Sat on a ¾ full patio after standing at the hostess stand for a minute & then going inside to find someone & ask if we should seat ourselves. Can’t rate the food since we weren’t acknowledged in the 10 minutes we sat there. No menus, not a «hey, I’ll be right with you» from either server working the small patio in the 5 – 7 times they walked by. Got up and walked out… They probably still haven’t noticed. Will never go back & wouldn’t recommend.

Food was pretty good, although pretty pricy. I want a restaurant to succeed here, but where is the branding? The name Sublime comes with no info as to what kind of food is served. There is no identity established and no web presence. Even if the sign said, in big letters, «Sublime: Healthy California Cuisine» it would help a lot. To the owner: this is very basic business 101. You can’t open a restaurant in 2015 without a website and a name that hints to the consumer what type of food you are serving!

Awesome coffee! Nice café in the area, looks like the menu is changing since they opened. Good to have a place to grab a beer and dinner on Milpas.

Sublime is new, okay we get it, but methinks a place should have their ish together just a smidge before opening their doors. Ambiance — sterile. Service — servers were nice, but slow and clueless. They could not answer a single question about anything without having to run to the back to ask someone else. Food — decent enough. I enjoyed the sage chicken. My friend had the $ 40 steak dish(which I see is no longer on the menu) and the steak was juicy and delicious. Congrats! You made a yummy! However, they use Miracle Whip in their deviled eggs. Rewind… whuuuut? Ew and moving on. I looked forward to trying their tiramisu and after the server hyped it up, he told us it was not ready for the eating and wouldn’t be until the next day. Tiramisu tease! A place that charges $ 40 for a dish should NEVER have Miracle Whip on the premises!!! Where is your pride?! Ohhh yeah, it’s at the bottom of that jar of Miracle Whip. It’s miracle if they stay open, and it certainly won’t be attributed to my returning patronage.

*UPDATE* This place is closed. They made a good run of it, but apparently couldn’t make it. Great place to get an Americano before work! The owners are fantastic locals and know what they’re doing. They also have a great evening happy hour… great place to hang outside, even if it’s not on a concert night! 805 on tap. I dig the new state-of-the-art soda machine in the dining area. I’m sure they put it in there because of the high school kids(who they cater to at lunchtime when school is on), but it gives you every option you can imagine. Good people, great location, great(small) menu!

I ate here before the Robert Plant concert at the bowl. Unfortunately I was on the«bowl» all night. Explosive diarrhea… avoid(or be prepared to suffer the unholy consequences)!!

Basically the worst. We live two blocks from the restaurant and were so excited to have a new place to enjoy a family dinner outside… but alas the food is terrible, and so expensive! We’ve been twice in the last month, the first time the menu seemed very confused, pricy, and took forever to be served. My entrée was chicken and mashed potatoes, two tan colored circles in the plate, no color(veggie, salad, etc.) I make better food at home. We gave it another shot tonight… so bad! All the food was pre frozen, like it was from the shwanns truck! And the 8 $ chips and salsa were terrrrrible, completely stale and the salsa was Costco 100% The bill tonight was 100 $ I would have rather eaten my money than the food that was served. The server was super sweet and charming Im sure he’ll find a new job easily when this place closes very soon. So disappointed, the location is gold, but we will not be returning. Literally the worst.

Sublime is new, with a great location and so much potential. But the newness made for a mostly painful experience for our crew, and we’re likely not going to venture back here until they have become MUCH more established and worked out some of their kinks. Here are the Pros: — Their Sage Chicken was very good! Could have used a vegetable side, but it was a delicious meal. — Their waitstaff was very nice and apologetic about many of the negative parts of our dining experience. It was nice to have those things acknowledged, without our having to be snippy. Sometimes you go to restaurants and their servers are too oblivious to tell you that THEYKNOW the food is taking forever and that they’re sorry. — They had basketball on, which made my boyfriend happy. The Cons: — For a restaurant with NO wait to be seated(at all) — we waited a _very_long time for our food. Not just our entrees, either — for chips & guacamole. This was the supreme transgression for our party. Seated at 7:20ish, meal arrived around… oh, 8:15? Pork sliders, a pasta dish and the sage chicken. — Chips & Guacamole appetizer. This was a slap in the face — $ 9 and the chips are out of a bag. They could be the nicest bagged chips you can buy, but they are out of the bag and you can taste it. The salsa is spicy — which is nice — but not spicy enough to mask the quality of the chips. Guacamole serving size was really tiny — which I just don’t see faring well against other Milpas spots. — I don’t mean to nitpick — but the décor needs attention. Waitstaff is using a large Coca Cola water distributor right in the middle of the diners. Chairs don’t match, tables need table clothes — PAPERNAPKINS! This might be passable at a diner/fast food shop — but when you’re charging $ 22/plate, you’ve got to sell people on the experience. We were not sold. — Layout in the restaurant needs a second look. Tables were organized in a somewhat confusing way. We were VERY close to one table, but VERY far from others. It made for strange acoustics and was distracting. TL;DR: We won’t be back for a long time — but do truly hope they iron out these kinks. We’re very excited to see new spots open up in our neighborhood!

Over priced food that is terribly presented and takes like a church potluck. Wait, that’s too complimentary. Ordered a chicken quesadilla that came without chicken or cheese. Ordered deviled eggs that tasted like sugar and were dumped on a dish. Prices are ridiculous – get guacamole down the street at Los Agaves that costs half and is a thousand times better! Service stinks too. Clueless. Never going back despite how excited we are for a new joint in the neighborhood. Such a missed opportunity.

So happy they finally opened! Great Pork sliders with lots of meat… can’t wait to try everything on the menu.
