I never write poor reviews because I like to support small businesses, but I felt compelled because I wish someone had saved me from working with these guys. I was referred to Black Pearl by the Hot Springs store to replace my Hot Tub motor. and pump. I spent $ 600+ with them. They were not good at communication, but I gave the benefit of the doubt. Less than 2 years later, my hot tub is not running. Black Pearl didn’t show up for an appt they scheduled, TWICE. I came home early from work and called, waited… nothing. They later sent me a cryptic email response saying they would come fix my sensor… and never contacted me again, after many emails and phone calls. A month after waiting, I called Balboa Bob who came within days of my first call, and told me it was bigger problem. I now believe Black Pearl realized this, and didnt want to warranty the motor and pump they put in. SO RUDE to not return calls or emails. PLEASE do not make same mistake. Call Balboa Bob instead.

Disagree with the one star review. We had them come out a few months ago and I was very satisfied with their service. They came in, got the job done and were very informative with any questions I had. I will be using Black Pearl in the future.

DO NOT EVEN BOTHER! I have been calling and leaving messages to try to get service with this company for over a month and finally got the actual repairman on the phone yesterday. We made an appt for 8a today and and at 815 I called him to find out where he was. He said he was right around the corder. At 830 I tried calling him multiple times with no answer and finally he answered at 9a! He had the wrong address — and when he came to the house he thought was ours he pulled up — saw someone inside — heard dogs barking (we dont have dogs) and LEFT! didn’t even call or anything! Then when I told him that this service was unacceptable he told me to find another company! How does he expect to stay in business with ‘service’ like this!!! I’m completely appalled and hope that he never gets another customer again!
