Do you need to have your eyes examined? Well, i you poke yourself in the eye with a sharp stick (or in my case a straw) and your urgent care doc tells you to get yourself checked out, then I guess you do. I did a quick Unilocal search for local providers and was able to make a same day appointment.
The doc was nice and thorough. He did the exam and told me that I would be OK, to come back if things did not resolve themselves by themselves. It was nice to have a straightforward assessment and no «come back in a week to see how you are» when it was not required.

Dr. Lappin has seen me for four really serious eye inflamations over the past sixteen years, with the most recent visit in October of 2013. My experience has been absolutely positive. He takes VERY specific notes, and he READS these historical notes, in their entirety, every time my problem recurs. Today, he asked questions based on really pertinent medical history I gave him on my first visit in 1998 (and which I didn’t think to repeat today). He LISTENS, and he COMMUNICATES. You don’t leave wondering if he really heard you and thought through your case.
