Randall House Rare books is a true treasure in itself. As a love of books on California, the California Gold Rush and any sort of Western Americana, Randall House’s stock consists of all books California, the Gold Rush, literature, science, Americana, history, Pacific voyages and everything in between. Pia, the manager for Randall House, is a truly wonderful person who is nothing but kind, patient and a true book lover at heart. She is always extremely fast about sending pics, answering questions or just talking about her love of books in general. I have bought many wonderful books from them over the years. I highly recommend a visit to Randall House if you are a true book lover and passionate about rare and beautiful books that are in wonderful condition and exceptionally cared for. I recommend them highly.

This place is really a hidden gem. It is a beautiful property with an abundance of old books as well as some art. It is a gentleman’s home that he opens up for anyone to wander about. I spent about an hour just perusing and reading. It was the highlight of my trip.
