Just went through the drive-thru on our way out of town. In desperate need of a greasy breakfast burrito. Drive thru wait was kind of long but since this isn’t a regular chain and they make their food hot and fresh, I’ll let it slide. Thought it was odd that they didn’t have a breakfast burrito with chorizo on the menu — so I added it to their eggs, cheese, and salsa burrito. It was greasy greasy chorizo goodness. Excellent meat to egg ratio and the pico added a little extra kick. Enormous but I put it down with ease. Again super greasy. Tried it with both their green And red sauce – salsas were nothing spesh. The hubs ordered bacon, egg, cheese, and potato. And as usual, wished he would have let me order his burrito for him. He knows nothing of burritos of the breakfast. The verde helped this guy out a lot.

Especially with so many alternatives with excellent Mexican food available all over Santa Ana, I’d definitely avoid this place. My fiancé and I gave it a chance due to the late night drive through, and we got insane food poisoning — doctor says it’s likely salmonella, still waiting on confirmation. But if you’re into that kind of thing, Adalbertos won’t let you down.

This place is pretty good. I usually get the Carne Asada Burrito, Bean and Cheese and Taquitos for me and my wife. I’ve had the Nachos and Chicken Tacos too. Everything is good. You will like it. Customer service is good too.

food was flavorless and sauces were too runny. Del Taco has more flavor than these tacos.

I wasn’t feeling too hot one night but I was craving bad for your health Mexican food(probably not the best idea with a tummy ache, but whatevs!) I wanted to try this place because 1. It was close to home and 2. It has a drive thru. Who doesn’t love drive thrus! I would say this is mediocre bad for your health Mexican food. Nothing to rave about. I got the chorizo and egg plate($ 7) it comes with rice and beans. This dish wasn’t too bad. The rice was just Mexican rice and the beans were refried. But the chorizo was quite flavorful and yummy. It was huge, I would have been fine with just this order but when I was ordering I was also craving a quesadilla so I got the plain one($ 3.50). I didn’t like it. The cheese tasted like plastic. It was also really big but it didn’t meet my standards for a quesadilla so I wouldn’t get it again. The chorizo plate I would get again though. The lady gave me the red and green sauce. They both tasted like water. I had to add my own hot sauce when I got home. But she was really nice so the staff was on point even when I was taking a long time deciding what to order ;) They also have a wide variety of burritos, plates, quesadillas, tacos etc. The food here wasn’t disgusting, but it wasn’t a place to crave again. However, it is close to my house, so I would come back and NOT get a quesadilla. I would like to try the burritos, especially the Cali one! The items are huge so that’s always a plus! It also says 24 hour drive thru, so if that’s legit(reading the other reviews I’m doubting it’s true) but it it’s true this will be my go to drunk food place since it’s so close to home! Stop by on the way home, hellll ya!

Carne asada fries. Added beans and sour cream. Red sauce. Bomb. I’m a pretty big guy and I could not finish the fries. Also they are the thin style fries which I really like. Came in today for the first time and i will definitely be back.

A big banner out front advertised that they serve breakfast so I gave them a try. I ordered the chilaquiles. When I opened the styrafoam box, I felt immediately disappointed because it looked awful. It was a jumbled mess of rice, beans and chips. The taste was not any better. It was overly spicy and had no redeeming qualities. It lacked the flavor of egg and meat. It lacked the bite of the tortilla. It felt like eating slop. Maybe I should have ordered a burrito instead?

Two words — Carnitas Torta… You’re welcome! Soft roll with tender carnitas, beans, guacamole, lettuce and tomato. It’s delicious and its huge! I’ve ordered the same thing other places and this is the best, hands down! Try it, you won’t be disappointed!

I’ve been here twice, and both times the food was inexcusably horrible. The only reason I gave it a second shot is because the location is very convenient, and the chip bar is a novelty to me. I figured maybe it was a bad burrito, or just an off day, or whatever. Nope, second time was just as bad. Dry, flavorless meat that seems to have been sitting in a pool of water before being smushed into a burrito. Red salsa with less flavor than ketchup(not exaggerating) is the only available condiment for the salsa bar. The only passable item of all the things I tried was the tres leches cake, which was decent, but obviously prepackaged and resold.

Food is mediocre taco shop food. Not bad, just nothing special. The sign advertises 24 hour driver through, but ive tried to go a few times at 1am for drunk food and theyre always closed. Very disappointing.

Surprisingly Great late night spot! not to be confused with Albertos; this place has some great tacos! the Horchata was good also, a bit too much cinnamon for my taste but otherwise delicious.

I grew up going to the one in San Diego, so I was so excited that this one opened up! The owners are so nice and the food never disappoints! Rolled tacos and a carnitas taco are my all time favorites, but the carne asada fries, nachos, and chicken tacos are also amaze! Also free chips and salsa inside! Whoop!

Their California burrito is amazing and the people working there are really nice. I will be back and I’m looking forward to trying the rest of their menu.

Coming from San Diego, you get spoiled with great Mexican food and extremely picky when you go to places outside of SD. When we moved to OC, we were worried that we wouldn’t find a place up to our SD standards, but this place has it. California burritos, rolled tacos, all similar to SD style. We’ve found our go to taco spot. Highly recommended!

I always get the 3 leches cake which is AMaZiNG!!! Definitely a must have if you come to this place. Also the breakfast burrito egg, bacon, potato and cheese is really good too! I get extra meat and cheese as well BC it won’t be enough otherwise. if they see you tip an extra $, they will make it extra delicious is what i noticed :) I would definitely recommend this place if your looking for a good drive through Mexican food place. Overall I’d give this place a 3.5 out of 5… I’ve been to better Mexican food places but this one is not bad at all!!!

I come here almost every Saturday for breakfast burritos, Every time it is awesome until today. I’m sharing my burrito with my kid when I take a bite into it and bit into something hard, and pulled a toothpick out of my mouth… I called to complain and ask them to be careful, and they didn’t understand that there was a toothpick in my food, the phone was handed off several times until someone asked me if I wanted more burritos… But still didn’t understand that there was a toothpick inside my food and I bit into it! Regardless of how good food is, once I find a foreign object in my food, it’s a deal breaker.

Carne asada fries are just mediocre here. It’s not as good as some other establishments such as Albatras or even some Albertos. Their red sauce is watered down and the green sauce tastes funky. Three rolled tacos w/guac was a little better than the carne asada fries. But the tortilla wasn’t too crunchy which makes them not all that enjoyable :( Chips are free and self serve!

— Locale Destination — It’s on N Tustin Ave and Franzen Ave in Santa Ana. It’s in a little shopping plaza. It has a drive through. Credit card friendly. It had both inside and outside seating. Very casual quick service place. The staff are super friendly. — Gluttony Expedition — Breakfast burrito — all day! Cheese quesadilla: Big! I think it was a 12 inch tortilla. It’s simply folded with lots of cheese — without cut! Gigantic big piece of quesadilla. $ 3. California burrito: Big & fat chunk of carne Asada, French fries, guacamole, salsa, and sour cream in the enormous burrito. Good, but somehow it was not as good as the one in San Diego… $ 6.50 with everything($ 5.50 or so for regular. I guess sour cream is the extra $ 1, but you must have it.). It’s a lot bigger than my palm size. Even half size makes you full! Red sauce: It’s a bit different from the one in SD. It was very light. Not bad. — Conqueror’s Deduction — I was so excited to see this restaurant in Tustin — because I always visit this restaurant in San Diego for their California burrito — every time I visit San Diego for years. It was good but not so as good as the one in SD… ;(

I gave Adalberto’s 3 tries before writing this review and I’ve come to one conclusion: This place is the epitome of mediocre Mexican food. I tried 3 types of meat here(asada, chicken, carnitas) and I ordered their tortas, tacos, and wet burrito. Without exception, everything I ordered was«meh». With the plethora of other Mexican food joints close by, Adalbertos really needs to step it up or they will end up like their predecessor, El Conejo(which I predicted would eventually disappear because of their food going down in quality). The flavoring and spices used here are just OFF. The cuts of meat I’ve had here were just super plain. I can tell when a restaurant cuts corners or doesn’t know how to prepare their meats correctly. I really wanted to like this place because it’s super close to my home. But guess what else is also close to my home? That’s right, Carnitas Los Reyes, Taqueria De Anda, Tacos Sinaloa, and El Ensenada… all places that simply SLICEUP Adalbertos in the tasting department just like Wolverine slices up Sabertooth in their epic Comic book battles. On a positive tip, the people behind the counter were friendly and knew how to smile. This place also has a drive-through, so that’s great when you’re on the go. But as far as I go, I’m done with this place, there is just way too much competition between Mexican food places in this area and this place comes up short.
