At Rudy’s you eat good food for a good price. We had fish tacos, portions are enormous and we liked it. Sitting outside is nice as well.

Rudy’s is the dive bar of Mexican restaurants. They are not trying to impress you with their ambiance. No shame in that game! Portions are enormous and the food is good, but not great.
I ordered a veggie burrito. It was lots of sour cream and refried beans and rice, but not a lot of veggies. It was tasty, but probably because of all the sour cream. My mom ordered the chicken taco special, but was unimpressed. The tacos were drowning in the sauce and the chicken looked mysterious. She wasn’t pleased.
Would probably try to visit another place for Mexican food next visit.

Rudy’s was awesome! Stopped over here after getting a couple drinks at the neighborhood. Perfect drunk food :) I’m sure it is also perfect sober food. But this particular evening I had already had a few and needed something heavy to soak it up. Rudy’s definitely did the job.
On a Friday night business was bustling and Rudy’s had a bit of a line going. But the 2 girls taking orders were quick and efficient. Prices were about the norm. I had a 2 item combination and it was $ 11. It was fricken huge! And I ate all of it! The al pastor taco was very good and topped with their green salsa, and the cheese enchilada was more the size of a burrito. Sooo good! It also comes with chips and they have a salsa bar for all your salsa needs. Check them out!

Do you want a super filling and delicious home made crispy taco? This place is your spot! They also have huge burritos and really good guacamole. This location is awesome. They always give you chips with your order which is perfect because they never run out of salsa or lemons.

Great little «hole in the wall» find! The food was excellent and very large portions. I had the largest flautas ever made. I also tried a little of everyone else’s plates in my party and it was all delish!

The wet burrito is a beast! It was too large to eat in one seating, but hooray for to-​go containers, as I now have lunch for tomorrow! The quality of the food is delicious and the salsa in the salsa bar is legit.
The atmosphere isn’t the grandest, but for a hole-​in-​the-​wall restaurant, it’s all good.
It’s a very simple place with simply excellent food. Slightly higher priced than other restaurants of this caliber, but since you get so much food, it’s still a good deal.

I’ve been going to Rudy’s on and off for 20+ years — have not been to this location in years. We stopped in for breakfast and the place seems to have gotten really run down – with the sit down tables, one is led to believe you will be served on plates, but my husband’s chilequile breakfast was inside a horrid styrofoam container (who uses these anymore?!) and the chilequiles were soggy – he couldn’t finish his meal. I had the machaca burrito, it was really good, but the overall vibe, it was freezing cold inside, made it clear that this is now a take-​out joint and eating in is a DISMAL experience. Total bummer of a Sunday breakfast out and we will never go back to this location again. Thank goodness the location at State and Ontare stays true to the original founder, who was a great guy!

Oh my! This restaurant is one of my top ten restaurants and that is saying a lot– as we dine at a wide array of restaurants! Truly, Rudy! For a fast casual restaurant, it offers top quality food in gigantic proportions. The food is prepared right in front of you-can’t get any fresher than that! I had the Wet Burrito and Shredded Beef Tacos. Scrumptious!!!

Holy guacamole! We are visiting SB and stumbled upon Rudy’s. It was beyond our expectations. First, the portions are for Sumo wrestlers. Second, the food is great! We had the beef chimi, Rudy’s Big Beef Enchilada (the name doesn’t lie) and the potato taquitos. Everything was delicious-​highly recommend.

Ordered take-​out from Rudy’s recently when staying in the neighborhood and it was awesome! There are a lot of options on the menu so it took me a while to decide on what to order… ended up getting the 2 crispy taco meal– one beef, one chicken– with rice and beans. Not too greasy, just right, and the beans weren’t overly salty, thankfully. Taco size is large. My husband had the wet chicken burrito and it was quite massive! We ordered Chips and quacamole– also generous portions. Everything was SO good, I can understand why this place is so popular!

I got the chicken burrito to go. It is pricy at $ 9 but the serving size is hefty. Comes with crisp warm chips and unlimited salsa bar.
I am only giving 3 stars because the buritto was too salty for me. However there was a good amount of tender chicken.
Salsas are on the spicier side!

HORRIBLE! Ill never go there again!
Sunday Morning, we walk in and Im already grossed out because Im watching them pour degreaser on the grill while Im ordering.
I order the chilaquiles– waited 30 mins while the staff gives everyone dirty looks and treats you like you’re an inconvenience.
The place smells dirty, like old dirty grease. The trash can inside in the restaurant was swarming with flies, and there are cobwebs all over the place.
We get our food, my plate is cold, topped with rotten avocado. I took one bite and it was overly spicy & cold. I didnt bother sending it back because the kids running the place there werent going to do anything about it.
I will never ever eat at that location again! Clean it up owners!
