Probably a 3.5. Been a few times. The pastor all meat burrito doesn’t measure up to Tapatia on Bristol and 1st. The meat on their trompo is always a little bit whimpy looking. Good flavor for the pastor, asada, and carnitas. Just kinda wish everything was a little more substantial in size.

So far I’ve found my spot. The asadã tacos here are marinated right and that is why I gave this place 4 Stars. It was not worthy enough for the 5th star because In my opinion they should chop down the meat a little more to reduce the tension on my jaw from overly chewing. If the owner is reading please at least completely remove or break down the chunks of fat in the asadã meat a little bit more by chopping it down. I know that the fat gives it flavor but too much of it will just make you spit it out onto your plate and ruin your experience. The pollo(Chicken) tacos are on point because every other taco joint would just serve you with some dry ass chicken that’s been siting there for a while, at least this chicken still carries that light char taste and flavor without being too soggy. You just need to ask for some limes to squeeze into it to give it that extra kick it’s missing from the salsã verdé. The corn tortilla is most definitely the best I’ve had around here thus far. It literally dissolves in your mouth and compliments the marinated meat very well. But overall it’s better than a good majority of taqueria I’ve been to within a 10 miles radius excluding that taco truck off of main and dyer. I wish someone around here would try to duplicated King tacos hearty green salsa. Every place I’ve been to in the OC’s salsã verdé are all watered down. But so far so good, I’ll report back once I’ve tried the other stuff on the menu.

JALEPEÑOS all I can say is yummmmmmm. Some of the best tacos in town used to go to the location in Tustin but now that there’s an actual taqueria only a block from my house. Words can’t even explain

The best lengua tacos around! I don’t live in Santa Ana but when I’m in the area I have to stop by to eat here. Check them out! Awesome food, service and prices!

This place is definitely different than most Mexican places, but different good! You can tell when you eat the food that it’s not typical Santa Ana but that’s actually a good thing. They could differentiate themselves by having special on the daily but that’s just a suggestion.

Service was good and the food is super fresh. The meat is real meat. It’s a small family business and it still holds its value unlike the other taco places in the area.

This is the worst Mexican food place I’ve ever been to. I ordered tacos with all meats except cabeza. Also an order of nachos with carnitas and a carne asada quesadilla. If you’re looking for juicy meat, lol go away. If you’re looking for badly cut limes come here. If you’re looking for crispy good soft tortillas, lol go away. If you’re looking for disappointment come here. The meat is flavorless, enough said. The service people were also stingy and I ordered $ 40 worth of food, getting only 4 cups of salsa(two red and two green). I also asked for more but the girl said she already put more in there. The darker Chipotle salsa was way too dark and the green salsa is practically jalapeño water. The nachos only get a tremendous amount of beans and very little amount of guacamole(if you can even call an avocado smoothie guacamole) and some sour cream. Very plain nachos, but the chip quality was pretty good. I was extremely hungry so I don’t have pictures of the food before. This place is literally whatever. If you want to go to a taco place nearby, go taqueria El Zamorano less than a mile down the street and get their crispy carnitas. The best meat here is probably the lengua(beef tongue) which is pretty tender. Also for a place being called Taqueria Jalapeño, why aren’t there like cut jalapeño for nachos. Their quesadilla was also oily and didn’t even stick together. I wouldn’t come back here again.

Minus one star. the girls probably haven’t been trained and don’t frequent places that have great customer service so I don’t blame them .but there’s a guy that works there that flirts with them… at least two of the times I was there and I felt uncomfortable for them. Taqueria Jalapeño…i expected a new taco with jalapeños in it… idk the name tricked me. But i did Love the food! My daughter who is a picky eater ate the meat like it was candy. Salsa… good Guacamole … yummy $ 1 – 2 more They even have those really Mexican meats… I can’t remember what they are. buche? Tripas? Idk but my husband likes them and they have them here. I’m note of a Carne Asada eater. So when the food truck on main and dyer isn’t there… this place is great to fill that taco void. .

Had carne asada tacos with a jamaica. My classic meal — wasn’t disappointed! Tortillas were handmade and delicious.

I tried 3 tacos. The first was the classic Carne asada. Seasoning was pretty good but there were too many fatty pieces. The second was chicken. Seasoning was also good on this one but the texture was a little soggy. The third was the al pastor. I was excited when I saw it spinning topped with pineapple. I guess it’s just for show, marinate on this meat was not very good. Tasted pre made. Customer service wasn’t really there.

This place is conveniently located very close to where I work. Their carne asada is some of the best I’ve ever had. I come here only for that actually hehe. Maybe later on I will try the other meats. I take that back. I tried the crispy shredded beef taco as the carnitas. They’re also great but man that asada is worth the 5 star rating alone. They give free refills with drinks and the girls behind the counter are pretty as well as sweet. The cost of the food is pretty good in my opinion. The guys who cook and serve the meats are really nice too and humble about their cooking. True home grown Mexican chefs with that modest from home attitude. This place truly exemplifies a taqueria that has great food and it’s to the point. No gimmicks and no flashiness. Just what this Mexican food enthusiast likes out of a taqueria. I’m grateful this place opened up. I hope it makes great business and never loses their awesome quality.

The tacos are ok tortillas are hard carne asada meat was good salsa was not good. The girl that took my order forgot my daughter taco. Didn’t say sorry for her error Just ask to see my receipt the guy that was making tacos said out loud there no chicken taco so all ready knew it wasn’t order. This lady that was pregnant was on the phone told the girl to ask her next time if she didn’t know how to do it. The pregnant lady was on the phone talking very loud while we were there eating. So I got up and reorder my child food. Not going back staff didn’t know what to do there was no one in there they were just standing around.

Food is delicious & great location, After my second visit I noticed that they lack better customer service, the cashier does not greet you and do not smile. The burritos taste really good also the tortas, will see if they improve the costumer service…

This place is definitely a must try Mexican Spot. I had a torta de carnitas and it was too bomb. They are not stingy with the meat. I also had one of their tacos dorados, it was very crispy and cheesy, just the way they should be. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Just tried the chorizo tacos and they are great. They change the Aguas daily so you may get something other than fresa(strawberry). This place hasn’t disappointed me yet.

I have been going to their other locations for years as the first one was opened in my home town of Tustin. I recently found out they opened a Taqueria in Santa Ana and thought I would check it out as I love the one in Tustin. Definitely more of a taqueria feel to the place but the quality of food is on point. I work near the area so I will definitely turn my co-workers and friends onto this new location. Also it is family owned and operated so that will always get my vote as I’d rather give my money to a Small Business than a Corporate Chain any day! Good Luck with the new spot.
