I feel bad about leaving a bad review. I don’t know how long one should try a business before deciding on a rating– 5 times, 10, 15, more. Let’s just say I’ve had it after many months and visits with no improvement in service. I agree with the person who said it is about the money with her. I agree that she is on-​time and answers phone messages promptly. Both create a problem. She operates her business in 15 minute increments. If she runs late (rarely), she cuts your time but bills full amount. If you arrive 5 – 10 minutes early and she takes you early, she cuts your time so that she is still on the quarter hour but bills full time. If she runs over (rarely), she charges you for next 10 – 15 minute increment even though she chose to run over time. Yes, she takes phone calls and cuts your time. About half the time, she stops 5 minutes early and charges the full amount even though there are lots of hairs left. So you pay for full time, but don’t get it, and she stays on schedule. No matter what, you owe her more money. And she always has an excuse for why she can’t remove the hairs– too tough, too light, too fair, and so on. She seems to pluck the hairs rather than kill the follicle. They keep coming back within two weeks. If they were new hairs, they wouldn’t all show up at exactly the same time and same place. So I am moving on. The place has plenty of free parking. Getting appointments is easy. She has a clean place and yes, she does work promptly on time. Oh, there is no privacy… everyone who walks in can see you getting work done. Great that she can monitor who is there, but not pleasant for someone who likes to maintain privacy.

I went to her for a few weeks for electrolysis and did not feel confident in her work. Although she is a nice woman she just did not put her 100% in the work she did as. I felt as she was more about the money than her clients. I also noticed that at the end of the session she would apply aloe vera with the same spatula for everyone which I found totally disgusting and unhygienic. I also did not like the fact that she would stop every few minutes to answer her phone and make appointments. Additionally I think she could do without talking to her daughter or mother during the sessions and wait until she is finished to attend their phone calls.

I’ve gone to debbie for over 10 years for waxing. She is the best! Does a great job & is so easy to chat with while we pass the time.

I love Debi! She is a super sweet, professional and effective electrologist. She does both blend and thermolysis electrolysis methods which is great since I have been her client while pregnant and while not pregnant. She is easy to talk to and very flexible with scheduling my appointments. I recommend her to anyone who could use some help in the unwanted hair department.

I have a very busy schedule, and the owner Debie De Maria has always been very flexible! Debie is very personable and always makes you feel comfortable, especially when it comes to waxing very uncomfortable parts! The office is very clean, beautifully decorated and definitely reflects the service you receive. I highly recommend De Maria’s Electrolysis!

I have gone to a few different places for electrolysis and Debie is by far my favorite. She is always on time, she answers her phone in person, and she has flexible hours. She is truly a professional. The office is clean, and she sterilizes and washes all utensils (including her hands) between clients.
I saw that she was recently written up in the local newspaper as having 16 years of experience in her shop on Franklin and Monroe, and I believe it. She uses slightly different techniques and intensities depending on the area, and the person she is working on.
Her prices are also reasonable.
If you are considering electrolysis for the first time, you should stop by to see Debie, you are sure to have the best experience possible (no, she doesn’t promise it won’t be a little painful).
