Had another FANTASTiC experience with Jim and his Blueline Paddle Shop. Now I’m hard to please and deal with so you got to be on your A+ game if you want to sell me anything! I mean it. As in my prior experience with Blueline I was totally grateful to Jim and his shop. My wife says all I do is complain, so I must give props where they are do! No BS.

Best paddle surf shop I’ve ever been to! In search for my new paddleboard, I emailed, called, and visited more shops than ever knew existed. This search began in Santa Barbara, and went down south to multiple LA area shops, and was about to head north when I found Blue Line Paddle right here in Santa Barbara. I made a brief phone call, chatted with the owner who actually went out of his way to his warehouse and was back to meet me within the area with my new board. He explained many things about paddling, which areas to try, and even stayed open well after their closing completing my purchase and helping other customers that walked in. The owner and the other staff member(I can’t believe i forgot his name… John, maybe?) treated me and my husband with such personable, genuine service that I just had to write this. Most surf shops couldn’t be bothered with my questions, or seemed annoyed if I wanted to learn more about a particular board. Not here at Blue Line Paddle. They offered up answers to every last one of my questions – and boy, did i have a lot of them. They even cut my paddle and outfitted the cross bars on my vehicle with foam pads – not to mention carrying my board out and helping me strap it securely. The store has a great selection of epoxy stand SUPs as well as the feather light, ever durable carbon fiber boards. They also sell wet suits for men and women, sandals, and other cute gear. If you’re in the neighborhood and/or looking for a new SUP, this is the place to check out. Don’t waste your time with the other stores. Trust me – I have been looking for quite a while. Blue Line Paddle has set the bar!
