History

Established in 1992.

I have taken care of pets since I was a girl, and so it was only a natural progression for me to open a business that allowed me to this as a profession.

I lived in Ventura for several years, and I successfully took care of many different kinds of pets with my first business, Ventura Pet Sitters.

I returned to Santa Barbara 2012, and, being owned by two orange tabbies myself, I felt that there was a need for a cat sitting business with sitters that particularly know and love cats.

We have many wonderful pet sitting services in town; but they are mostly specialized in dog care, and I wanted to offer cat parents a staff who truly enjoy the company of cats and who have that special «feline connection».

A Bit About Me

I was born in Hamburg, Germany and emigrated to the US in 1990. I have lived on the South Coast since 1991.

Cats and their owners have always had a special place in my heart, and I began taking care of friends’ and neighbors’ cats when I was 14. I have been taking care of pets professionally for over 10 years and obtained a pet sitter certification with the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS) in 2009.

I have owned and operated a successful pet sitting business in Ventura for a few years and then returned to Santa Barbara to concentrate on cats and cat sitting with Snoopy’s.

When I have time I volunteer at the local shelters and I donate 10% of my fees to animal protection agencies. The rest of time I share my home with my two orange Tabbies, Alfie and Skitty.

We so appreciate Snoopy’s care of our cats. We usually have Tim twice a day to care for them. He plays with them and reads to them, plus handles all of the cleaning and food preparation very well. He sends us delightful photos with wonderful vignettes of his day with them. It really comforts us. Severine is wonderful with scheduling. It is the only way we can leave town and know that our cats and our home will be given all the attention that they need!

My kitten sitter was Tim. I loved getting daily updates and pictures. Plus, he read to them! The real review comes from my cats. I usually come in the back door, so if I use the front door they hide and are nervous. When I came home from my trip and came in the front door they were waiting — thinking it was Tim coming over. That’s when I really knew they felt taken care of. Highly recommend Snoopy!

Mica really cares about the cats she takes care of. We have used Snoopy’s several times, and the last time she sent another person to care for our cat, a guy named Tim. Tim also seemed really nice, and he wrote a detailed note of each day he came by, including a picture of our fur baby every day. I love being able to go on vacation and know my cat is happy and healthy back home. They even take care of other little things like bringing in the mail and watering the plants on my front stoop. Not to mention the house is always nice and neat when we get home. Highly recommended!

Mica and associates have been cat sitting for me for a year now, and it doesn’t get much better than their services! They take detailed notes on your kitties’ requirements, and also send you daily pictures of them and text them to you. I find this very reassuring. When I return home, I never find «the boys» needy or anxious, so I know they were well taken care of. In addition, I have called on Mica with questions about vets, symptoms my cats were experiencing, and have received prompt responses. I have a lot to worry about, but having my kitties well taken care of while I’m away, is something I don’t have to stress about.

Snoopy’s offers professional pet sitting services that are wholly customized to your needs and the needs of your pets. Mica (owner) conducts a very thorough meet and greet so that she fully understands what types of services your pet (s) will require in your absence. When she came to my house for the first time she brought Resa, the sitter who would actually be caring for our animals. While we were gone Resa followed all of my instructions perfectly and texted me daily updates with pictures. I had full confidence that my pets were in excellent hands. My thanks to the Cat and Bird Clinic for the referral. If you want nothing but the best care for your pets while you are away, I encourage you to call Snoopy’s.

Mica is the best! I hired her sight-​unseen for a very last-​minute trip, and I am thrilled with the services she has provided ! I have two rescue cats who get pretty strung-​out when I’m gone for long weekends or vacations, but not when Mica takes care of them! She really interacts with them and makes sure they get plenty of playtime and attention while I’m gone. It’s such a relief to come home to happy, well-​adjusted kitties! She sends me text updates and pictures of the boys, and I know she genuinely cares about them. I would recommend her wholeheartedly.

Mica is an excellent cat sitter. Our cat Cece typically is a compulsive groomer when we go away for long periods and can tend to go bald in spots, but not with Snoopy’s Cat Sitting! We came home and she had all her hair and was very happy. I would recommend Mica to anyone. She is very organized and even offered to drop in an extra time when we were going to be late coming home.

Mica is professional and put my mind at ease as soon as I met her. She is obviously a pet lover and listened carefully to my instructions about our pet’s specific needs. She was nice enough to send us a thorough email half way through our vacation to let us know our kitty was doing great and all was well with our home… and when we did get back to Santa Barbara, we found our cat more well-​brushed than he has been in years! Since we had our son (who is toddler now), our kitty does not get the attention he deserves. Now I know we can use Mica as a special, loving treat for our kitty when we have to travel!

Mica… you are as good as it gets. I am so over-​protective of my dog and thats why i never use a dog walker… i’d rather cancel time with my friends. But i really wanted to go to this wedding and finally said i have to find someone who i can trust. She was refered through a friend… and upon first meeting Mica she made me feel very comfortable about leaving my 95 lbs dog in her hands. He’s 2 years old and sometimes lunges at other dogs, but she had no problem with that when i told her, which means that she knows how to handle dogs. She actually left me a note when i returned that night and said he was such a good boy, and that they had some time for face licking and cuddling before she left, and that he was very content. I love that i got a note from her when i got home. She also told me to leave her a note when I leave to tell her where the food bowl is and any other instructions i might find useful for her to know. i thought that was very awesome. Again, i 100% trust Mica, and her professionalism. She is bonded and insured as well, which is also very important and shows again her professionalism and that she knows what shes doing. Thank you MICA! i feel like i can have a life now! :) haha

Nicole helped us in a bind when we first moved to Ventura a few weeks ago. Our dog is high energy and likes to pull during walks; not just anyone can walk him! Needless to say, Nicole and Mica are professional, RELIABLE, and took good care of Gus! We expected notes of his wild behavior, but instead, we received notes on his GOOD behavior, thus indicating that they must know what they’re doing and can handle even a wild dog like ours! They left us detailed notes that eased our initial concerns and even gave our cats some lovin’ when they stopped by. As we have a baby on the way, we will definitely be in need of their services now and again. I am grateful to have found them and will continue to use them in the future for their exceptional dog walking services!
