Okay let me start off by saying that I waited for about 45 minutes for a refill on my soda, I actually walked up and refilled myself. Waitress was very friendly but seemed overwhelmed. Now let’s talk about the food… I had the New York steak Diana, the steak was amazing! Mushrooms glazed on top, mashed potatoes and steamed veggies. Mmmm!!! Very good steak and grilled to perfection.

Let’s make it clear. Our group didn’t actually eat here. The low review is due to the aesthetic and the owners strange behavior. 2 friends and I were trying to find a restaurant that’s actually open on Mondays in Sanger, and stumbled across Fermin’s. The Schoolhouse is always closed, and that’s the only mediocre-ish place nearby. So I called to see if they were open. More on that later… We drove up, and my friend said«We are going to get sick here» after looking at the shabby décor and dirty façade. I had previously called to ask how late they were open, at 7pm, and the chef said«Don’t worry, I’ll stay open for you.» After we decided not to eat there, he called me from caller ID begging me to come back. I might have actually given the place a chance, but with the combo of the sickly 80s décor and decrepit building; mixed with the stalker owner. I’ll never go there. This place is beyond help and won’t be open next year.

Fermin’s Steakhouse always more than a five start rating. It’s well worth the drive to Sanger; it’s like the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Everything is cooked to perfection and the menu has a nice variety that if you come as group everyone will have a choice from seafood, Italian, to the best steaks. The portions are large enough to share or better yet enjoy the next day at home with you glass of you favorite wine. Run don’t walk to Fermin’s Steakhouse.

Keep an eye out in this place. Things they are a changing. New chef, updated menu, new staff. Sneak peek… A salad wedge. Yeah!!! And a filet. Went 9÷28÷15 and noticed things were different. Was told about some changes. Sounds good. I always liked this place, betters good too.

My wife and I must be the luckiest people. Since 2013 we have only been back twice(mainly because of the bad reviews), and every time we just love this place! Today we had chicken parmigiana(which as an Italian I am very fussy about) and steak kebobs for lunch and the plates were absolutely wonderful! The chicken parmigiana was excellent – crispy, yet moist and tender; sauce was simple, but excellent) – even the bread served was excellent! The place was rather empty, but our waitress was attentive and pleasant. With the bad reviews, we just don’t know what this place is doing wrong, but every time we come we enjoy ourselves and the food has always been great!

Where do I start… this place takes the cake for bad restaurant experiences. It’s fathers day and they had a buffet but there was no food for the entire 2 hours I was there. I had chips, beans and rice… there was no tamales no meats no nothing… There was 12 of us and most of us ordered sandwiches and salads, it took them almost 2 hours to give us our food and there was maybe 2 other couples in the restaurant… I received maybe 2 refills in 2 hours. The waitress spent most of the time standing at the bar doodling on paper and chatting about who knows what… we all needed refills so we would make loud slurping noises together and they still didnt tend to us. My friend ordered a French dip and the bread was soggy and falling apart the second he got it. My girlfriend ordered a chicken ceasar salad and the plate was scalding hot for some reason… the only person in our group that enjoyed the meal had ribs and he only got 4 tiny ribs… I will never go back to this place! Ever ever ever!

Wanting to try something new, I decided to give this place here a try. I came in a very good mood; however, that all changed when I was immediately greated with snobby attitude from the staff. It actually made me feel a little bit uncomfortable. I was ignored several times when I politely asked for a refill on my iced tea. And when I did get a refill, my entire cup was filled with a negligible amount of tea and filled to the very top with ice. If anything, the staff were more interested in chatting up with their friends who came in before me. They even walked along the far side of the restaurant to purposely avoid me whenever I tried to place my order. I also don’t see a clear reason why the chef had posted up of his 2 credits he received from culinary school. I thought it was very tacky and a bit unsettling considering 2 credits is one college class, at least it is in some college campuses. Overall I did not enjoy my experience. I will not be returning.

Lived in Sanger for 8 years now and always enjoy this restaurant. I had a steak last month when I brought my sister visiting from out of town. Wonderful food and attentive service. Yesterday I went back on my own to enjoy the Lasagna that my sister had last month, it was awesome. Large tasty salad and warm fresh bread. They dimmed the lights just after dark and it all looked very inviting. Sanger residents I am surprised you drive out of town. My visit to our other area steakhouse has never been as good of food as this one. Yes, I will be back again and again.

Had a really poor experience here last night. Large party(40?) and half the food was cold. Service staff was rude. From the looks of the reviews and people I have talked to this may have an issue with a large party but won’t be back to try again. There’s no reason for the service staff to be rude.

Tasteless food, fairly expensive. You may have to drive a bit, but there are much better places around. I think they only stay in business because there are so few restaurants in Sanger.

My experience only has to do with a party we attended. I was very impressed with the level of table service. Our waitress Jessa was awesome. She kept our drinks full the entire party The food was surprisingly good. I was really impressed. Fermine’s did an awesome job hosting the party.

If I could give a place no stars this would be it! Went here with a party of 12 last night for my fiancée’s bday/nye dinner. When my friend called to make the reservations she was told they would have their regular menu with no price adjustments. We got there and they were not hosting their regular menu, they had a one page dinner menu with about a $ 2 price increase. The waitress had to ask«the chef» if we could order appetizers from the regular menu(the one page menu was dinner only) The appetizers were decent. I asked our waitress what kind of white wine they had and her response was«I don’t know, I’m not a wino» REALLY! I didn’t know that enjoying a glass if wine with food and friends made me a wino! It took about an hour and half before someone took our food order and the restaurant was no where near busy. The waitress that took our order was a different person then the wino chick and she was completely clueless about the 7 items they had on their special menu! My friend and I ordered the same steak. I ordered mine medium rare, she ordered hers medium. When our food was being brought to the table a different waitress was helping our food order waitress bring it out, she called the steak out and I said we had 2. Which one is medium rare? She said ummmmmm and the food order waitress interrupted and said I guarantee they r cooked the same… Again…REALLY! ! Waiting over 2 hours to get the food to begin with i wasnt going to send it back… and it was cooked medium. There was pretty much nothing but fat on it. The meat that was there was so tough that my mouth starting hurting from chewing so much! The meal came with mashed potatoes that tasted like they were fresh out of the box. Worst mashed potatoes i have ever had. Another person in our party ordered prime rib and had to sent it back cuz it was SO rare that it was still moo-ing. The food sucked, the service sucked, the waitresses were clueless and the place is not cheap! Living in Sanger and not having many local restaurant options I was hoping for more. If this place is still around in 6 months I will be amazed! Worst $ 100 I ever spent in my life!

As much as I hate to dissuade someone from going to a local business, I can’t in good conscience recommend this place to anyone. My visit was on a Sunday for the buffet. This was my very first(and last) visit here and before I took a single bite I FOUND A LONG, BLACKHAIRCOOKEDINTOTHERICE. We told the waitress, and she took my plate but no one came out to change the rice. My husband suggested we leave, and I should have agreed, but I didn’t and we stayed. I ordered pancakes and when the waitress brought over the syrup bottle, it was covered in syrup, meaning they never wipe it down. If they’re not wiping down something they give to customers, what else are they not cleaning that customers never see? That was definitely strike two. I was hoping we would get some sort of apology from management for the hair, or maybe our drinks covered, or even 10% off the bill, but we got nothing. My husband and I were very disappointed in Fermin’s and will not be returning.

This place is literally a big hole in the wall. The people who work here are like chickens w/their heads cut off. No one knows what’s going on. This place needs to be bought out and revamped. The décor is like a waiting room to hell. Black ceiling & red chairs?! The fake plants are dusty. I’m starting to fall asleep because the food is taking forever. Why didn’t I get up and leave? Well my Grampa said they have good food but I don’t think he knows what’s good anymore since we ate out of a gas station that served Mexican food the other night. Oh well! The food here is store bought then reheated. I just saw the chef wipe his nose w/his hand. I don’t even see the sign for what rating this place is. There was no tissue or paper towels in the bathroom. I told the waitress, she replied«do you need it now?» No stupid! The bathroom needs it in general. The water is definitely the best thing they serve here. But what can you expect in a po dunk farm town???

Someone from the restaurant left menus at our offices saying they have express lunches and they deliver. Called today to have lunch delivered and was told it would be 10 – 15 mins. Waited 35 mins and called back to check on my order and was informed that they don’t deliver. I explained that 2 men came around in Friday and left menus saying they deliver and the girl on the phone said oh let me go ask. Ummm never mind. I will go somewhere else. You should really inform your employees your new offerings so they are up to date. Secondly why didn’t they use caller id if after 15−20mins and no one showed for an order they called in to check to see if everything was ok. That’s too bad cause with the new offices here in Sanger the delivery would have made it every nice and brought more and much needed business to your restaurant.

This place was absolutely HORRIBLE today. Fathers Day of all days! They advertised a buffet special including all you can eat ribs and live music. Most of the food containers were empty from the time we arrives until we left. There were no ribs, we had not 1, and there was definitely no live music. Definitely wont be coming back here!

The food has been getting worse and worse everytime i eat here. I kept wondering if maybe i was just ordering the wrong thing but after being disappointed 4 times in a row i refuse to eat there again. Their porter house steak was $ 26 and was smaller than the steak you get from denny’s when you oarder the steak and eggs. The seafood trio pasta smelled like rancid fish that had been left out in the sun. Their pork tenderloin was dried out and anything but tender. Don’t even get me started on what they consider to be a full rack of ribs. The food is way over priced for the quality. I heard this place used to actually be pretty good but either it’s under new ownership or the chef doesn’t give a d*mn anymore. Either way this place is in desperate need of a visit from chef Gordon Ramsay and the Kitchen Nightmares crew.

We were the ONLY people in here(well it was a holiday weekend on JULY5th, the monday after july 4th) so the service was friendly and attentive… a bit too attentive for me tho – I dont like chatty waiters. I guess since we were the only ones there he was lonely or something. Anyway I had the french dip – it was the best french dip ive ever had! the sammach was just the right side for normal eating(I dont like when they overload the sammach with meat or the bread is too thick and it doesnt fit in your mouth) and the broth was soooo good. It had tons of oil(olive i hope!) and wasnt too salty and had a realllly good taste to it. Sometimes the au jus sauce is too salty for me but this one was perfect. Mmmm!

Sorry to bang on this place, but I can’t leave it with a single four star review. The big problem was slow service. We were in Sanger, so expectations weren’t very high. A group of six go in for lunch on rainy Wednesday afternoon. It was either here or the Chuck Wagon, and we were worried about seating at the Chuck Wagon. There were a lot of warning signs… white table cloths at lunch; various diplomas of the chef on display(2.5 credits in Asian Fusion cooking?). Anyhow, while placing our order, we’re told the kitchen is out of fries. Fries! Every lunch comes with fries, and they’re out of fries. We place our orders. Each one is supposed to come with soup or salad, and an entrée(sandwich) with fries. At 12:15 we’ve all placed our orders, by 12:25 we’ve all got our soups or salads, and then 40 minutes later, we’re still waiting for the rest of our food. At an hour we got the bill for the salads and left.
