Man. I wish I were more of a hat person. Because hats are fantastic, especially when they’re well made. This store really made me smile. Maybe it was the super cute pumped up tunes. Maybe it was the enthusiastic guys at the counter. But either way, I really enjoyed browsing this hat shop. The friend I was with is a huge hat person, thus why I have the cloche hat I do — after browsing hat stores with him. The energy of this place was great and though I’ve been trying to convince him into a pageboy/newspaperboy hat he hasn’t been budging. We didn’t end up picking up anything this trip, but these hats are definitely fabulous(if not a smidge overpriced because, hey, it is the mall) so I’d love to come back if I had an event to specifically wear one too. Perhaps mystery themed? Dum dum duuuuum. I’m just not much of a hat person without a reason to be I guess: D

I was a bit worried that this store would only carry very formal hats due to the name, so it was pleasantly surprising to see the variety when I walked in. They have a nice collection of straw hats, floppy hats, baseball caps, flat-brimmed hats, trilbies(yes, it is possible to wear them without looking like a tool), costume hats, and even a few outdoorsy hats. I expected them to be pricey as well, as some smaller shops in this mall try to set themselves up as being«boutique.» Well, there were certainly some that were out of my budget, but I also saw a lot of hats that were under $ 30 or otherwise reasonably priced. There are so precious few brick and mortar hat stores around here that is not LIDS, and I hope this place stays around. I do wish the quality of the particular hat I picked up was slightly higher for the price($ 28). I sucked it up as being the«Valley Fair premium,» but it would’ve been nice to charge a few bucks less. The sales associate was just getting trained as I walked in, so it doesn’t seem fair to comment on the quality of help. :) I will mention that no one was pushy or made me feel pressured during the 30 minutes that I spent in this store.

Found the perfect hat for a tea party I’m throwing but left it behind because the sales girl was so unhelpful and rude! I tried asking a question and she totally blew me off. I found the same hat on amazon and bought it there, for less!

Love love love this cute store that’s just for hats! I walked in with my friends and totally liked all the different hats to choose from. I bought these cool hats that was totally«Gossip Girl» worth(as in I saw one of the actresses wear it during one of the episodes) I love the material too! Not some cheap store stuff — quality of the hat is totally cool. I’ll come back sometime!

I am extremely pleased to write this review here. I stopped here to purchase my middle son a hat, and trust me there are many hats to choose from, but why here and not just a normal hat store. That is a great question, my son like to wear«gangsters» type hats, and it has become his signature item to wear, everybody thinks it is him and he looks cool, well the hat he purchased in Las Vegas was not made of the highest quality material, so I figured for Christmas I would spend a few dollars and get him something he can be very proud to wear, so I was able to sneak out his hat and take it shopping with me, and the employees here were just outstanding!!! They helped explain to me the difference in most of the hats, and when I showed the employees the hat, the knew exactly the kind of hat I needed and wanted to purchase, they help me get the rut size, color and type overall if you are looking for a speciality hat, this would be the only place you need to come to. Thank you to all the employees there former help and service.

What an interesting little shop. You can find unique, non traditional hats here. I saw western, English, and all types of other hats at this joint. The staff was wonderful and not pushy at all. They let us browse and try things on and left us after they let their presence be known for help. If you’re looking for something for your dome besides a baseball hat, this place may be for you. We didn’t purchase anything that day but maybe next time.

You have GOT to be kidding me! How is a store allowed to be called Chapel Hats and not have ONESINGLE hat to wear in church. USELESS! I would give it no stars if I could. The nice kid at the counter said I could look up the selection online and they could ship it from one of the other stores. Only one problem… they don’t sell church hats online either.

This is a fantastic hat store. Both you and your grandpa will love this store because they have a huge selection of hats for both men and women. Quality hats for a reasonable price – many are in the $ 20 to $ 30 range. Check out their website if you don’t want to drive to Valley Fair Mall. These aren’t hats to hide under. They are fabulous hats that make a statement. The lady’s «tiny top hats» are the perfect accessory for an afternoon High Tea. Add your own colorful ribbon or pop in a few feathers to create something unique and one-of-a-kind. Frank Sinatra said it best: «Cock your hat; angles are attitudes.» Remember: You can leave your hat on.

You’re guaranteed to exit this store with hat hair since you’ll try on about 30 hats. So you might as well buy one to hide your hair. I love hats! I used to be a baseball cap kinda guy. Now I’ve graduated to mostly fedoras and other circular brimmed hats. I’ve been coming to Valley Fair for years now and was never impressed by any stores hat selection. Lids would have the occasional fedora, and so would Macy’s or Nordstrom. But I’d rarely find a hat I liked. Or if I did it wouldn’t be in my size. Then one day I head to the mall just to kill some time and I happen upon this store. Boy was I excited. Like a kid in a candy store. I walked from shelf to hat looking at every hat they had. There were so many I wanted to buy. Each hat also came in multiple sizes. I have a huge head so sometimes I have trouble locating a hat that will work. But I had no problems here. The service was also great. If I looked confused the man that was working there would come to my aid asking if I needed help. Otherwise he’d just let me do my thing. I was there for a while too and he wasn’t pushy or anything. We truck up a nice little conversation about hats as I was paying for the hats I picked out. Super nice guy. If you are into hats then this is a perfect spot for you. If you want to be into hats try this place on for size. If you hate hats but need one. Then it’s still a good place.

My girlfriend and I were goofing off at the mall all day and wandered into this cool little hat store. I instantly loved this store not based on the hat selection, but based on the fact that the guy behind the counter was playing Ministry’s «With Sympathy» album. I can’t even remember the last time I heard«Work For Love» or «I Wanted to Tell Her.» The hat guy even said his favorite Ministry album is «Twitch.» I would have loved to correct him and tell him that«The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste» is clearly Ministry’s best work, but I think they’d like to keep people coming into the store, not scare them away … at any rate, is this review supposed to be about hats??? So we’re loitering in the store, doing our best cheesy 80’s dances and trying on a ton of cool looking hats. I’ve never been a hat guy, mostly because I have a giant head and hats tend to make it look even more gargantuan. Most of the hats here would either make me look like a total douche, or like I’m trying way too hard to look hip, but I’d most certainly come here if I needed a hat for a special occasion. If you are a hat person, the selection is excellent and they seemed to have sizes to fit the big-headed and pin-headed alike. Hopefully next time I visit Chapel Hats, they’ll be playing something by Front 242 or KMFDM…

This is a very nice store. The staff is knowledgeable, the quality of the hats is good, and the prices are very reasonable. I bought my first had there a couple days after it opened, and a second as a gift at Christmas time. I plan to be back regularly in the future.

This specialty hat store is located in the 1st floor of Valley Fair, a few stores down from Apple. The barrageof wool hats, fedoras, and fine hats made it hard for me to walk past without first stopping by. At first glance you’d think it’s a men’s hat store, but you’ll find cocktail hats, beanies, cloches, newspaper boy, bowler, etc. Never knew there were so many different types huh? Quality is also very nice, without being too expensive. Pricing is moderate. I really like this store because it offers a variety of hats, instead of just a bunch of fedoras, or bunch of New Era hats(which btw, is the only type of hat I haven’t seen here). Customer service is really awesome too, very engaging. A Caucasian male in his mid to early 20’s encouraged our 7 year old companion to roll a hat from finger to shoulders to finger. Of course this is an impossible feat for the child, but the entertainment was appreciated. It makes it more enjoyable to shop a store with engaging and happy people. Definitely come to this store if you are looking for a unique hat.
