the schedule. It took the office half an hour to even realize I didn’t have an appointment and then the Office Manager came over to me to say they are all booked and couldn’t take me today. Then she said well you could wait to see if someone doesn’t show up or reschedules and then they could possibly fit me in their schedule at the end of the day or I could just come back tomorrow. There was no way I was going to wait around for hours to see if they could possibly fit me in and I could not and at this point would not reschedule my appointment. This was a complete waste of my time, gas and money. While I was there one of the office staff was also rude to another patient making sure she was well aware that she was early for her appointment and that she would have to wait repeating himself several times. I would think they would want people to be early especially because they have a policy about people who are late. It’s unfortunate for such a good Doctor to have such an incompetent and rude office staff and Office Manager who don’t even apologize when they are in the wrong and don’t try to accommodate even a little to make the patient feel like they matter.
