Montecito Library

A Lovely, quaint space. Kind librarians who are very willing to help. Sweet activities that change each month for children and adults. If they don’t have the book you are looking for they can order it. My children love this library.

sweet. small. no bums. had everything i wanted. can order anything else. on the way to the trails so right where i go all the time.

My boyfriend and I called the library before visiting to make sure they had public wifi that he could use to take a timed exam over the internet. The library staff assured us that we would be permitted to do such. The library does not have much room for the use of personal laptops. They do have a few computers centrally located in the main room. This library also has a small reading room with about 5 chairs surrounding a short coffee table. We settled into 2 of the 5 open chairs in the reading room. I had my laptop and after checking my email intended to read the book I had with me. The boyfriend began his TIMED exam. The other 3 chairs filled up in the next 10 minutes. Midway through the timed exam the library staff came and told us we needed to leave the reading room and move to a room that is completely separate from the rest of the library in order to make room for other individuals who wanted to read. The room they moved us to contained 1 table with 10 chairs. I think it was very inconsiderate to move us from the public area in the library in the middle of a timed exam when it would have been just as easy to direct individuals who came after us to such an area.
