Smoothstone Construction & Consulting

My HOA picked Smoothstone Construction company to repair my unit. I called them, nobody answered. I left msg nobody response. I text to cell phone of the employee who works on my condo, he never reply. No way to contact them. They are only care $, they does not care customer. I can only grade 1 star. I wish I can select less than 1 star but 1 star is minimum. Smoothstone Construction Company is not worth even 1 star.

Smoothstone Construction & Consulting, Inc. was contracted to demolish and refinish the outside of our condominium complex, Pheasant Creek. They were replaced by another company.
Smoothstone was scheduled to work on our building for about 30 days in November 2014. The work actually started in mid January 2015 and went on for about 2 ½ months until they just stopped showing up.
Observing the Smoothstone crew, I witnessed excessive damage and a general lack of respect for the residents of this complex and their property. I also heard the crew laughing about the damage and making comments like, «…that is why we charge so much, for sh!+ like that…».
We experienced interior damage to our unit when the drywall was broken through from the outside. The unit next to ours had a bedroom window broken by the crew. The window remained broken for about a week. We had the hole in our wall for about a month. Smoothstone’s eventual solution was to patch the 3 inch hole with plaster and paint just the one wall. The plaster patch-​up was hastily done.
They broke the water faucet on our porch and did eventually fix that.
Besides the damages, the overall work on our unit is sub par and actually appears to be unfinished in many places. Paint spatters on windows and screens; unfinished and peeling paint.
A Smoothstone supervisor told a board member, while on a walk through that someone would show up and do touch ups and finish the job. Never happened.
A very stressful 2 months for our household… Interestingly enough Smoothstone still has Pheasant Creek on their webpage. So if you are considering them, contact Pheasant Creek HOA and see what they have to say.
