I have been going to Dr. Poulin for years and have never really liked him but the insurance I had that the time covered everything so I kept going to him. Last year I changed jobs and thus insurance companies and even though he is on the preferred provider list his office couldn’t figure out how to bill my insurance correctly. They sent me the bill, which included things that I had already paid for at the time of the appointment. They provided incorrect information to the billing company and wouldn’t give them the correct billing information, I had to send the biller my receipts from the visit, the biller was frustrated, my insurance company went above and beyond giving me instructions on proper billing codes that the office had to change in my chart before the billing office could rebill my insurance company and Dr. Poulin refused to do it so now I’m stuck paying for something that my insurance covers in full. I know many of Dr. Poulin’s former patients who have been telling me for years to go to another ophthalmologist. Now I most definitely will not be going back to Dr. Poulin.

I am constantly surprised by Andy Eastwood’s «Can Do» attitude. He has helped me successfully select frames, and recommend lenses and never crammed my bill, or up-sold me. Yesterday, he repair a broken hinge on my readers while I waited — successful and string repair, and refused payment, although I had broken the specs in the first place. ***** Andy.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Poulin for several years, and I’ve been wanting to switch for awhile. Although he seems knowledgeable, he is always very short with me and doesn’t explain things thoroughly. I finally decided to make the switch when the doctor refused to extend my contact lens prescription by one day so I could reorder lenses. One day. Now I’m stuck without lenses until I can get in for an appt. Poor patient care, in my opinion! I won’t be going back.
