Thursday at 2:30pm. Walked in. Two ladies talking behind counter, one who looked like friend visiting friend working looked at me as I was interrupting something… I smiled, a cold stare back I received. We ordered ½ dozen and another claw. Donuts were limited and they didn’t have my favorites that u see at other donut places. Some of our donuts were bitter tasting. Didn’t hit the spot. Won’t return.

Went for some pan dulce and was seriously disappointed by their selection. Additionally, the first time I went I had their conchas which seemed to lack sugar(the top sugary part was not sweet). Last week I thought I’d give it a second chance and was disappointed again :(I was looking forward to liking it. The quality and moistness of the conchas were ok at best. I’ve had better at Vallarta. I’ll stick to the ones at Vallarta.

I don’t know if I would consider this place a bakery. There are no cakes on display ready for purchase. Only donuts. The donuts tasted fine to me but my husband got sick after eating one. And I think I saw gnats around the fruit they in the front.

From the time I walked in to the time I left(which took about 3 minutes) i felt extremely rushed and unwanted. The lady helping me had something of an attitude and seemed like she didn’t want my business which I don’t understand seeing as how I walked in cheerful saying Hi to everyone. I haven’t even tasted the donuts yet but I will never come back here again. I wouldn’t eat a free lobster if the person who served it to me was staring me down the whole time and not listening to what I had to say. VERY disappointed. I gave this place 2 stars because at least they were stocked up on donuts and i’m hungry.

Good food, good coffee. There are lots of donuts and lunch type Mexican food. My chocolate bar was delicious.

This place is not 24⁄7 at all. I’m sitting outside at 5pm on a Friday… not one person in sight.

Called three times in a week, not a single person answering the phone could take my order. I don’t know how to politically correctly say this, but PLEASE have someone manning the phones that can take a custom cake order in English. I’m sure the food here is amazing — but I’ll never know it? Your customers deserve better service than this. I gave 2 stars because everyone I spoke to was REALLY nice, but still, come on folks.

Best donuts in town! All the donuts taste great and feel light. Other places overdue it with the grease, and make you feel guilty and heavy after. The donuts hear are delicious and soft.

I don’t come here for the sweet baked goods. Donuts are meh. But it’s their Mexican goods I like. I come here for the Tamales + Horchata cuz it’s open 24⁄7. Nuff said.

I always go here in the middle of the night! It’s the only place that’s open around the area! The ham and cheese croissants are awesome! And also the little rectangular donuts best midnight snack!

I heard good things about the tamales Herr so I decided to get a couple. I got 2 pork and 2 chicken tamales. I get home, unravel the tamale and take a bite… all maza. I take another bite thinking I should be close to the meaty portion but once again, all maza. I cut the tamale in half to see what was going on and there was barely any meat inside! What a waste of $ 1.85 per tamale. I also ordered 2 donuts and a scone which where pretty good, so I might just come back for the donuts.

Schoolteacher and I stopped here for a quick breakfast. This is another one of those places I’ve passed thousands of time, always been curious about, but never actually stopped in at. I had the chance recently. The parking lot in front of the place was empty at eight thirty. I parked and we entered. We were greeted and I looked into the case between us and the employees. A plethora of pastries looked up at me. Each and every one tempting and visually appealing. Girl behind the counter informed me that they’ve got a tamale special, three for five dollars. I nodded and she then told me of the three tamale options they had. There was also a case of wedding cakes. I suppose they make those as well here. Interesting. I looked up at the menu board, and it was varied and assorted. You can get many things here folks. I started my order with two large coffees. Scratch one, large Iced Mocha instead, three tamales for five dollars… one of each. Then I noticed some cute donuts… to help round out the Unilocal photo… and an apple fritter. I handed her my card, and got my food. We sat at one of several empty tables, where we chatted about our lives, our days together, and shared a breakfast of tamales, donuts and coffee. All the while, the television behind us infomercialed us on new and exciting ways to shed unwanted pounds quickly. It was nice. It’s certainly a nice and cute lil place. In my assorted donut adventures, I have had better donuts. But these donuts were definitely pretty good on the donut scale. The tamales were moist and warm and tasty. I began to sweat a bit as their jalepenos turned up the heat. The varied menu was good, and I’ll be back to try other things on it.

Freshest donuts in Santa Clarita. Every once in a while, we crave coffee and donuts and dropped in a few days after a friend bought donuts to our house. We loved it. The kids really like the treats and we like the fact that they make the donuts fresh. They were bring out sheets and sheets of them as we were making our selection. Forget about bagels and cream cheese for that next meeting at the office, spoil your employees with donuts!

Went there based on the Unilocal reviews. It was actually in the wrong category because it was listed as a «good place to take a date for dessert.» Well, it’s basically a donut shop, and it’s lit with bright white fluorescent lights, so forget about the romance factor. Also, there’s no bathroom, so be aware of that. OK, now the good part. I unexpectedly found the best tamales I’ve ever had in California. No kidding, You must give them a try. They have different fillings, I had the chicken filled tamale. Absolutely delightful! They even have a deal where you get 3 tamales and a soda for $ 5. Go for it! I was there at about 10:30pm on a Friday night. The fresh donuts just kept coming out. It was a good time to be there. I sampled one and it was delicious. See my pics of them. They also make other things there, as they are a bakery. They make wedding cakes for example. There’s fresh fruit in the display case, so I think they make juices as well. The guys who were working there that night spoke almost no English, so if you ask them for anything extra, they probably won’t understand you. For example, I asked for«salt» and they gave me hot sauce. Never got the salt. I guess I didn’t need it anyway. I still can’t get over how good that tamale’ was! What a great find! It’s a little loud in there. The floor is tile and it’s small. They have seating. I’d say it would seat about a dozen people comfortably, maybe a few more. Go there… but not if you are looking for a «romantic place to have dessert» unless your date really likes donuts and tamales!

Stopped in around 11pm on Wednesday night and walked in on trays of freshly made donuts, HELLOOOOO. My taste buds were doing little jumping jacks of joy. I silently reasoned with my inner fat girl and picked only out 4 donuts: 1 chocolate bar, 1 maple bar, 1 chocolate. Came out to a pretty penny for donuts, $ 8ish, good thing BF was paying. Cherry on top was the bag that my coveted fried goodies were placed in read: «You deserve a donut». Well, damn. I think so too. Never have I felt so justified purchasing of something so bad for me. Unveiling the goodies at home, I bit into the maple bar — good. It hit the sugary spot my tooth was craving. Next up, chocolate bar… hmm. Something was amiss. I cautiously took another bite… yup, still weird. I left it plated for the BF and ate the remainder of my half of the maple. 5 mins later we’re cozied up on the couch ready for a mini-Netflix marathon and BF begins to eat the donuts. Maple bite, check. Chocolate bite… check. Weird reaction? Check! Thank god, it just wasn’t me! Now I know some of you might be thinking what a rotten person I was for not forewarning him, but guys, I didn’t want to sway his honest opinion, I desperately needed HIS truth, and I got it. We both agreed there was some weird chemicially-taste to the chocolate donut. Not that donuts are organic or anything, but there was something definitely amiss. Sadly we threw the unwanted chocolate bar away. In the morning, we shared the round maple but had to toss the round chocolate in the trash alongside it’s bro — same damn weird taste. Anyway, I would come here again but avoid anything chocolate-y. I do prefer Fosters donuts though, which is not too far from this place, however, I did find customer service here to be much more warm and friendly and they accept credit card.

Being greeted with smiles and warm welcomes at any business is always great, but being greeted with smiles and warm welcomes at 3AM while you’re drunk is amazing! If you’re craving donuts at any time of the day while you’re in Santa Clarita, California Bakery and Café is the place to go. Fresh donuts are being baked at all hours, and the employees are always cheerful. After several visits solely for donuts, I decided to venture over to check out their tamales. Holy moly, I would choose these tamales over La Cocina and Azul Tequila any day. They’re always piping hot and have a variety of proteins(beef, pork, & chicken). Rarely does a week go by where I don’t stop in for one of these bad boys. Five stars for this awesome Bakery and Café!
