Shell Gas & Service Station

I wasnt familiar with the area so when i see there’s a newrby gas station i just stop and ready to fill my gas. But my goodness the price is $ 1 higher than average. Its $ 3.99 /​galon. This is such a rip off. Stay away from this place is possible.

Price gouging!!! Is this place even legal? Charges $ 3.79 when every other station is about $ 2.20… that’s $ 1.60 MORE per gallon or 70% more!
Everybody should file a complaint here:

Stay clear. Way overpriced. $ 3.99/gallon while Rotten Robbie (just down the street) is $ 2.50.

I did not have any option available nearby to fill my tank. I agree with most of the reviews, the price was double I normally pay for my weekly filling. I am wondering why. This gas station has nothing peculiar. I should have checked first, but was in a hurry. Avoid if you don’t want to spend much more than usual.

The gas is astronomical. $ 4.59 when Rotten Robbie a block away is $ 3.35? I’m reporting this to consumer affairs dept. Someone needs to be aware of this blatant price gouging.

Ridiculously priced gas for sale. I refueled 2 gallons of regular 87 gas at $ 4.499 per gallon on June 29. The current gas price at Costco is $ 3.089. That’s almost 150% of what Costco charges. One will probably expect shell or chevron to change around $ 3.50 or even at most $ 3.70 per gallon for regular gas. Yet this unscrupulous station is out to make an extraordinary amount of profit out of the ordinary driver. Do not go there. Go to other top tier providers like Costco or other cheaper shell locations.
Service wise — the cashier was sleeping when I walked in.

Don’t go to this shell gas station. It’s the most expensive gas price in the Bay Area. The owner is too greedy. Please go somewhere for gas.

BEWARE, BEWARE of this station!!! They match the area gas prices if you are looking at the cents, but you have to look at the dollar. They are running a buck MORE than everyone else.
Yeah, they will fool you once and you may get ripped off unless you stop your pump before you fill your tank. But you will never go back again.

It’s the most expensive gas station in the whole area… The pumps are really old. I don’t know why it’s so expensive here. I thought we’re at war…

Service station is dishonest!!! Specialy if your a woman. Don’t believe when they tell you if you fail the smog check come back and it’s free.

Higher gas price compared to other shell in the area. Over 25 cents difference.

WOW!!! The LGB auto body repair shop is amazing! Yes, the shell gas station can through you off, but the body shop is great service and prices. I go there a lot to fix up my 99′ Honda Civic. I love their oil change special for $ 19.99. They can fix mostly anything. The guys there are fantastic! They even found a matching new hood for my car after an accident. Every accident I have ever had with my car I go striaght to them.
If anyone is tired of those name brand auto shops to fix your car, the crappy prices, and waiting hours; then this place is where to go. Look for Larry when you get there!

I’ve lived in Santa Clara my entire life. This Shell station has been here since I can remember!
Sadly that’s the only good thing I can say about this place.
It’s a shame when you look up at the prices and see this place charges 15 – 20 cents more than the three to four other gas stations within a 5 mile radius. On top of that, with the prices they are charging, you would think that this place would be in a little better shape. Also, the pumps look all worn down and old, the cashier area looks run down, and it’s very rare that I even see customers pull in for gas (new in town, or desperate and don’t know any better if you ask me)
I will say this, the 7 – 11 right next door is making a killing off these guys… anybody brave/​dumb enough to fill up their tank is going to have to go next door and buy up all the beer in the store to make the pain of getting hosed on gas go away.
I’ve never used their service station, so my review does not reflect that part of this place.

I only come here because home and work are close by. Purely convenience because the prices suck! It can be much more expensive than my old favorite, the Shell at the corner of Lawrence and Monroe :(.

Why is it that this shell gas station is THE most expensive? I’ve been to the Great America Expwy and Oakmead Shell, these two are the least expensive to get gas. I would rather drive two lights down the street and go to Rotten Robbie.

Gotta agree with Steve N, this place is way expensive. Even if you’re running on fumes limp over to the one on Augustine and Bowers and it’s worlds cheaper…
