It’s an European bakery owned by a Korean lady. The lady was patient with me while I was debating what I should get for the first time visit. The place is small but cozy. There are many choices of pastries, cookies and cakes. Finally, I got a custard cream puff and almond cake. They are amazingly yummy! The custard is creamy, fresh but not too sweet and the puff is flaky and crispy. Once you have a bite on it, you can’t stop! The almost cake is moist and soft, and the cream/almond gives it a good balance of creamy and nutty. The price is much cheaper than other Korean bakeries and you got high quality sweet! Will go back often for sure!

This is for service… maybe it’s the area I’m in, but the lack of customer service is just too much! I stood there for quite sometime and the guy never acknowledged me. Then he takes a phone call and takes down an order… well I just walked out! Ugh!

The custard puff was very good. However, the nut brownie and vanilla cupcake with a whip-cream style frosting tasted stale to me, and I am not hard to please. Couple was watching TV in the back(6:00pm ish) when I came in and the man eventually made eye contact with me but went back to watching TV. There is a bell by the register but I would think eye contact would be enough to get service.

I was looking through the pictures on Unilocal for this bakery and one caught my eye. It was the burnt almond cake. My hubby’s bday was coming up and I decided to get him one. I called the bakery to make sure they had one available and the man who answered the phone told me it only takes him 5 minutes to make the cake. So I told him I would be right over. When I got there I asked him to write a bday message on the cake which he did for free. My 6 inch round burnt almond cake cost $ 20.95. Everyone loved it. The cake itself was light. The frosting was good, not too sweet. Love me some almonds. So glad this place is nearby!

I think this place is korean owned? I got this huge cinnamon disc like flaky hard pastry thing that I forgot what it was called. It was hard to eat/split since it was literally hard to split it and when we did, the flakes spilled through the whole table and made a mess that looked worse than my room on even my bad days. Too sweet and lukewarm. If I come back I’ll have to try some of their other pastries to see what’s good

Purchased the burnt almond cake for my wedding anniversary and it was a hit with everyone! It’s the right amount of sweetness and the almond combination with the soft cake inside is perfect! Highly recommend this place. Also bought several of their pastries and my favorite was the cannoli!

Oh wow it was such a good breakfast sandwich I was picking through the wrapper to get all crumbs of that awesome croissant when… I found a lil tag-along. Food was great. I wish I hadn’t found the piece of cockroach after I was done. I didn’t feel anything crunchy in my sandwich, so you might be the lucky winner of the rest of the roach body if you stop by this place later today. Tell the little old Asian lady thanks for me. Oh dammit… I just realized I’m going to have to throw away that cream puff I bought too. ..

Pretty good pastry. I had a fruit croissant and a milk tea. The milk tea was not overly sweet and just what I needed after having ramen in the same complex. I’ll have to try their cakes and deli sandwiches next time, they look pretty good too.

Well this is crazy to this store. I type pastries this name pop up. I check it out they store small good cuz of the pastries left and right. I bought the huge cinnamon bread its was taste good not to sweet which good. The old odd part about on this store the sales lady already see you and still ignore you. I was the only one at the store too. Little help with the customer service. But pastries and croissant are good, but I don’t know about the cake I will try later… hopefully the lady will notice me and help me out lol.

First off… if you run into the older lady she has no customer service what so ever. I even tried to overly smile to get her to smile, doesn’t work. I go here very often, but of course when I Unilocal,I judge the food not the service. They use real butter instead of margerine in their baked items which is a huge plus with us. Their pastries are not overly sweet. Cookies are nicely crisp and the cakes are soft and moist. Everything is balanced taste wise. Other then that – quality baked goods, that’s why we keep returning. Maybe one day the lady will crack a smile with me… maybe one day. Lol

This place is old and it looks sketchy, but their desserts are scrumptious! Ok well, I’ve only been here once and this is solely me judging by the desserts I bought from here a few back. Oh, and their prices are very affordable. It’s not really a whole-in-the-wall place, but it kind of is, cuz I honestly didn’t pay attention to this place until I walked passed it after I went with my friend to get her brows done. I looked at Unilocal!reviews and pictures, and from what everybody bought, it looked good… especially those cream puffs… seems to be one of the more popular items here… Damn, those cream puffs are effin’ HUGE… lol…luckily when I went, they had only four cream puff pastries left… of course I bought all those suckers and had them filled with custard. I also purchased two slices of the princess cake. The princess cake was good, but I wouldn’t buy this again. It was super rich, dense, and a little to sweet for my taste. I still enjoyed it though haha. But damn, them cream puffs though lol… I can’t fit an entire piece in my mouth without digging my nose in it too… lmao…it’s so good you wouldn’t want to share… They have other filling flavors too such as chocolate and green tea… you know I’ll be on those next!

My current favorite! Kee is just awesome. I have had him make custom design cakes for my son’s birthday and a friend’s baby shower recently and both times he has delighted us with the taste and look of the cakes. We got a lot of compliments from our guests. Also, his burnt almond cakes are excellent as well. If you looking for cakes that aren’t too sweet and just right, you should try this bakery!

COPENHAGENCROWNBAKERY Great bakery to eat and feast on! The cakes looked pretty good, so will have to try them one day. If you’re looking for something a bit more substantial, try the from the deli. Will need to try the burnt almond cake next time!

Not for someone on a diet, but I was starving and I work out on the reg(so I can eat). YUM. I’d be open to trying some of their other items on the menu. I was also drawn to the bakery/deli because I’m visiting Copenhagen in a couple weeks, but funnily enough — the mom/pop store is run by Asians. Maybe they previously lived in Denmark? Can’t speak to the authenticity but the(HUGE, bigger than my hand) custard puff was just so delicious. Stop reading, and check it out now!

Once upon a time, my friend Lily shared a cream puff with me at work. It was DELICIOUSLY sugary and flakey and I had to know where it came from. The first time I bought a cream puff here, I accidentally left it in the hot car all day… but the puff was so delicious that I ate around the spoiled cream(yeah gross, sorry for the details). Today, I went back for more, and I was disappointed because there was SOMUCHCREAM. I squeezed it out into the paper bag before eating the rest of the actual pastry part. Anyways, cool bakery with a horrible parking lot. Everyone working there today was super asian despite the european name. I’ve only ever tried the cream puff, but I’m starting to think that it’s too much sugar for me. It’d be a great snack to split after eating some fatty ramen next door though! It’s a tad pricey at $ 2.35/ea, but this is one HEFTY puff.

I wanted to like this place. I walked in to this small bakery and saw so many items I wanted! From Marianne’s ice cream, to different pastries, milk tea/smoothies, sandwiches, and cakes. Huge selection was great! The first time we came in there was a lovely, older woman working who was smiling at all the customers and looked helpful. We wanted to have dinner next door first so we decided to come back here afterwards. When we came back there was a younger man working, wearing a shirt that said something like«getting bi#%^» or something(I didn’t want to stare at his shirt too long). He seemed super confused and like he was freaking out so I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt and I told him to take his time, we weren’t in a rush. There were no other customers besides us and another customer who was in front of us and was already helped. We decided on a box of their cream puffs because it seemed like that’s what they were known for. I choose my 5 flavors. He didn’t write them down or anything. He came out twice saying they ran out of a flavor. Then«oh jk we do have it. No wait we don’t. Uhm…» So he hands me the box and everything was good. I get home and he didn’t even give me the correct flavors!!! I looked at them before I left, but how was I to know from the outside of the cream puff what was inside each one? I was pretty disappointed. As for taste, these cream puffs are not crunchy like beard papas, they are more comparable to Asian bakery cream puffs except with a little more breading, with a soft outside. The café mocha, raspberry, and green tea, would be my favorites. I like how the green tea cream puff not only has green tea filling, but the shell is also green. The chocolate and vanilla were not sweet at all. I wanted to try the lemon and the éclair, which is what I ordered, but unfortunately did not get. Hope to come back next time when the woman is working! Would love to try other pastries and the cream puffs I didn’t try.

I’ve honestly just passed this place about a gazillion times but never really had a chance to try it out but to my luck they’ve started staying open late!(8:30pm to be exact) I’ve heard about these amazing cream puffs but by the time I got there they were all gone ;(NooOoOoo! I will be back tomorrow. But moving on I had the tiramisu and it was so lovely! Very soft and creamy and just the right amount too! I love my sweets but sometimes the slices are quite large and I feel as though I am committing a sin when I have my fill and throw the rest away. Not here though. Just the perfect size! Sorry wish I had a picture but I just couldn’t wait as soon as I picked up my fork. Next time I will try to restrain myself! They also have Marianne’s Ice Cream what!!! Usually I only get it as a treat whenever I’m up in Santa Cruz but now I have a piece of heaven so close to home. I was running on a tight schedule and had to keep my browsing to a minimum but I’m very excited to come back and try at least one of everything for I am a glutton ^.^ Oh! And did you know they have smoothies and Boba? Cakes and Boba in one stop. What a life saver! You go Glen Coco!

I’ve been craving cream puffs for the longest time now and have been contemplating on whether to take a drive to beard papas and pick up a few lately. However, ever since I have been coming to this bakery, everything has been so delicious but the cream puffs were sold out almost every time. I have not given up though, I finally got to try one of their amazing cream puffs and it did not disappoint. First, the size of it is just wow, HUGE. MELIKEY. and the cream custard inside was so delicious and not overly sweet. It was perfect. I loved it. I have found my replacement cream puff bakery now. Just a tip though, they sell out fast so make sure you get there early and pick up a couple because I promise you, you won’t just want one. I tried multiple danishes here and they are all very soft and yummy as well. My favorite is the cheese danish. the ones here are just so perfectly soft yet flaky on the outside like a true danish with the delicious cheese filled on the inside. The mexican cookies here are really good too. they are not easy to find in this area, so it’s a plus that they have them here. For cakes, I highly suggest you try the burnt almond cake. YUMYUMYUM. Also they customize cakes here. I’ve seen some of the cakes that people have ordered from here and they look AMAZING. From hello kitty themed cakes, to bachelor party cakes, and just crazy creative birthday cakes, check this place out. you won’t be disappointed. I love you Copenhagen bakery. I hate how delicious your cream puffs and danishes are. It’s a love hate relationship. I’m craving a cream puff now.

I don’t get out to this side of town much, but I just happened to be in the area and Copenhagen Crown Bakery(CCB) has been on my radar for a while – and when in Rome! CCB is a real old school type bakery(they’ve been in business for over 50 years!) that you probably used to visit with your parents. I picked up a nice smattering of items(*oink oink*) to get a sampling of what CCB is all about. Cake: Bought a slice each of the Mocha and Burnt Almond Cake; the Burnt Almond was ridiculously airy; had an odd moisture content and no real flavor to speak of. The Almonds themselves tasted old, soft and weren’t candied like they should be. It was like eating a cloud – fluffy and tasteless. I took two bites and chucked the rest. Unfortunately, I had the same complaint about the Mocha Cake: airy, bland and insipid. I’ll stick to Peters’ and Dick’s for my Burnt Almond, and Greenlee’s for everything else cake related. 1* Cookies: Grabbed some Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Raisin, and Thumbprint. The Chocolate Chip and Oatmeal Raisin all tasted pretty standard; nothing I couldn’t make myself at home, but I do appreciate the homemade taste. The Thumbprint Cookies where the hands down winner in this bunch: dense, sweet and tons of buttery flavor! CC&OR3.5*/ Thumbprint 4* Cheese Delite(sic): I originally thought these were Danishes, but according to CCB’s website they’re called«Delites” – whatever the name, I think I’ll call them«Delicious!» Light, airy, flaky and just the right ratio of cream cheese-to-jam. I could eat these everyday, and at only 95¢ a pop they won’t break the bank – just your belt! I highly recommend to nuke it for a few seconds, as the warmth really brings out the pastry crust. 5* Service & Ambiance– Located in a decrepit strip mall of El Camino, the interior and exterior of CCB could both use a makeover, but like I said, this place is pretty old school. The lady helping me out was friendly enough, but I could tell she was a little annoyed at my indecision as I perused the case of goodies. However, she had probably been up since o-dark-thirty, so I’ll cut her some slack. 3* Value– The cake slice prices were pretty high($ 4.25/ea), but the cookie and pastry prices seemed on par with everywhere else. 3* I had a feeling that the Burnt Almond wouldn’t stand up to Dick’s or Peters’ – but you know I had to try. For those of you that jock CCB’s, I highly advise you to take a road trip, but I digress… Other than cake misstep, everything else was either really good to even great. I wish I had remembered about their Cream Puffs and ordered one of those – next time, Gadget! To summarize in the words of Peter Clemenza: «Leave the cake. Take the Cookie.»

Review for the bread only: it tasted fine, nothing exceptional. Not a very great selection at all(they only had one type of bread loaf, already sliced)

I was in dire need of finding a new and tasty bakery to get a cake for my friends birthday at the last minute and one that opened extremely early. So I took to Unilocal and saw some really good reviews and thought I would give it a try. This place can be very easy to miss as it is located in a rather old looking shopping center off of El Camino Real. I walked in and liked what I saw, this bakery was very old– fashioned and seems like it had been around for quite some time and those are the bakeries that make the best cakes and pastries. I was greeted as soon as I walked up to the counter but it wasn’t very friendly. I saw a case in front of me that was filled with cookies, eclairs and other delicacies and then to my right was a case that had all of the different types of cakes they offered. Everything looked so good and fresh, as it probably was because I saw a man in the back preparing pastries to be baked. I knew when i came in there I wanted a chocolate cake of some sort but there were a few different varieties. My friend loves cakes that are completely chocolate so I went with the chocolate fudge cake. I asked the woman behind the counter if they could write on the cake and they did, I just wish the writing would have been a little nicer. I also purchased a few chocolate chip cookies. The cake was amazing my friend loved it and they ate it up so fast, she said it was one of the best chocolate cakes she has had and they cookies were very delicious as well. I will be coming back next time I need a cake for an event or if I’m in the area and want some yummy pastries.
