Very cute little plaza with unique gift shops.
There is a public bathroom which is an awesome place to change out of a wet swimsuit after a day on the beach. They also offer free Wi-​Fi.
My favourite store in Perriwinkle Place is Butterfly Beach, which has a great selection of beach wear for men and women.

Sanibel is simply not cheap when it comes to dining. However, when shopping is concerned, Periwinkle Place was beyond affordable!
We were there over Labor Day weekend and took advantage of the sidewalk sale. Even items that weren’t on sale were reasonably priced for a place that attracts a lot of tourists. I purchased three pairs of sunglasses at $ 8 each, two bracelets for $ 14 each, two purses (one was $ 17, the other was $ 14), and earrings for $ 9 and $ 8. None of these items were on sale!
I visited another shopping village over on the corner of Tarpon Bay Rd and Periwinkle (where Island Paws and the Over Easy Café are located). There, you’ll find much higher prices at the boutiques for similar items. Patronize all of the local businesses, but note that you’ll pay less at Periwinkle Place.
