Amazing Deep Tissue Massage!
Jose is a wonderfully intuitive massage therapist. I thought I new where my pain was coming from, but he was able to find it and work through it with long and deep strokes with his forearms and elbows.
I got what I asked for so don’t be afraid to advocate and clearly state what you are wanting to get out of your massage.
Jose listened and worked collaboratively with me to help relieve pain and tightness due to work related stress and a sports activities.
I will definitely schedule a follow up with Jose the next time I’m at La Casa de Maria!

There is nothing worse then constant back pain and trying to find someone who you can trust. I had a metal plate put in my neck after I lost the use of my right arm. I needed physical therapy and found Jose. The fact he is a physical therapist makes him the most intuitive masseuse. He finds the area of your problem and «fixes» it.
I complained once to him of tennis elbow and he fixed that. I didn’t think that was possible.
I need on-​going care so I’ve had 15 years to get to know Jose and the most impressive and best characteristic he possesses is his ability to ALWAYS make me feel special. I’m not even sure how he does it but I look forward to spending time with Jose and honestly, l’m not a massage girl.
When I am traveling and have flare ups, I won’t go to see any one else anymore. I’ve had some very bad experiences that just aren’t worth it.
I trust Jose with the very thing I value most, my health and well-​being.

Jose is the most gifted massage therapist I’ve ever had. With strength, tenderness, intuition, and grace, he tunes into the subtle realm to coax my body, mind and spirit back into to my natural, sensual state of wholeness. I got to La Casa de Maria Friday for a weekend retreat. I signed up for a massage with Jose, who was on site and happened to have a space for me at 6 pm. Well honey, there are, as they say, no accidents. Jose Maria is part shaman, intuitive, angel, muscle whisperer, time bender & skilled practitioner. He coaxes the muscles out to play – even the hardened ones that refuse to budge under normal circumstances. I felt like I was breathing & being breathed. He did one thing on one shoulder and a totally different thing on the other. No cookie cutter table work here. I felt like I was floating at times and I really felt like we had been in the massage room for close to 2 hours. Ah-​no. An hour ten minutes at the most. I was not the same person who flopped on the table at 6:05! Jose Maria is truly a master practitioner. I look forward to seeing him again!
