New Balance

From the family gene pool, I somehow failed to inherit the shoe-​shopping gene. Getting new walking shoes was on my to-​do list, but postponed repeatedly (I DID inherit the procrastination gene) until aching ankles and knees left me no choice but to shop. I did some research online and found that New Balance had walking shoes recommended for zaftig women who pronate and have knee and back problems. Happily, I found a New Balance store a 15 minute drive from home. I was greeted by Mark, who measured my feet and also did a scan to see where I put most of my weight. Mark brought out different sizes of the shoes I selected. He was polite and helpful, never pushy, and I did not feel that I was rushed. The shoes fit extremely well, and with the addition of a pair of innersoles that he recommended based on how I distribute my weight, I could feel myself standing differently. I tried on a pair of flip-​flops with good arch support, and bought them as well. Great service + great shoes = very happy me. If you are looking for walking/​running/​athletic shoes and wonderful service, I highly recommend this store. If you hate to shop for shoes like me, I especially recommend this store.

I“m new to New Balance shoes so I came to this store to learn more. Rayne the customer sales helped me out to understand the product and my needs. She was super helpful and nice.

I needed several new shoes. I had been to Nordstrom, The Footlocker, as well as other stores. I did not purchase any shoes at there stores. The shoes did not seem to fit correctly and the sales staff did not make an effort to be helpful. Then a Physical Therapist suggested New Balance. I’m glad she did.
The service was so refreshing. The salesperson genuinely wanted to be helpful. I left with three pairs of shoes. Ask for Rayne! Rayne is knowledgeable and refreshingly polite.

I have been a new balance fan for many years.
Today Albert helped me out finding the right shoes for my needs. He even remembered what shoes I liked when I went to browse the shoes in their other branch about 3 months back. He helped me pick out the right inserts and even remembered the exact ones which fitted me back then.
I came home and found out the card he gave me 3 months ago and it has the part number of the shoes, size and the shoe insert’s part number which I bought today.
What an amazing experience that was! Thanks Albert for all your help and kudos to your awesome memory :)

I have been a customer of New Balance shoes for over 20 years which I purchase from Foot Locker, Sports Authority, & such the like.
The New Balance stores are another story.
I read a number of Unilocal reviews that caught my attention at this store but there was a possibility of getting yet again another poor New Balance shoe store experience so I called in advance and asked for the manager. I figured since this place was a hit and miss (a step up from the other two New Balance stores that were consistent misses) I wanted to increase my odds of a positive experience as well as successfully purchasing a new pair of shoes that were perfect for me.
Enter Andy:
Andy is knowledgable, Andy is patient, Andy is understanding, Andy is professional, Andy is the reason that I finally purchased the perfect pair of shoes.

Clean store, good selection, great customer service. I have been looking for a specific pair of NB shoes and haven’t been able to find them until I drove by this place and stopped in. Andy helped me out, let me try out some options, and ultimately I was able to get a great pair of shoes. Great place.

I went in tonight to buy a pair of running shoes with my husband and Matt helped us. I was very hesitant going in, because, admittedly I’m a novice runner. However, Matt was amazing. He took the time to measure my feet, explain all of the options, was SO TOTALLY knowledgable, and very funny. He made both my husband and I feel very comfortable and incredibly happy with our purchase. I cannot recommend Matt or this store enough. I will absolutely be back, and am inspired to keep on running with my new shoe purchase. Thank you so much, Matt!

Just bought my first pair of New Balance shoes. Matt helped me try on probably 10 different pairs, and then helped me narrow it down to the ones that suit me the best. Great customer service experience, looking forward to my next New Balance purchase!

WOW!!! Definitely a one of a kind experience. We came in to get shoes for our son for his sports team… Thirty minutes later, my son, my wife and I walked out with shoes and inserts. This is not your ordinary shoe store. This is a personalized fitting store that provides you with what works best for you. Thanks Andres!

Last time I purchased a pair of shoes, and there was some manufacturing defect. But by the time I found out I have already lost my receipt. I went to there again and the people there (I think is Amanda according to the namecard came with the new receipt) recognized me and made the process painless. One week later I got a brand new pair of same shoes. I would definitely go there again if I need a new pair of New Balance.

Very knowledgable young man helped me out and fit me into a new pair of walking shoes. My evening walk I actually went out of the way to go further because they were so comfortable.
Just as a side note my pace also improved from 18.36 to 17.72

Today I went there with my two years and nine months old grandson for a pair of shoes. The staff there were very courteous and efficient. They greeted us with smile and warmth. I bought the right kind of shoes for him and left within ten minutes. The parking will of course be challenge, but it may be because of Friday evening.

I am a huge fan of the company because my favorite shoe is the new balance 101 for women. I bought 9 pairs when the product had came out in 2011. They have been out of stock for years. Anton Krupicka (ultra runner sponsored by new balance) blogged that the show would be back on the shelves in January 2015. I went into this store in January and the woman in store asked if I needed help. I said I was looking for this shoe that is supposed to be coming out some time in January and dropped Anton’s name. She came off rude saying she was the owner of the store and she had never heard of that shoe. I know that doesn’t sound that rude, but in customer service usually people say it politely and say they can look into it for you. And maybe they might know who their company’s poster boy for trail running is? I have been witing years for this shoe to come back out. Now that the shoe is on the market I would haev loved to walk a block to this store to purchase them but I think I will buy them online instead.

They have a pretty solid selection of the newest shoe brands. The people who work here weren’t super knowledgable, but they also weren’t «sales-​y» so I appreciated the no-​pressure environment.

I needed a pair of New Balance M980’s for my son, called ahead and they had his size and width in stock in the color that he wanted, they said they could hold them for 5 days, nice touch.
Parking in Rivermark Plaza is never easy, short on spaces and always more cars, with some circling managed to find a spot.
Went in and true enough they had them waiting for us. They were kind enough to price match New Balance website, they were just listed $ 116 but dropped price to $ 109. They have some real good quality orthotics, my son needed the custom ones at $ 67.99 which was really pricy but it gives him an arch and takes the weight off the heels, so what are you going to do? They do have a good selection of shoes in various sizes and widths (regular, 2E, 4E and 6E wde)
The orthotics for my daughter and I model IAS3720 Stability Insole were cheaper on
, with free shipping for $ 32 I decided to buy from there as the store associate could not price match, they had them for $ 45
Staff was very helpful, they do have a 30 day return policy on shoes that are unworn and 10 days on orthotics.

I was never a New Balance fan until now. I recently purchased a pair of Minimus shoes. Everyone in the store is very friendly and the girl who helped me was extremely knowledgable. The have a great selection of shoes and other clothing.
I am very happy that I found this place and I highly recommend it to others.
I’ll definitely be back.
