I drove an hour to get there and when I arrived it was closed down. Looks like it has been closed for awhile. I’ve taken several kids to Whispering Waters and every time they get hooked on fishing. Those days are over. Sorry to see it go. Unilocal needs to update their files on this one.

Great lazy fishing place to take kids. Not crowded. No license needed. Quiet and lots of fish for kids to watch. Owner very pleasant and laid back.

I remember my dad used to bring us here as kids. I caught my first fish here. It’s a great place to bring the kids, and create some priceless memories. This place is a private fishing spot that you pay to fish. It’s a lil pricey but well worth it! It’s looks like its family owned and operated. I’d recommend to anyone that want a fishing experince!

Wasted $ 15.00 and after 3 hours we didn’t catch a single fish. We were told they had just stocked the ponds the day before but not even a nibble.

My husband and I took our two kids(5&2) out to whispering waters today. We had a great time! This was my first time, my husband went a lot as a kid. We were disappointed that they no longer have the trout pond. But, the owner told us the reason they don’t have it is because of PG&E removing so many of their shade trees and rendering the pond too hot for trout. I was surprised by how much it cost, $ 15 for adults $ 10 for kids, but they were super nice and let our 5 year old who wanted«fish»(read: play in the dirt), fish for free. The only fish they have are catfish, but we caught a huge one fairly quickly which was fun for our kids(read: the boy loved it, the girl thought it was going to murder her for her stick). I have been fishing all my life and you can go day after day and not catch a thing, and other days catch your limit. So, we definitely appreciated the relatively guaranteed catch, since we were there for our kids. The fact that its only catch and release now is kind of a bummer, but hopefully that will change back in the future. All in all we had a great time!

This place provided one of the best experiences my nephew has ever had in his life. He is 11 years old and he has a blast every time he goes! This environment is perfect for people of all ages and he said today that this venue is offering«catch and release» for the rest of 2013. For an amazing fishing experience at any skill level — try here first — you will not be disappointed!(Written on behalf of Dave)

I went there with my daughter for Father’s Day, 2013. I am a very infrequent fisher, and went accepting that this would be to real fishing what an amusement park mechanical bull is to real bull riding. But, apparently the owners have changed their business model this year. Before, one had to keep and pay for all fish one caught. From what others told me, catching fish was pretty much a sure thing. Now they are charging at the gate; $ 15 for adults and $ 10 for kids. It’s a good thing Mom didn’t come, since she just wanted to watch. We were there for an hour and a half and caught nothing. The owner was kind, outgoing, and easy to draw into conversation. I appreciate what he is trying to do with a business that has been in his family for 50 years. However, I could have drowned worms with my daughter for an hour and a half more economically and with equal satisfaction at a number of other nearby locations.

Whispering Waters has been a great place to take my grandchildren for their first fishing experience! It’s convenient, and family friendly. I’ll be bringing my two grand daughters, ages 6&4 in two weeks for their first fishing experience with«Papa»! Dr. «R» Fresno, Ca.
