It’s a funky older theatre with good films that might have moved on elsewhere, but are luckily still playing here when I get around to seeing ‘em. Combine that with a good branch of the Natural Café next door and you have an inexpensive yet healthy dinner-and-a-movie date that’s good for both body and soul.

Nice theatre that is a little hidden away. Seating is however a little outdated and is not stadium style seating. If you are on the shorter side like me that can be a little tough.

Theater was tucked away, but a great vibe. Very clean, super attentive and enthusiastic employees. Seats were great, very comfy. Just a few less people than the other theaters which was great to get a little more of a private feeling, not having strangers right at your elbows breathing on your pretzel. :)

This backwater, twin screen house runs the grown-up dramas, documentaries that would otherwise vanish from town in 7 days. The foil wallpaper lobby, original concessions counter and funky restrooms need some refurbishment but who’s complaining? I’ve grown to appreciate that Metro keeps the doors open and that the Natural Café, next door serves a hot herbal tea.

My favorite theater! I love going to the cinema and the megaplex movie theaters don’t cut it for me. I’d take a quaint and authentic theater with quality movies any day. Plaza de Oro delivers that 100% of the time!

Not being a Hitchcock fan, I still must concede that the street does fit any movie theater. Plaza de Oro is a nice little place. Always have a good slate of movies. Took in a double bill of ROMANDEGARE, a delightful French flick; and UPTHEYANGTZE a documentary of the most delightful scale, human, in that massive land known as China. Nice people. And that’s the Reel truth.
