99 Cent Store

What’s there to say. It’s a standard 99 cent Only Store. I know what to expect and It’s neither the best store ever, nor the worst.
This Store is actually kept fairly clean and orderly. And if you’ve been to one of these stores then you know EXACTLY what I’m talking about. I usually come here during my lunch to pick up some Peanuts. They have these salted Peanuts that you just can’t go wrong with. Problem is,…that I almost always end up buying more. And it’s that sort of thing when you tell yourself, «Hey it’s only 99 Cents right??». Then by the time you’re in line to check out you end up with $ 50 bucks worth of 99 Cent items haha
My only complaint is that there never seems to be enough cashiers during my lunchtime visit. It’s usually only 2. Maybe they think that they won’t be busy during the day during the week, but it seems like they are to me. Oh and one last thing. This particular location is in the heart of Santa Ana. So don’t be surprised with all the kids running around, playing with toys, and just being annoying in general.

I love that they have such a vast variety of all sorts of things; however, their staff can definitely use a customer service training 101. A cashier (Karen) is extremely rude, unprofessional and ghetto. She didn’t have the courtesy to acknowledge me (not even to tell me the total amount due) because she was too busy talking to another worker about smoking weed after their shift and she called him a «pussy» in front of all the customers waiting in line. Definitely not going to that location again.

This 99 cent store is fairly clean. I love coming in for toilet paper, candy and candles. They are always stocked with different things. They have a lot of Halloween things in the store already and it’s only September! Awesome!

Pretty ghetto, even in the commercial stylism of the 99 cents only store chains… BUT, when my local 99 cents only stores run out of favored items (such as Lion Brand Yarn in specific colors when knitting a baby blanket), or certain health food items (snickers marathon bars in specific flavors), I can generally find these items here… As the locals may say…“Interesante”

I often find things here like Sara Lee flat buns or packages of 8 bagles vs the regular 99cent store 6 bagels at this location that I can’t find at other 99 cent store locations. The freezer/​fridge section is lacking and there is no «produce» area here. Lots of junk food and salty snacks and condiments. But I would go here for the Blockbuster Kiosk, bread and theater box size candy. Located near a El Super.
