This place is good. Fair price. The guy who cut my hair was tatted up white guy with an accent. He seemed a bit weird but nice and gave me a great hair cut. It’s hard to find a good barber and I will be coming back here.

I had been growing my beard out for a month due to haveing my beard jacked up by a pervious barber. I came in hoping i would get what i want but, i walked out with a even more messed up beard. Not only do neither side of my beard look the same, i had to come home and fix it myself. Dont know his name but he was the older man, he didnt charge me. Wouldnt recommend this place if your getting your beard done.

Amazing barbershop — probably the best one I’ve been to. One of the few times after getting a haircut that I don’t have to go home and fix anything myself. The interior décor is rustic and charming. I am defintely coming back!

Been coming here for three years. Nice quiet old school shop in old Santa Clara downtown. No appointments, just walk in. Be sure to ask for Tina, sweetest person ever and best cut I’ve ever received. Gets it right every time. Price is right on as well but be sure to tip her. She earns it.

Sam & Roy’s Barbershop gets it done right, and the prices can’t be beat for the quality. $ 14 gets you a professional haircut at an affordable price. It’s great to be able to visit and support a local barbershop versus commercial SuperCuts. Will be back for my 3rd haircut in a few weeks, for sure.

I love this place. When you compare the quality and professionalism of this barbershop to a super cuts or a sport clips, this place always wins. I always feel like a million bucks when I leave. And it’s not as expensive as the barbershop at San Pedro Square.

Danny is the man! I’ve been going since my friend told me about this place. Danny has been my barber ever since. His attention to detail is none like any other!

We walked in on Saturday afternoon because David really needed a haircut. We’re new to San Jose and weren’t sure where to go. I looked in Unilocal!to find the closest barber and came up with Sam & Roy’s. Danny cut David’s hair and he did a really great job. He also trimmed his eyebrows and around his beard as part of his service. We will definitely go back for the next hair cut. We were very pleased!

Well the third time is not, not a charm. I must have the unlucky luck to pick Vietam Barbers. 1st it was the CEDAR TREE BARBER SHOP, not good! 2nd time it was THE CLASSIC HOMESTEAD BARBERS, Larry only knows how to shear sheep. & 3d. Sam & Roy’s University Barbers, Roy has been in the America for five years, but he must have learn to cut hair at the same curb side school as the other two. I searched Unilocal with the hope of finding an OLD FASHION BARBER, who could thin hair, do razor cuts and bevel the top and sides with out looking like I had a SOUP BOWL TRIM. My only hope now is to find a barber that’s under a 100 years that is still barbering.

Fantastic shop for the fantastic man.
Small, quaint, and super neighborhood-​y, this has become my favorite barber shop in South Bay for 1) good prices 2) friendly services and 3) that hot lather shave with a blade!
Best to go on weekdays at odd hours or on weekends when they got every chair manned.
And as always, tip your barber!

I brought my 2 year old son here today and I’m so impressed with their patience and quality of cut. My son was super scared, it being his first haircut but I did sit with him and the nice lady cut around me and did the most perfect job. I regretfully didn’t get her name but all employees there were super nice and helpful. I will definitely be coming back for more haircuts :)

I wish to update the review after having come to this place 3 times now. The first one was really well done albeit with a temporary barber, who no longer works there. My second one was a Ukrainian female barber, who did a decent but not as good job as the first. My third time was really a disaster. The Vietnamese male barber basically ruined my hairstyle. I would caution people to choose particular barber coming to this place. I will certainly do so from now on.

Accompanied my boyfriend to get his $ 14 cut. Tina cuts very evenly, creates beautiful clean lines around the edges of the neck and ears, and follows the curve of a person’s head really well.
My boyfriend’s really used to having patchy buzz cuts, so at first he was unused to having such a symmetric and even cut! He really started favoring the cut after getting so many compliments on it from co-​workers though.
Tina was really helpful and kind. She spent the time to fix my boyfriend’s haircut when he wanted it even shorter than she originally cut and gave us a tip that to get a close-​but-​not-​buzz-​cut cut, we should specify «shorter than three-​quarters».
