I was fortunate enough to walk by Plow to Porch Organics during a tasting event during my vacation in Santa Barbara. It was an unexpected treat! The owners and staff were amazing people. They invited us to come in and taste two salads from a cook book signing event. Both delicious salads were organic with apples, kale and other local produce. I am certain that this is the most healthy thing that I ate in this town. Their timing was just perfect too, we had just walked down to some local happy hours and were searching for something healthy to eat. Plow to Porch has a great store with a great variety of organic food for retail sale, but their main business is produce boxes. Farmers sell their very best peak season goods to the loyal customers who commit to a box subscription. Both parties win, customers get to experience a nice variety of local crops without the hassle of shopping. Farmers win because it reduces the day to day drama of selling the produce.

This is the number 1 place in Santa Barbara to buy grass fed beef! They have an amazing selection, friendly staff, and always impress me with new and local products!

We were very happy w/produce and delivery when we ordered a box for my mother as a gift. We don’t live locally and thought it would be a great idea. We have received services for at least 6 months. Tried to cancel but the owner was completely unreasonable. We were told we cannot cancel because she doesn’t know how to work her computer system. Seriously!!! we would have to log on to an account we never used yet her website gives other directions. We called the company for two days, sent an email to: plow to as directed on website. The owner kept insisting its too difficult for her to cancel an order because she has 1200 customers. She called several times today and still can’t resolve a simple task. Wow! Won’t use this company again do to poor management. Sad because we really enjoy the product!

Plow to Porch is the best! It feels like Christmas every Tuesday at my house, when the new box arrives, and I have a different selection of wonderful, fresh, local, organic produce on my doorstep. Love it!

I have been subscribed to their weekly local produce delivery for several months now, and am totally in love with this business. The diversity in produce is wonderful in that it pushes me to learn how to use it in my cooking; otherwise, I get mad at myself if I ever have to put it in the compost. Everything is super fresh because it is local. And P2P saves me a ton of time as I can’t always head to the farmer’s market. If you are someone who doesn’t always make it out to buy local, call up P2P and try one of their weekly boxes!

I had walked by the storefront and was enchanted by the little shop with its small selection of produce and local cheeses, honeys, jams, etc. I signed up for their weekly produce boxes on the spot and just started getting the weekly produce last week. I’m loving it. I actually pick-up my box, since I like being able to browse the store for goodies, and I appreciate their flexibility since I often work or am away during the times of farmer’s markets. They are slightly pricier than some other CSAs in the area, but I still recommend them. As to their actual deliveries, their produce boxes are pretty hefty and come in different sizes(Bambino for the singleton, Small box for 2 – 3 people, Family box, etc.) with a diversity of seasonal offerings of both fruits and veggies. For example, this week, I received bunches of carrots, parsley, green leaf lettuce, saladette tomatoes, potatoes, cauliflower, Anaheim chiles, peaches, blackberries, and delicious plums. They also give you the option of getting add-ons of local and organic eggs, honey, olive oils, meat, and fair-trade coffees. A note for pick-up: park around back in the parking lot for Jade restaurant, and the back entrance to their store-front is to the right behind the fence.
