Great experience wine tasting. Kim was great about informing us of the different Santa Ynez wine areas. Their dog Sophie was adorable and friendly. Great for yacking away with my mom.

The wines were absolutely top notch! The owner was pouring our tasting, and she was very knowledgeable about their blends and passionate about the products. Sophie, the winery dog, was the highlight of the visit! Great service and fun experience. My only gripe is that because the owner was the one doing the pour I did feel some sales pressure. Overall I was very pleased though.

the wine was good and the fact that the owner is the one pouring the tastings is really nice. The only thing I didn’t like was how pushy they were to sell a bottle. There is the cutest dog ever there and will be your best friend while your sipping your wine.

Jamie Slone Wines should be your first stop on your Santa Barbara wine trip and you simply can’t go wrong with one of Jamie’s pinots. Huge fan here. Jamie and Kym will teach you why the Santa Barbara County wines are so special, and guide you through tasting your way from the coast to the canyon and all that makes it so special. The entire experience is a great start to the American Riviera wine experience.

If you’re ever fortunate enough to visit beautiful Santa Barbara you must stop by Jamie Slone Wines. Have a taste of the 2012 Pino Noir(Library) poured by the handsome wintender and enjoy!

My girlfriend and I wanted to taste a few wines outside of the Funk Zone and found Jaime Slone Wines. Their wine and service was very good. The lady serving gave excellent descriptions of the wine and even pointed out the various Santa Barbara wine growing regions on a map — I really appreciated that. The tasting room also has a cool vibe to it. However, I was a bit disappointed that there’s only one white on the tasting menu and the tasting prices are on the expensive side. One flight is $ 15 and the other is $ 20. Their bottles are also quite expensive($ 45 – 60) and the tasting is only free if you buy two bottles(I’m pretty sure I read that correctly). Additionally, there’s a lot of overlap between the two flights which doesn’t really make it worth tasting both. You might as well just pick a flight and share it with your significant other. Two tastings shouldn’t run $ 40…drop the price and it’d be more of a deal.

I love the atmosphere here. The owners actually pour for you. Kim aka BoRiffic was fantastic. This location is very cozy. When you choose the Red Obsession, you’re able to pair your red wine tasting with delicious chocolate which brings out the flavor in the wine. I felt it brang. out the flavor in the chocolate LOL.

Such a fun experience at this wine tasting room in Santa Barbara. We had the opportunity to visit during a Unilocal event. They have the cutest poodle named Sophie! They couple is so warm and friendly! We tried multiple red wines and they were all very tasty. I especially enjoyed the chocolate pairing. We will be back for the chocolate pairing with some friends the chance we get to!

A lovely boutique wine tasting room with various blends of wines. Not only is the shop located in a charming section of Santa Barbara, but the inside is decorated beautifully. Very warm, cozy and great energy! The owners Jamie and Kym are the kind of people you immediately feel comfortable with and enjoy sharing such a great experience with. We are already planning our next trip. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

Very lovely and cozy place next to a museum in downtown Santa Barbara. It is actually among many other wine tasting rooms in that little alley. This one is out in the front, very easy to spot. There was this little cute dog in there, she is unbelievably adorable! It was amazing she doesn’t run out at all, just stands at the front door and ppl watching, very well trained dog, so lovely! Mostly they have red tastings, I can’t drink red wines, so I just ordered a glass of white, hubby had two whites and two reds tasting. We sat at the sofa bench in the corner, so relaxing in a late afternoon. We enjoyed our wine tasting time so much, I picked a candle too, it smells so nice, I am loving it. A pleasant wine tasting experience, I especially loved how they made a tasting room look like a home, it makes ppl just want to spend so much time there to try different kind of wines. Too bad I am not a fan of wines, or I would have stayed longer and tried more wines. Ps. They wave the $ 15 tasting fee if you purchase 2 bottles of wines, or remember to check in on Unilocal for 5% off one single purchase!

Hi Jamie, here are some German words for this wonderful experience: wir hatten wirklich 2 sehr schöné Stunden zusammen mit Jamie und konnten viele verschiedene Weine kosten. Dank deinen Ausführungen und den leckeren teilweise völlig neuen Geschmacksrichtungen wurde dieser Spätnachmittag wirklich zu einem Erlebnis. Super Weinverkostung! danke!

It’s like drinking wine with your friends, in their home. Good wine and good friends. Making a delicious offering of quality wines at a fair price is only part of it. For me to want to spend my money, you must sell me on the story. The dream. There are many great wines in Santa Barbara county so why do I love Sloan? Kym and Jamie with the help of Sophie, their lovable Havanese fur companion, make it great. These owners pour their heart into every bottle. Charismatic, smiling and ready with a story about themselves, how they’re learning and discovering new aspects of the winemaking business or just to talk about you. This is more than a wine tasting room, it’s a wine tasting experience. And they are more than purveyors, they are people you’ll want to have a friends. The tasting room is more than convenient, across the street from De Le Guerra Plaza. You know, the place with the bands during Fiesta. A block off State Street and almost a mile from the Funk Zone, it’s a perfect stop in the newly named, Wine Collection of El Paseo. With 6 tasting rooms to chose from, this is the more«adult» wine tasting adventure as opposed to the younger Funk Zone. If I had a Spanish/California/Santa Fe inspired home, my den would look like Jamie Slone Wines Tasting Room. The special details put into the design, the free flowing feel, the personal touch. It’s comfortable. It’s easy for groups of 2 or more at the bar, 4 – 8 in the den by the fireplace or sitting around the large table for a more«private» setting. You will want to swing in for a glass and say«hi». For the wine. Well, that’s very subjective. I’m enjoying the whites and the reds certainly stand on their own compared to others in Santa Barbara County. I have a few bottles of the 2013 Pinot Noir from Santa Rita Hills in my wine fridge now. The Aloysius Chardonnay is crisp, not too oaky and perfect for hot summer days on the Central Coast. You’re sure to enjoy the playful blend of the BoRific. Wonder where these names come from? Aloysius, BoRific, Mrs. B Grenache Blanc, another refreshing white, you’ll need to ask. There’s a story behind every pour and that’s the magic here, folks. Kym and Jamie Sloan have invited us into their home, their lives and their joy of the wine world. But don’t take my word for it. Although you should. Stop by one afternoon soon and see for yourself what sets Jamie Slone Wines apart from the rest. And tell them I said«hi». Oh wait, I’m probably already there. Cheers

Kim Slone knows how to be hospitable to a couple of southerners from Nashville. We felt right at home and the wine is first class.

Believe the hype folks, Jaime Slone Wines Tasting Room IS as good as it gets. The tasting room itself is beautiful, located right in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara, just off State Street. The décor is reminiscent of historic Santa Barbara charm, with comfortable, modern accents. There is an assortment of seating to choose from; sit at the bar, in big, cozy lounge chairs or utilize the dining table in the semi-private area in the back of the tasting room. Let me talk about the wine because who are we kidding here, that is what you really want to know about right? Well the wine is… FABULOUS! I enjoyed everything that I tasted! From the crisp Grenache Blanc, the unconventional and surprisingly yummy Chardonnay, the smooth, spicy, creamy, Pinot Noir to the bold Borific Bordeaux Blend — Jaime Slone knows how to create incredible wine! There is not one thing on their menu that I haven’t enjoyed. In fact, I love JS wine so much I had to go home with 5 bottles and joined their wine club! One of the things that is so fantastic about JSW is the warm, friendly and personable experience they create for every guest that walks in. They really make you feel like one of the family and are a delight to sit and chat with while you sip and swirl their wine. Jamie, Kim and Kate are quickly becoming friends and JSW is on the fast track to becoming my go-to local, tasting room. JSW is dog friendly so feel free to bring your pooch. They also serve gourmet, handmade chocolates from local chocolatier, Cali Bressan, which pair beautifully with their wine. Tastings might run you a little more than you would pay in the Funk Zone but the quality of the wine is better than many of the tasting rooms you’ll find in the Funk Zone. Go and enjoy! Cheers!

We walked in today and was greeted by their dog who was quiet the bell lady I must say. The bar was full but we where still welcomed and was included in the entire tasting sitting in the lovely leather chairs near the fireplace area. The owners really made you feel at home and explained the wines perfectly. We just came from Napa Valley, so, this was a nice 1 on 1 experience. Highly recommend checking them out for a great tasting experience in Santa Barbara.

Came here on the urban wine trail during the passport weekend. The customer service at this tasting room was nothing less than phenomenal. I wish I could remember everyones names, they were all so nice and friendly! I am usually a red wine fan myself, but the Aloysius Chardonnay was amazing! Light and crisp, not overly sweet or buttery. And because I was on the urban wine trail they offered to hold my wine for pick up later that day, they called me when I failed to show up(due to much too much wine) they were so nice to me about being too drunk to pick up the wine and offered to ship the wine to my house in Los Angeles! I wish I could give these people more stars, I will definitely be back.

What sets this tasting room apart are the people. Jamie and his lovey wife, Kym, are absolutely wonderful and a joy to be around. Unlike most tasting room owners(who just pop in rarely or for special events), they are both in the tasting room almost every single day from open to close. Why? Because they are genuinely passionate about what they do and sharing their wine and the stories behind it. Their love of the wine, style and culture of the Santa Barbara Riviera comes through in the way they designed, furnished and decorated their tasting room. It’s beautiful, yet casual and comfortable. Just like Santa Barbara. After enjoying your wine, when it is time to say farewell, you will most likely find that the warmth of the Slones has left you feeling like they are extended family. Why? Because they have made you feel like part of theirs. I look forward to my next visit.

Had a chance to revisit. Just really great wines… Period. Pours were more generous… Which made them that much more delicious. I walked out with two super Tuscan bottles.
