I have been going to this place to eat Burritto. The orange hot sauce that they give is one of its kind. I don’t like their deep fried chips though. The staff is always very courteous and takes your order very patiently and will always greet you as soon as you enter.

Came in here 40 minutes before closing and was told I had to get my food to go. I agreed, the handful of techies ahead of me were all standing around waiting for their food to go as well. In walks Mexican couple and they get to eat their food in house. Whack. I’ll make my drive to La Vic’s instead. Btw, cheese was out of temp and super cold, got a handful of chips and threw off the ratio of chips to toppings, no napkins, no utensils. What a shoddy business.

Running around with Kat and we needed burritos to keep us going! I’m a fan of Iguana’s in San Jose but had never tried this location. Just felt kinda sterile and generic. However the place was clean and the food was good. Decent selection of micro brews on tap or standards in a bottle. Just didn’t have the cool feel of their other location. But if I need a burrito I’m going back for sure!

Food is just ok. Low rating because guy taking orders was more concerned with the football game on tv. I ordered chili verde and he placed al pastor order.

Food: I thought my burrito was ok but nothing like omg wow. My fiancé got diarrhea after eating a burrito from here. He thinks it might’ve been the sauce because I didn’t use any sauce on my burrito. Horchata served here so that’s a plus. TV was on playing the Warriors game so that’s a plus. Inside: kinda cold feeling with the tile floor and standard tables and chairs. Not a place you wanna hang out for too long because it’d be hard to feel comfortable. Overall just ok for me. Not horrible but not good. Not sure about my fiancé getting diarrhea.

This place has been hit and miss for me lately, sometimes it’ll be the best burrito or taco i’ve ever had and other times a complete mess. When I do happen to come to this location the staff has always been great so i’ll give them that but please get your quality of food consistent, I don’t want a soggy burrito that’s falling apart within minutes of receiving it.

I love iguanas because everything. Usually, I would get the pollo asado burrito super mini size because their normal size isn’t much bigger and it’s the same price as their regular burrito. Super(chicken) fries are so mouth watering goodness! WITHORANGESAUCEONEVERYTHING! YES! Their fries used to be a little watery but it’s definitely gotten a lot better. Personally, 10x better than la vics in general.

I go to this one because it’s closer to my house. I haven’t had a problem with it(so far). The person @ cash is always nice and recommending stuff. Plus if you’re like me who can’t have dairy, he doesn’t mind that you ask for it to be taken off. I always get something different, from a burrito to just rice and beans and now my latest thing I love are the chicken enchiladas with rice and beans. I do wish my food was a bit warmer when I open it. I’m only about 6 mins away and by the time I get home my food isn’t the temperature I want it to be. And I know it doesn’t get cold that fast especially if it’s wrapped up. I also wish it came with more rice and beans. The portions I had didn’t seem like enough. But you can buy a side of rice and beans for like $ 1 each I believe? So that’s probably what I’ll do next time. The service is usually fast too. You get stuck watching TV which usually kills the wait time. Most of the time, they have it on some sports game which is nice. Last time it was the Niner game. The time before that it was on the Cubs postseason game. Overall this place is good and decent. It’s mostly busy whenever I come in. I usually come either late afternoon to evening time.

Want undercooked oily frieds?(see picture for reference) Want a crappy burrito ? Want to pay extra for pico de gallo and not get it ? If you answered yes to the any of the questions above then come to Iguanas, The perfect place for you to experience all the above. The burrito was mediocre. Rice and beans flavorless. Carne Asada was ok, only because I have had way worst. The french fries where completely unacceptable I can’t believe that had the audacity to serve undercooked(parts where still cold/frozen) oil drenched fries. BTW, there was only 2 customers(me included) at the time so it wasn’t like they where extremely busy. Save your self the trouble just go to Taco bell down the street. At least Taco bell won’t serve you undercooked shit.

Want a giant burrito? Want quick and simple Mexican food that’s tasty and great? Want friendly services? Then come on down to Iguanas. Whether it’s their giant burritos(save half for another meal. hehe) or their cheesy enchildas, you’re in for a real treat. I love that the food comes out piping hot and everything is melted just perfectly. My favorite dish is the chicken enchildas. Their chicken is tender. The tortillas are just the right texture: not too soggy and not too tough. I also felt that it was thinner than some of the enchildas I’ve had tried in other places. The beans also was smooth and not just a lump of lard. What I like about this place is that the food doesn’t seem so heavy. I don’t feel like I’m eating too much lard or oil like I usually do at Mexican restaurants. Therefore, I can feel satisfied and not too guilty about my healthy after indulging myself in the Mexican meal. I did try their horchata, but it was too sweet for me. But I like it that it wasn’t so watered down as some places I’ve tried. This is a great lunch joint if you work around the around. Even though there’s a lot of people, they have quick and friendly services.

Carne Asada nacho fries people, need I say more? Of course I Unilocaled while I was up north but this place was chosen by my brother in-law who is from this area. He strongly recommended it and his sons that range from 8 – 17 all raved about it. I was familiar with the brand because I love watching Man vs. Food and Adam had gone to the one in San Jose. I was going to go with the burrito but I had just eaten a small snack so I shared the nacho fries. They were very flavorful a little skimpy on the portion of meat but that is just me cause I am a carnivore. The signature hot sauce was bomb on everything and it had a kick. I had just mentioned that you judge most Mexican food places solely based on how good their salsas are. I also ordered my boys a regular burrito which was okay but it lacked all the extra stuff to make it over the top. Then my other boy got two tacos which he hated because they had beans but that is just him others would like it. He is more of a common street taco person so I understand but I ate it and it was pretty good. Then my youngest got a mini taco and a $ 1 burrito that was the size of his 5 year old palm. But he enjoyed the dollar options so I am okay with it. All in all a good place not the best but all the extra stuff and the sauce make it good just not traditional Mexican cuisine.

After watching Man vs. Food, my husband was super excited to eat here. We were not impressed. We shared the $ 22 burritozilla with Al Pastor and refried beans(and of course rice). My portion was more like Rice and beans with a little Al Pastor. The sauce they give you is pretty good. It’s like a Chile Japones with garlic and honey. We ended up taking about 1⁄3 of it home. Not worth the $ 22 imo. Kids had the mini tacos at $ 1 each. Great price point for the kids. They enjoyed them. Rice and whole pinto beans on the side for baby girl. She liked them. Rice was a little bland, but soft and not sticky or mushy or «burnt» flavor. Pinto beans were good. Simple and nice color and not exploded(not old or overcooked). Excellent price point at $ 1 each as a side. We also ordered a side of Guacamole and chips. It was not guacamole. It was watery and soupy. Not cool. Chips were tasty though! They were out of lids for cups :/ Cleanliness is huge for our family. This place grossed me out. Windows dirty. Tables dirty. Floors dirty. Bathroom dirty. Walls dirty. Everything dirty. So, with all that said and done, we can check this off our bucket list.

The only Iguanas I’ve been to is the one in downtown SJ and that was one time. I can’t even remember when I went there. But luckily, there is one near Great America. I came here last night with my sister after watching a movie at AMC Mercado. I was already full from eating a few hours prior to coming here, but that didn’t deter me from ordering a Tiny Taco from this place. For only $ 1, it was pretty satisfying. It’s literally a small taco with meat and cheese. Add some of their spicy orange sauce and you have an explosion in your mouth! It may be a small taco, but it was really good! I might have to come back here for their burritos and super tacos because I haven’t tried those yet. Also, cashier dude was super nice and friendly. I always say good customer service will bring back loyal customers. **Side note: They turn the fryers off after 9PM on Mondays to clean the fryers so you may be limited on what you can order off the menu.

This was my 2nd time at Iguana’s, and I do like it a lot. My first time here I got a pollo asado burrito, but this visit I got the chipotle chicken super quesadilla. I really, really liked it. It had a big kick and I wasn’t sure if it was the orange sauce or the actual chicken, but that didn’t stop my from woofing it down. Warning the quesadilla is filled with salsa and guacamole on top of the chicken and cheese, so it is super messy. But if it doesn’t get all over the place it doesn’t belong in your face!

Here ye Here ye, Team Swole hath blessed thee establishment with thy presence post-workout as we commence our muscle recovery on the path to gainzhood. Gym buddies and I decided to expand our culinary experiences and go for the BURRITOZILLAAAAARAAWRRRRRRR. We ordered a BURRITOZILLAAAAA with Black Beans and Carnitas as well as an order of Iguana Nachos with Carne Asada. The prep was very brief and only took about 5 minutes. It wasn’t expected to take long since it’s basically 3 burritos combined into one. This thing is HUGE. I wouldn’t try to eat this alone. We(5 total) sliced it up into segments to devour the mammoth python of a meal. Surprisingly, the BURRITOZILLAAAAA was no match for our post-gym beast mode meal time and we had to order ANOTHERBURRITOZILLAAAAA. Thy match was met and we had to stop short of the last portion. As we digested I brought up Horchata. Nobody on my team had tried it so I turned to order and noticed the machine was empty! I must have audibly said something because a few minutes later the cashier brought us two large styrofoam cups with lids. He asked if we wanted some horchata on the house and we accepted. Perhaps it was a gift from burrito Gods for consuming so much zilla-ness. It was greatly appreciated and we tipped him even more on top of our initial tip. My team enjoyed the horchata and will forever remember this Iguanas as removing thy cherry de horchata. Thanks cashier dude and kitchen staff for the prompt delivery of the food! We shall return to destroy another BURRITOZILLAAAAA!

Not sure why the reviews are so low for this place. Sure it’s a burrito chain and I wouldn’t say it’s the most authentic, but the prices are decent, service is pretty good, and the food tastes great. Came here really quick before a free screening of Mad Max: Fury Road at the AMC Mercado and was not disappointed by the food or the service. Very quick as well. The dude at the counter was really positive and on top of everything which what I normally expected from my fast food, or at least«quality» fast food. Had the steak burrito and two tacos for the girlfriend and we both enjoyed the food. No really complaints. The super burrito was that big, but it left me content versus feeling overstuffed. Still, I didn’t feel all that great eating that food before the film, but I survived. Overall, I think the low rating isn’t deserved, but who am I to say which restaurants deserve what ratings. Plus, they have Iguana pictures everywhere. Can’t complain about that!

I have to say that this was really a good burrito. I really enjoyed the chicken super iguana Burritozilla. Their was a line out the door. But it was well worth the wait. The only draw back is that there is only limited seating. I had to share a table with other people. The service was good. If you are in a hurry, this is not your place because you will be waiting at least 5 to 10 minutes to get your food. But if not, I say wait! It’s really good. I enjoyed it. I complimented the burrito with a glass of agua de Horchata! Oh I forgot to mention, trying to find a parking spot is very hard, especially during lunch rush! If I ever come back to Santa Clara or San Jose I will make sure to stop back in for a yummy burrito! Enjoy! #SenorFood
