Visiting the island and too sun burndt to enjoy the beach. Found this place listed on Unilocal with great reviews. It’s located behind the gift shop, the employees are super helpful and genuine. Rented two bikes for 4 hours for less than $ 20. My son got the beach cruiser and mine was a cross over. The trails in the area are pretty, easy, and relaxing. We stopped at a few local places on the route. Highly recommend Bennetts coffee shop at the beginning of the island.

Rented several bikes and a trailer for our daughter. Felt like they were doing us a favor by renting to us. Employees busy talking with each other or surfing on their smartphones. Several other customers looking at each other with bewildered looks in their faces. Old, rusted equipment in dire need of repair. Saw a number of quite nice Finnemore bikes being ridden around the island. We waited until Monday to rent, so maybe all the nice bikes were taken?
Few helmets to choose from. A large bin of returned helmets that we were told we could use if we sprayed with lice control. Staff too busy to do it.

What a fustercluck of a place. No bikes, no help, and two clueless guys running around. We were directed by the rude staff inside to go out to the ‘find some help and a bike then come back’ what the hell– get organized. We stood around with 5 other groups outside waiting for help then just left. Went to Billy’s and in and out in 10 min. Plenty of friendly staff there. Avoid this place.

This is a hidden gem. Prices lower than anyone else. Rent by 4 hour period for $ 11. What a steal. There are tons of paths around the shop to ride on. I got a bike with a kids seat for my four year old daughter that fit over the back wheel for no additional charge. You can ride to the lighthouse and pier or you can adventure through Ding Darling wildlife refuge. You can check out the local neighborhoods and coastlines. Location was great. Service was great. People were friendly. This is a place the locals go.

Excellent customer service! We own property here and have our own bikes but we have company all the time who need them. This is our go-​to bike rental for our friends and family. Its very convenient and centrally located. They always help me with my bike too… extra air or oil on my chain… very nice and cheaper than the «other» place. Finnimores has newer and cleaner bikes. Way better tune ups too… the other place put my front tire back on in reverse and my friends bike… DID NOT tighten the handle bar stem after a tune up, it fell off while he immediately rode it after the TU… and he broke his wrist then «they“claimed they had not done this… rotten service, will only use Finnimores for ALL service on our bikes from now on.
Definitely recommend this place!

Great customer service! We rented paddle boards and a bike big enough to fit our whole family. The equipment was well maintained, but their customer service was over the top. They even let us borrow a bike to ride back to get my purse I left behind 3 miles away. We will use Finnimore’s every time we come to the island!

A great place for bicycle rentals! On a very busy weekend they took care of us promptly, provided good quality bicycles with extras like helmets and locks at a reasonable price, and delivered them to our rental condo with impressive promptness. And everyone was very pleasant. Highly recommended!

We’ve been renting bikes from Finnemores for years, and we’ve been really pleased with the quality of their equipment and their service. We had issues with other cycle companies on the island — broken bikes, locks that didn’t work, so we decided to give them a go. They are always very nice and helpful, and they even pick up the bikes at the end of our vacation right from our hotel. The bikes always work well and are easy to ride. Can’t ask for more.

Rented two single kayaks upon recommendation from one of their employees I talked to in town. They delivered to condo on sanibel and brought them to the beach for me. A little pricey for a day rental but my son and I had a memorable experience kayaking out from the beaches at sanibel. They also provided me with life jackets, chain to lock up, and paddles. When I come back I will definitely rent from them again but for a whole week.

There are two bike rental shops on the island. Finnimore’s is unfortunately not the first one that you see once you are on the island. With that they are a little bit further, but they are actually more central. The bikes they had were newer, and they had the one that i wanted which was three wheels. I wanted one with a bigger basket for beach stuff and my my dog. They had that and it was an exceptional price. I know I spent a lot less at Finnimore’s than I would at the other place. We paid for 4 hours from the afternoon time. They close at 4, and they said that we can return the bikes as long as it is before dusk bc it gets dark. You drop your keys in the key box and leave the bikes locked together in front. So perfect an easy. Glad we went with them. We had a lot of fun.

Rented beach umbrellas and beach chairs. Nice people. Good equipment. Nice tilting 8 – 9 foot umbrella.
