This is a good 7 – 11 to go to when it’s hot. I always offer to get a Slurpee for my daughter when it’s hot outside and we’re headed over to granny’s. Slurpees just make the world a better place when it’s 90+ out. Clean and they keep the soda and coffee areas pretty much spotless. Line moves really fast and a good place to get Lotto tickets too. Parking lot is easy in and out.

Harry is the sweetest clerk. He always makes sure to talk to me whenever I come in and he’s always smiling, even if he’s working the late shift into the early morning. This 7 – 11 is always really clean and well-stocked. Standard prices for a 7 – 11. Love that there’s great customer service down the street from my house :)

I love coming to this 7-Eleven in the mornings for coffee on my way to work because 1. the staff are always so so friendly and 2. The blueberry coffee. I also come here in the afternoons for snacks and such for baseball right down the street and the workers are great then too.

Every once and a while when I’m in Santa Clara, I stop by this 7 – 11 to pick up some goodies. Located on Los Padres and El Camino corner behind La Paloma, the little convenience store is right there. Since this location isn’t too big compared to other locations, their parking lot is fairly small. The variety of chips here is pretty big(I usually come to 7 – 11’s to buy chips most of the time) which is a win for me. They carry some items that other locations don’t like XXtra Hot Cheetos. They sell a lot the usual stuff that most stores carry none the less. The clerk during the day time always seems down and expressionless but the night time one is always nice and friendly. Overall, clean store and decent service. Weird people come into this location a lot though. ._.

I got a Slurpee. The cashier was expressionless. I paid and left, with virtually no interaction whatsoever.

If you’ve been to any 7-Eleven in the last couple of years, then you pretty much know what to expect here. However, I think this location deserves some props because it doesn’t have all the negatives that other stores tend to get over time. The homeless or teens that tend loiter about using it as a panhandling or social center respectively aren’t here. While they have the right to come here as much as anyone, it can make a quick stop more uncomfortable than I usually like. I just want to go in and get out without any hassle. It is a convenience store after all. The location is off the main drag of El Camino Real, sitting behind La Paloma it doesn’t stand out brashly as some others do. It is a neighborhood hub where folks are picking up the basic needs for the day or stopping by for coffee. Blue collar work trucks, mini vans, and the occasional Beemer parked out front are the prototypical American cross-section seen here every day. The parking lot is the usual U-shape and fairly good sized. However, at busier times it can become a bottle neck with traffic coming or going to ECR. It takes just one person to make the wrong move and no one can go anywhere until the light cycles, but this is not the store’s fault. Just be aware during rush hour times. Inside, it is the usual riot of junk food, lottery kiosk, smokes, and a variety of magazines you have to buy and not stand around reading like it’s a library. Of course, nothing unique there, but it is one of the cleaner and well organized stores inside and out that I visit. The crew has changed over a few times in recent years, but the operation runs just the same as ever. They are very friendly and attentive, so no issues there. Even in this normalness, it is really good because so often in other stores I feel that I am either an interruption to a phone call or just an annoyance to the guy working behind the counter. Not all convenience stores are created equal. Some are just downright sketchy. However, this store I am happy to say is above average. It won’t wow or amaze you with anything particular, but it does make the pit stop pleasant and reliably ordinary.
