I love going to eat here. They have great food and quick service. They use to have tables to sit at, but Health department closed it down. Still great to go eat at the car or home. $ 1 a taco is bomb, and burittos are like $ 5 for one. Still so good and worth it, they pile it up high! I usually get carnitas, carne asada and pollo. My favorite is usually the chicken or the steak.

Tried the marinated beef/pork tacos and they were very flavorful. Would order these again. Ordered a Carne asada burrito and the steak was not very tasty. I would order the burrito again but with a different meat.

Bomb tacos and for a really good price. Workers are super friendly and you can see your food being mad. They are quick with getting your order out.

I couldn’t give it anything less than 5 stars. The tacos here were amazing. The spicy onions? A must. I like spicy and the red sauce with the spicy onions are pretty spicy and give the tacos an awesome kick. I tried asada, al pastor, buche, and lengua. I like the asada and al pastor the best. I can’t wait to come back here and eat some more tacos.

Love to come here once a week. I am big fan of taco and i honestly tried out so many places included restaurant and the truck. This place is one of the most favorited taco truck i ever been. Love the taco by itself with multiple selection specially the beef head and pork marinated. Even though, everytime i come to this truck, i have to wait for at least 30 min, but trust me it will wprth the wait time. The sauce on the other side also are amazing. If you are around this area, give it a try and you will definitely come back every single week just like me.

Always the best, been going here since I lived the apartment complex right by it so for a good 7 ish years I believe. Love the asada, lengua and chicharon! Have yet to try adobada or carnitas! I am crazy about those red spicy onions though!

Bomb tacos for $ 1 each. The salsas are yummy and super spicy. They are open late everyday. You can easily spot this taco truck. Downside is there’s always a long line and they no longer have the benches to eat so you either take them to go or eat in your car. Also not alot of parking either. This is our go to spot! Side note: I would of gave 5 stars but they no longer have the benches.

OMG one of the BEST tacos I’ve ever had.(And I’ve had a LOT of tacos.) Randomly found out about this place on Instagram. My beau and I just had Taco Tuesday but hey, Taco Thursday works too.(I love tacos!) We decided to go here for dinner since the pictures looked so good and there were good reviews on Unilocal.BESTDECISIONEVER!!! We got there at around 7:30, and there was a long line. Parking wasn’t too bad. We parked on the street. The line moved pretty quickly too. I think we waited less than 5 minutes to put out order in. And then about another 5 to get our food. We got 3 asada, 2 adobada, and 1 of each of birria, cabeza, and chicharron. All were only $ 1 each, for $ 8 total(cash only). After you get your food, you can go to the side and get toppings. Toppings were: onions, cilantro, cabbage, 1 green salsa, 2 red salsas, and pickled onions. I highly recommend the pickled onions. They’re similar to kimchi, I think. They’re pretty spicy though so I’d stay away if you can’t handle spicy food. Anyway, we actually requested to have ours«to go»(in quotations because there’s no seatings so technically they’re all to go) so they put foil wrapping on our plates and already added most of the toppings for us. We added onions and pickled onions. We also got the red and green salsas too but didn’t end up using it. The tacos were already pretty spicy. The only con was that we didn’t know which was which(except for the asada because we ordered 3 of those). They were all delicious so it didn’t matter anyway. New favorite taco place in OC, for sure!!!

My #1 go to tacos place! Although, there is a long line at night, it is so worth the wait. The prices went up by a little throughout the years. Regardless, I love their tacos! The stand is usually there around 3:45ish PM. My usual would be 3 carne asada and 2 pollo tacos. I like to order togo and bring it home. The spicy onions with the tacos is a must! I’m not a fan of the hot salsa, but I usually eat my tacos at home with Tapatio sauce or Tabanero sauce. Parking is either in the propane lot or on the side. They mess up my order a couple times, but it’s okay, I still love it. Come early if you want to better parking and less wait time!

I’ve been coming here when I was little and the tacos were $.50 each. There’s a reason why I always come back. I absolutely love this taco truck. There’s always a line after 7 but definitely worth the wait! Whether it’s dinner or last night post drinking meal it’s a great stop. Most of their tacos are a $ 1 each so you can’t beat that.

HOTSAUCE. ONIONS. HOTSAUCE. ONIONS. HOTSAUCE. ONIONS. YEEEEESSS! Please do yourself a favor and put these bad boys on when you get your tacos. Most of the tacos here are $ 1 each flat(no tax, yes!) I usually just get the adobada and asada taco(I’m pretty basic). But basic is good and I haven’t had a problem, so why change something that hasn’t been broken? The taco stand/truck is in a neighborhod on First in-between Newhope and Harbor(closer to Harbor). Don’t be alarmed! It may sound sketch that you’re getting tacos from a cart in Santa Ana, but I promise that it’s in the better part of town(I grew up not too far from here)! The cashier usually knows English but those who are working on making your tacos calls out your numbers in Spanish. I hope you know your 1, 2, 3s! Once they give you your tacos, it’s just tortilla and meat. You put all the toppings on yourself in a little salsa bar next to the truck. Here you will find cabbage, cilantro, white onions, 3 types of salsa and the picked onions(reddish color). PUTEVERYTHINGON! Unless you can’t handle hot sauce, then I feel bad for you. Beware of the hot sauce in the small container, that is FIRE(meaning it’s bomb tasting and it’s about to be LIT. meaning your mouth). BUTDOPUTITON! Try little at a time to know how much you can handle so you can still enjoy your tacos. The spiciest hot sauce is my favorite one here. My friend puts a whole ladle of it on his taco and I enjoy watching him suffer after!

The best Mexican food away from San Diego that I have had. They have a full selection of meats and their salsa is super tasty. I really like that they keep their super spicy salsa separately. Don’t miss out on the pickled onions, they are awesome with the food. The adobada(similar to al pastor) was brilliant, my friend also really liked the birria. I also tried the asada and the carnitas. They were pretty good too. Don’t forget to try the drinks too while you are at it. Prices are the cheapest I have seen, although given that it’s a food truck, it’s to be expected. Most value for money place I know of in OC. We had to wait about 30 mins. There is parking nearby and a seating area.

Rigoberto’s…yet another stop on one of Andrew K’s epic taco crawls. Easy to find, parked just off West 1st St. and South Mountain, this little taco trailer’s certainly acquired a passionate fanbase: the line, snaking around the parking lot, is unlike any I’ve seen on past crawls. And this is why: Rigobertos delivers such a tantalizing assembly of $ 1 tacos – from Tripas, Sesos, and Lengua; to Birria, Chorizo, and Chicharron – that hungry followers are more than willing to exercise a little patience. But wait! The list doesn’t end there! Buche, Adobada, and, everyone’s favorite, Asada, also top the charts. There’s just so much to choose from, and for a buck, who can stop at just one, right? Case in point: Tripas, Asada, Pollo, Chorizo, and Chicharron tacos, plated together in perfect harmony, made for a tasty beginning(and ending) to our personal Saturday night crawl.(I was too full to continue.) What’s also extra convenient about Rigobertos is that tables, chairs, and heat lamps are made available to their customers; and there’s also a security guard helping out with parking. That’s something you just don’t find at many trucks. Ease, comfortability, and satisfaction. On your next crawl, let Rigobertos knock a few out for you.

I love the tacos here!!! I’m not sure if it’s the same one as the one that used to be here, but the tacos taste just as good, though I think they raised the price to like $ 1.50 for some of them. The tacos are amazing, and I usually let them make it with all the fixings, and then I add the super spicy salsa to it that makes the whole thing taste amazing! The place is located near what look like a propane shop or something and there are usually like 7 parking spots at that actual shop. It is across the street from that Newport Seafood place. There is a caged our area where you can sit down and eat, and there is a water faucet like area in the back that you can wash your hands with, bough there are warnings not to drink that water. There’s usually a decent line of like 6 people when I go, but it moves pretty fast and I get my food in a reasonable amount of time.

The tacos made from inside this camper converted taco truck — which is parked on the corner of S. Mountainview Street and 1st Avenue in an empty lot everyday starting from 3:45pm up until 2am — are some of the tastiest and juiciest in Santa Ana, which is home to many of the best taquerias and finest Mexican food in all of Orange County. There is not a bad choice of meats. I liked all the options with birria de res, carnitas, lengua, asada and tripas my personal favorites. The meats are all tender, juicy and seasoned perfectly: infused with big flavors without being super salty. Tripas(beef intestines) is what they are especially known for and widely recognized for preparing it the best. Ask to have it fried extra crispy and then load it with toppings for a real savory, crunchy bite. Meat fillings include fifteen stellar options, a good number of choices you would normally not find offered at taco truck. The choices include birra(marinated beef), asada(beef steak), buche(pork maws), pollo(chicken), cabeza(beef head), cueros(pork skins), adobada(marinated pork) carnitas(fried pork), chorizo(Mexican sausage) and chicharron(fried pork skins) are all only $ 1 on a taco. Tripas, sesos(beef brains), lengua(beef tongue), suadero(roasted beef flank) and cecina(cured beef) are $ 1.50 per taco. In addition to being super cheap and tasty, the tacos(traditionally Mexican street style) are deceptively hearty. That is because they pile on the meats on each taco and then you can top them with your favorite salsas and garnishes at the salsa bar cart right in front of the camper. You will find red salsa(salsa roja), green salsa(salsa verde), roasted tomato salsa(salsa quemada) chopped cilantro, diced onions, chopped cabbage and some amazingly delicious spicy pickled red onions in the trays. The spicy pickled red onions are a must with the tacos and goes particularly well with the tripas and other offal meats because it gives an added sharp texture, astringency, sweetness and a real zesty kick that compliments the meat. Burritos and tortas are also on the menu for $ 4. They are a dollar more if you want either filled with their prized tripas($ 5). Canned sodas are $ 1. They also have Jarritos, sangria and horchata for $ 1.50. There is a fenced outdoor dining area that they promptly open and relock around its business hours. It is complete with a number of round tables you were used to seeing in elementary school cafeterias or mess halls, along with plenty of outdoor lighting when it gets dark and a heat lamp that switches on when it gets chilly. Seating is limited, however, during the evening hours as the lines pick up. Expect huge lines and long waits on Fridays and throughout the weekends. There may be a myriad of top choices for tacos in Santa Ana and Rigobertos definitely deserves to be mentioned among them. But I would not just limit them as a top choice for tacos. Those looking for a good local cheap eats or late night dining spot should plan a visit to Rigobertos. I can promise many return visits thereafter. CASHONLY

My little cousin took me here to try this«famous» taco stand he’s been to. He states it opens up at 5:30pm EVERYDAY. We got there at 5:4pm and there was already a decent line. I order asada and aboda tacos. Loved how they use cabbage versus just onions and cilantro. Moist and tasty meat. Adobe was a little to spicy, but plus side that was moist. If I’m in town, I would definitely come here again!

If you’re a proper food truck with real food that survives on its taste alone and doesn’t need hype to live, then you get 5 stars. This ain’t no deluxe designer gourmet $ 3 taco or $ 8 burrito bs. This is the real deal and I don’t need no stinkin’ hoopla to tell me that this sh*t is GOOD. Street tacos. Tortilla and meat. You put your own damn toppings on, and I like it that way. Green or Red Salsas available along with chopped onions, cilantro, and some amazingly pickled slivered onions. Eat them. Eat them now! $ 1 tacos. Yeah, that’s right. You heard me. One dolla make you holla. And they are worth every penny. $ 5 burritos and these things are BIG. You are going to struggle to wrap your lips around these babies.(That’s what he said. har har) Tortillas were warm, soft, and fragrant. Carne Asada tacos were tender, flavorful and not fatty. Definitely a winner. Pollo tacos were soooo good! I’d order these again in a heartbeat. Lengua tacos were also tender, but not my favorite. A bit heavy. Tripas were good but mushy, Ill request extra crispy next time(because you can). Carne Asada burrito came with rice and beans standard and this thing looked like what a burrito would look like if a burrito could take steroids. You have the option to order«all meat» and I will when I come back, which will be much sooner than medically advisable, and I will also consume far more than what would be medically advisable. Take THAT, insurance premium! Tables to sit on. Really powerful lighting that make for pretty decent photos. Fast service. Clean salsa station. Bootleg DVDs in the parking lot for sale by completely unaffiliated parties.

I got the Birria Burrito with no beans. No drinks, and I paid $ 5 total. Time: around 7pm on a Monday. There were no lines at all. Birria is shredded or chopped stewed beef, so the meat was very tender and moist. It was complimented with moist rice, onions, cilantro, and green hot sauce. The tortilla was not too soft or too firm. I will definitely come back for the Birria it was full of flavor. At the time I went there were no lines. I got my food in about 3 minutes, and there was plenty of places to seat. The parking wasn’t very good, we had to park on the side against some fences. Update: came back here and got the pollo and carnitas tacos. It was really really bad. The carnitas was old and dry. The tortilla was different somehow.

This is my favorite taco truck. They have good affordable, authentic tacos. The more common cuts of meat are $ 1.00 that includes asada, carnitas, and birria. The $ 1.50 tacos are tripas, sesos, and one or two other types that I don’t recall. All the tacos I have tried were well seasoned — I have tried nearly everything that is a dollar. Each taco shell is packed with food. Warning: the lines can get long about 30 minute wait. They are typically there after 3PM and stay pretty late. I’ve brought tacos there at 10−11PM before.

$ 1 tacos! Yay!!! :) They’re not the best tacos. But for $ 1 they’re pretty darn good! I had their Asada and Suadero tacos. They where pretty good. Their Suadero tacos are similar to «al pastor tacos» except that al pastor tacos taste better. So if you’re expecting the same taste you will not be satisfied with them. Since Suadero and Al pastor are prepared differently. Their red salsa is really spicy. When I go back I’ll be trying their Lengua and tripas tacos. :)
